Finding the right limit for even more cars would be a nightmare, its taken a fair bit of testing just for these

I agree with ellis, it would be a lot more fun with maybe the A4, CLK, TT, M3. I bet it is possible to have them all going at the same pace.

Maybe ETID and Ellis could do the testing (brett your probably sick of it) and see if you can create a level playing field for all the cars.

Funnily enough that was excactly my thought when I read Etids message but decided to stay quiet. Bus seeing as you came out with it ill have to agree :lol:
If we decide to do a 2 tier S3 this might become too much anyway. Its nice to have something other than practice in the FGT's all the time though.

Yeah which is why I'm reluctant to do the 2 tier thing, because I think this will be really good 👍
But if people decide to do it then fair do's, this is a democracy after all :lol:

Its kind of a democracy :lol:

Its like british politics, I am the prime minister so if I REALLY insist then democracy can jog on :lol: but if I dont mind then we vote :D

After the BST V8 race today, I´m going to test the stock MERC/ALFA/CALLY to get to a good Lap-time.
I will start with all bone stock and then I´ll adjust. Limit the pp to 530-535. Therefore you can´t run with max DF on the Cally/Alfa => reduce their speed a bit and make it closer.
Or add weight/ reduce power don´t know yet :D

But the limited Downforce sounds best to me.

Thanks Sak, its tough for me to test until tomorrow. Will you try them all at 400 bhp please and let me know if they are close/still fun.
Cheers.

Fair enough, we will see what comes out of testing. Its all just trying things out at this stage.

You sure can, it will start in the new year. Wednesdays 9-10 approx starting maybe 2nd week in Jan. We are still testing these machines to try and make them even so keep your eye on the thread.

Sweet :) Hope it gets started sooner!!

Soo I did a short Testing.

First I drove the Cars in Stock trim all at Nürb GP/D (1 out lap and 3 fast ones):

Mercedes 550pp 980kg 295kw (400hp) => 1:28.055
Alfa 555pp 1010kg 324kw => 1:27.533
VX Cally 561 pp 1060kg 351kw => 1:26.881
Opel Cally 552pp 1040kg 329kw => 1:27.371

I tuned the DF to 35/55 each => all where "equal".

After that I tuned all to 295kw/400ish BHP (hope thats correct; if not I´ll do it again for 305kw because there are two different HP-Calculators I searched for)
and did the same test again:

Mercedes time didn´t change maybe I´ll get it in the 27´s if I test more
VX Cally => 1:28.094 (minor cutting issue at T2/4)
Alfa => 1:28.261 (m c i at T2/4)
Opel Cally => 1:28.613 (minor mistakes by myself => 0.3-0.5 seconds off)

=> Brett you have your winner :D
pp values are different but the Lap-Times are almost equal.
(Stock downtuned => no Turbo // DF 35/55 // RS-Tires // Grip Real // No Aids ABS = 1)

Fantastic sakery 👍
Were they still fun to drive at 400bhp?
If yes we are on for our settings :D

It was fun because all 4 Cars felt good and fast.
All can do high 1:27s in the 400bhp tune I think. Maybe even better if you tweak/test them more.
The Merc wasn´t run in => maybe we can raise the power a bit.

So was the merc standard for the 2nd test? or 400 bhp

Good they are still fun, ill update the OP soon, thanks for your work.

I'm afraid I definitely won't be racing this time around mate. After Christmas i'm signing up for iRacing and that's gonna take a massive chunk out of my spare time with practicing, learning the tracks and qualifying.

Ok sweet, hopefully I will have a new job then so let me know times etc. hopefully I can help you guys out.

Wow, I am surprised it is not more. Thats great so it would be 7pm where your at when we start, is that ok with you?
