sim race driver i love your second pic. where did you get the hooks for the surround ?

They're standard wall mounts for stereo speakers.
Any local electronic store in your area should have them. ( I got mine from a store here in California called "Fry's Electronics" - but stores such as "Best Buy", or "Good Guys" or even "Circuit City" should carry them as well!)

They come in different sizes, depending on how big of a speaker you need to hang. I believe the biggest ones that are available can hold up to a 10pound speaker.

Hope this helps?

Some of you people really do need to get out, to the fresh air. Don't any of you have lifes.

I have a 45 hours/week job, a 1968 Chrysler Newport convertible that I am currently restoring (http://public.fotki.com/newportconv/), two ****friends to entertain, I am travelling at least 3 weeks per year, I go frequently to theaters & museums, I read a lot of books so, in conclusion, I think I have a life...

So stay away from this forum if you have nothing intelligent to say.

How about this?

Here mine. Just finished adding a clutch pedal using a spare DFP pedal set. It works great with Toca 2. This game is so well done (when playing the pro-sim mode) that it will actually give you a slight advantage if you can use the clutch properly.

The only downside is that the clutch is digital (on/off). I would prefer analog (since the game supports analog clutch) but the two axis on the DFP are taken for brake and throttle and there are no pressure sensitive button that I can find on the wheel. So it's wired to the L2 but still works very well.

wow that preety cool, one question though howed you set up the pedals, as in where/how did you manage to connect them to your ps2 or wheel?

oh yea an sorry guys ill put all the pictures on this thread in the first post as soon as i can..i'm soo lazy =(....

I used the original pedal wire and wired it to the L2 button on the wheel I then cut the wire in two and installed a standard stereo plug for easy hook up (you can see it on the left side of the picture.

The Xlerator Wheel Stand. I make these and sell them. You can rip up some game with this device. Very real driving position in the comfort of your favorite recliner, chair or sofa. This stand weighs 10 lbs but feels like 3-4000 lbs of race car. Stability, is what makes the stand work so well. Available on ebay. or

Nice Job! Way to go! 👍
I guess you'll be putting your TV/Monitor just in front of the DFP I take it eah, as it seems like that area is being built just for that right?

yeah and i also plan to put a reciever and all the systems behind the seat, thats what all of the extra room in the back is for. i also plan to make it fully self contained with surround sound as well (just plug power into the wall and your done) but right now i had to get my fix i have had the parts for a while and didnt build anything cause i was at a loss on what to do. fortunately my dad had some 3x3 steel tubing laying arround doing nothing (dont ask long story) and thats the base.
All the white you see is primered steel. seat i got from summit racing. this thing is strong enough to hold up anything i throw at it (my roommate is about 330 so i was trying to over engineer)
but is a wonderful thing when you can weld makes things last forever

how much did that seat cost? and do summit have a website that you can order from...btw sweet as cockpit, looks really clean and neat.

the seat cost $40 but if you get it i would recommend getting it with the cover. cause the plastic is a bit hard to sit on. and last night i raced the 4 hour roadster enduro and had to get up between every pit.
http://www.summitracing.com/ the site wont let me get a direct link. but check out the online store, interior, then seats. and you will see the choices.

i got the greatest setup ever, chair-$20, wal-mart...Table-$20,wal-mart. DFP-$150, best buy.

Alright, thats missing one thing, simpson 5 point racing harness, incase the chair breaks...
