No, we're just having a bit of a hiccup after ameertit left. If everyone will get out of their "oh the club is dying we're not gonna ever play gt6 again" moods, then we'll probably be just fine.

It's not "dying". From what I can tell the club is 100% alive. It's going to close. Not a slow death.

If the state of GT6 wasn't what it currently is, we wouldn't be in this position.

Dear fellow club members and ProjectWHaT,

I have decided that now is the time I retire from my position in this club as an “administrator”. This is an official notice from me, not some joke or prank pulled off with some friends. Please continue reading for more.

It has come to my attention that things around here haven’t been up-to-date or complete. Lots of things are still a work in progress after 7 months of this thread being published. The OP has been left scattered with the phrases “coming soon” or “work in progress”. Nothing has been updated. Another thing I dislike is the idea of making it an entire drivers club. Not just a cops and cruise club. The focus isn’t too clear in a drivers clubs. It’s been pretty hard to get some legit cruising.

Things haven’t been the same as they were before. I just don’t get the same feeling as I did before. By feeling I mean the atmosphere. A while ago, everyone just got along and enjoyed cruising in the rain at Sarthe. Now, there’s someone who hates someone else. There just isn’t a family anymore it seems.

To me, this club feels like a corporation. Everything has to be split up into percentages or numbers. If any members here thought that I own half and WHaT owns the other half, you’re wrong. I only own 10% percent of the club. This shows me how power-hungry WHaT is. Just because you own 90% doesn’t mean you’re making things any better. You have all this power but you’re doing nothing to contribute. Even some of the club moderators have shown their grief in the moderator and admin conversation.

You claim you do most of the work, but in reality, you don’t. We’re not your “Congress that just passes things.” We come up with thoughts and ideas. You didn’t make the whole OP by yourself. Lots of it was from Ace’s or Beav’s. You just want your name to be labeled on everything you see in front of you. That’s not how running a club works.

WHaT, your time ruling the cruising community is up.

It’s time to get Legit again.

Here's my plan for this club and for the future.

The mods and I have been thinking about doing a Gumball 3000 styled event. I was going to save for Zahara, but seeing the events that has occurred today, I think we're going to do it as a farewell for this club. A one last, "hoorah!".

More details about this Gumball 3000 styled event will be announced soon.

After the event, I'm going to close this club, and join the next one that's made by whoever and wish them a good luck.

  • Ameer left his admin position, criticising WHaT's leadership skills
  • Everyone else pounces on WHaT to pan his leadership.
  • WHaT announces closure of club with Gumball 3000 styled cruise
  • Everyone boycotts cruise in protest
  • Club is shut down and nobody speaks to each other ever again.
