Glad I ran a tyre test i'll be sacrificing qualifying pace for hopefully a better race result.:(

Jim iv'e just noticed the time penalties for the top 3 is it just me that thinks those amounts are a little harsh? If it is just me i'll shut up.:guilty:

i did ask people's opinions mate, but no one responded. I was thinking about people serving their penalties in-race. when they pitted they stopped in the box for that allotted time. What did you have in mind guys? (going to open steward thread now)

Im not sure mate but i'd hate to work my nuts off for a podium only to be bumped right down by a hefty time penalty:indiff:. The above idea seems a little complicated if im honest, if it's just one race a week maybe leave it be unless someone else has any suggestions. The BHP idea was great but only really works in my opinion under the VW arrangement.

yeah that's the thing, giving a car here a certain power drop could affect it heavily and maybe help another car at a specific track.
It is a long race though, well we have another week until the penalties (if theres any now) come into affect so we'll try figure something out.

Another option could be grid penalties, something like 10, 7 and 5 place grid drops for the top 3. This would just mean doing a manual grid each week

I think adding time to the final results in the best way, or ban people from Q so they have to start from the back the following week?

that's what I had in mind too. I guess its either
- time penalty at end of race
- Grid penalty
- Start from back

I think grid penalty is the best?
1st - 5 place
2nd - 3 place
3rd - 1 place

there we go, I think that's the best idea. If no-one else disagrees we'll do that
We used to reverse the championship table standings. Never even bothered with qualifying in the end someone being caught chopping a chicane around Monza prompted it.

yeah that's how BTCC was when I joined. either we can do it from table standings or last race. We'll just see what others want. if q isn't that important i'll shave 5 mins off, tyres wouldn't work fully anyway

If you see a driver continuously doing this or have any other incidents, please send a PM to a steward (GTP_JIM, johnboy-1975-, TNR_FILO, glenn_Cullen) and we will review the incident, giving penalties where necessary.

I think that's it. Let's just try to have a good clean race, and have fun

Sounds good. I reckon it should be reverse championship standings, seems a bit fairer than doing it on race results if different cars will be stronger at different tracks (You could be really strong at one race but really weak at the next one and you'd have to start at the back)

yeah, we'll do it that way then. The TVR isn't too good here, but it's going to kill everyone at Monza and sarthe

Always going to be the case matey. That's why I always suggested keeping the car list sensible it's practically impossible to balance a great long list equally over a seasons track calender I should know.:ill::ouch:
