I drink Coca-Cola for Coke Zero, but if we don't have Coke Zero then I drink either. It usually depends what my mom buys.

I prefer Coke.

I've been to mexico before. Coke over there is waaaaaay beter than the coke here in the US. Drinking coke for me here disgusts me.
Someone told me the sugar is more 'natural' in the ingredients in mexico's coke. I could be wrong but I actually noticed a less sweet difference in American Coke.
Therefore I prefer Pepsi.

Mexican Coke uses cane sugar while US Coke uses high fructose corn syrup. That's where the "naturalness" and taste difference comes from.

That's why I prefer Pepsi Throwback over original Pepsi, and Mexican Coke over American Coke.

where I'm at, the original Pepsi is a bit rough in my mouth and throat than Coke (when they're still cold and bubbly), so I'd pick Coke...

Coke or Pepsi: Coke
Coke Light or Pepsi Diet: Coke Light
Coke Zero or Pepsi Max: Pepsi Max

but I'd vote for Pepsi, because Pepsi Blue wins over all of them any day. :D I miss Pepsi Blue... :(

I like Pepsi better to drink on its own, Coke better for mixing. It's only a very slight preference though, I generally just prefer whatever I've been drinking lately.

All diet colas taste awful to me; personally I struggle to how people prefer diet coke over normal coke. I find it really bland.
Aspartame is a silent killer... I'll stick with sugar. Bit off topic, but Jones Soda blows both out of the water and now using sugar cane. Which means its more natural. Hippie much, eh?

I also dislike diet sodas, expecially diet Pepsi , but I find the added flavors used in Coke Zer0 to taste better than normal Coca-Cola.

Root Beer! I don't really like either that much, but they're a sugary drink, so I don't dislike them ;)

Seriously, aspartame and all of the other "fake sugars" or sweeteners made from sugar just make my stomach hurt, like I swallowed a boulder. I can't even chew most gum anymore because almost all of them are sugar free...

It's all down to moderation in the end too, but still, sugar is the better route. Whenever my mom grabs me a coffee, its always two sweetner instead of sugar. Can't drink it... it's almost like a Coke to be honest. One packet is double the sweetness of 1tsp of sugar, think of that in diet soda. Sorbitol is also used in diet soda and sugar-free gum... which is probably why you feel like that.

Nothing beats the Mexican Imported Coca Cola

Completely agree. Too bad they stopped selling it here....

+1 I think I can still find it at a local liquor market

Rootbeer!

👍 👍 👍

Or Sun Drop, which I had on vacation in South Carolina, but they don't sell it in Connecticut. :grumpy:

Anyone ever have the "Throwback" sodas with REAL sugar?! They taste great, I had a Throwback Mountain Dew, tastes good, none of that syrupy artificial grossness.

I can't drink either of the two because of diabetes. In the pass, and because this thread is about one or the other, I would have to go with Coke.

Pepsi is just too sweet for my taste.
