"Show me your most favorite car in either black or white. Choose your background wisely!
I want to see a pic in one of those styles. A bright one with a white car, or a black car
in the dark or with a black background.

Make sure that there are not to many other colors in the pic. B&W pics would do it too, but
they're not necessary. As long as it fits for either, black or white."

The problem is that when we first enter the thread, we are greeted with the poll choices before the poll rules.

The problem, much like the AUP violations we have throughout the site, is that the average person would rather jump in right away than read rules and regulations. The rule about voting for one's self has been in place since the beginning of the GT4 competitions, so it's not new, and the rules take a whole 30sec to read before voting. The Tournament is multiple choice - it requires people to read the rules before voting too; the weekly comps are no different.

My delayed response to all of this is due to me being out of town visiting the girlfriend. Please, all, recast your votes for one of the 10 eligible entries. This will now push the final H2H poll into a 24H poll, but at least it'll be dealt with.

Also, as it's come up before, I feel this should be mentioned; we've had a member try to sway the poll before by creating multiple accounts to vote for their image. Since this is an official GTP competition, if it happens, all accounts are permanently banned.

Well unfortunately for me, this is my first time participating/voting in a GtPlanet Photomode comp. I read the submission rules but didn't think that there would be voting rules. A poll's a poll and typically pretty straight forward. And in 90% of cases, a poll candidate is in fact allowed to vote for himself/his entry. So I didn't think twice about it and just voted for my entry when I saw it in the choices.

But thank you for resetting the poll, the voting mistake won't happen again on my part.

Exact same thing with me man. I didn't think there was a need for poll rules because what else could there possibly be to a poll other than voting?
But hey, we both know that we won't make our mistakes again, either on accident or on purpose.

If this photo is now no longer allowed to participate the photographer needs to kick themselves. It was so good frankly I can't imagine why anyone would need to persuade others to vote for it. It stands up on it's own as a great image and one of the best I've seen on here. Apologies if I've misunderstood the situation.

Let that be a lesson to you all. It is only a bit of fun we do this for.

I will honestly say I had no intention of copying anyone's picture, and I never had in the past. If I remember correctly, I took that picture for the "Glowing Discs" competition but I ended up using a different car instead. That picture is dated at August 25th. That actually coinsides with the Week 38 "Glowing Disc" competition interestingly enough. If I had to guess, I would say I didn't start entering Photomode competitions until after Week 40, but after seeing that that was only Week 38, I have been entering Photomode cometitions for a while before that actually.
I like your picture, that color suits that car very well. What color is it by the way?

Seems legit.

I have no problem at all with it even looking remotely similar to something that somehow got featured in a poll before yours. Yours is a great shot.

And the colour is my absolute favorite, Taiga Metallic. I have it on my McLaren F1, BMW 2002, SP1 and many others. It looks fantastic.
