i think i should win the award for "Most Ghetto-Rigged DFP Setup"

Aw, I dunno... I admit you score BIG points for the use of clamps, bar stools, and a plaid couch, but my FedEx furniture abomination oughta be in the running somewhere! :D

WTF?

Ok, so you have a gear shifter that only clicks up and down, but you have a clutch, whats the point?? i dont mean to sound offensive just asking :)

and where can i get one that has

a "H" shift thing(like real car)?? andhow much (i live in england):yuck:

Porsche GT3 Cup cars (from a one-make series in australia) have sequential gearboxes as well as a clutch pedal.

you can flat shift on the upchanges but for the downshifts you need the good old heel-n-toe with the clutch in. and ill repeat that it is a sequential gearbox.

thus: sequential gearboxes + clutch pedal = it happens!

YOU MADE THAT??? how long did that take, and how you go about making that? Can see in the video that it bucks with gear change and tilts for cornering. That raceseat is awesome!!!!

...

You can get a top quality "H-Shifter" from Frex....2nd pic down, identified by the words Hshift+ for 283 EUROS...

However, it wil ONLY work on the PC...as no 'console game' currently offers support for a 'clutch'....then again, not many PC games do but there are a few!

It reminds me a lot of the Frex SimConMotion platform...however, both are top notch products! Would love to see something like this some how become incorporated into console sims, such as GT4 and the upcoming TOCA 3 game in Feb. đź‘Ť

Man I wish there was space where i live to incorporated one of those motion setups. :scared:

Yes, it takes around 100 houres (planning - to - first test drive) the original Frex-racingseat ( www.frex.com/gp/ ) move only the seat, my Racingseat (with Frex parts) move (turn) the complete platform with the wheel and pedals. In the video drives the servocylinder only the half way they can drive.
Sorry for my bad english.:indiff:

MotZodd

I understand what poopsht is saying...A thread of just pictures!!!! When I was building mine it takes forever to scroll thru all the text to finally find someone with pictures. No coments! Just post a picture. I dont care what anyone thinks and im not interested in anyones coments. I just want to see pictures. who cares if you have posted your pics in another thread. How about just reposting the pic again with out coments! It seems so simple. Cockpit Gallery!!!! Not cockpit coments. There, take that!...I will start with mine.
looks like a space saver

I tried using mine on a dinner table today (just got mine and haven't quite finished my cockpit yet,) and wow was it ever wobbly. Instead I put it on a small end table, but then my chair was too high, I had to reach way down for the steering wheel. I'm sure I looked pretty stupid...

the sad thing is i can probably afford to build one like NR...but then i wont have a 40" Sony Bravia LCD tv to play on....i think i need to chat with you on aim NR500 :)

Hi, I just made this last weekend after strolling the forums here for the last bit. The frame is made from aluminum cable tray. Dashboard is real immitation hardwood. The seat is out of a miata. I wanted it to be as light as possible while still being very ridgid. The Only thing I had to pay for was the seat (50$CAN) everything else I already had. Thanks for the help from all the great posts here.
