Yep. Cincy is going to meet the Louisville/Notre Dame winner.

Congratulations to all conference champions on both the men's and women's sides. Selection Sunday is this Sunday.

Is it bad that I don't have tickets to the tourney even though it's a few minutes drive from my house? I've thought about it...

HEADS-UP: Today is Selection Sunday. We'll have to see who all will make the NCAA Tournament on the respective roads to New Orleans (Men's NCAA D1 C'ship) and Denver (Women's NCAA D1 C'Ship).

Congratulations again to all conference champions, including one of my former schools- Lamar University (Southland Men's Champs).

LAST FOUR IN: California, South Florida, Iona, BYU

Well... get to filling out your brackets!

All I can say is Murray State got a terrible drop this weekend AND Drexel was for some reason not in. Iona shouldn't be there.

Those were some crazy upsets! Florida State beats Duke and UNC??? Vanderbilt beats Kentucky!?
Vanderbilt played Kentucky hard when they played at Vandy. Kentucky fans knew to be wary of Vandy but the players have been off their game all weekend.

I'm hopeful this gets the players to start taking even the smallest of competitors seriously.

That said, Kentucky gets to play in Louisville? That may as well be a home game. We travel to Hawaii to watch these guys play, so 70 miles is easy. Most fans won't even need a hotel room.

I have a feeling I can't live up to my 30 correct first round games from last year. Some of these are really hard. Wichita/VCU is a headscratcher, along with SMC/Purdue, ND/Xavier, Florida/UVA, and Gonzaga/WVU. I'm also very upset that Carolina got the biggest joke of a region I've ever seen in my life apart from Kansas, and Duke got a freakin' juggernaut.

7/10 this year seem to be the most vulnerable for upsets (if they can be called that).

Then again, there's a team that for some reason cannot do anything in the first round (begins with a V and won the SEC). 3 of the last 4 tournaments they have went in as a 4 or 5 seed and promptly lost to a 12 or a 13.

I wrote down Harvard with that same mindset, but I'm scared. I feel like Festus Ezeli can take over that first round game..

I think the upsets will be quite small compared to last year's weirdness. One group had 5 upsets in the round of 64 while another group had 0.

Non-conference wasn't as good. Before you guys got to raping us, there were a few bad losses in there. I think Clemson was the real blemish. You guys sure impressed me though, the whole seeding thing was off. St. Bonaventure is probably favorable for yall though .

True. I only know when we win a basketball game when the brahs' blood-curdling screams echo through the city.

Is someone getting stabbed? No, Michael Snaer hit a buzzerbeater.

You have to admit, it is pretty exciting. Austin Rivers hitting the 3 to beat the Tar Holes is probably in my top 3 moments of 2012 so far, and the rubbing it in afterwards right up there with it! It came back to us, nonetheless, but still fun ;).

Random stuff...

* I will say this- Florida State convinced me when they took down both North Carolina and Duke... at least twice! If you can do that in the ACC, you're saying something. Florida State can go pretty far if they can keep up their solid play.

* Not to get on FoolKiller's bad side, but Kentucky and Duke are in the same bracket. If both make it to the Elite 8, it will be a rematch of that much-played 1992 match between Duke and UK to determine who goes to New Orleans.

* My favorite #8 vs. #9 match is Iowa State vs. Connecticut. I'm sort of okay with putting Iowa State ahead of UConn. Iowa State had a heck of a season much like Florida State and Baylor. On paper, Iowa State vs. UConn should be a tremendous match. I'm saying "on paper" because I'm pretty sure what seems to be a good match may be some non-competitive blowout when the game is actually played.

Haven't really thought of any upsets thus far.

I wouldn't bet on Duke making the Elite 8. I love my boys, but they are probably the weakest 2 seed ever. They are chronic overachievers. We don't have any productive big men in terms of scoring, and if we are fortunate to get to Baylor, Acy and Jones III will have a field day. Go Devils!

Only way Duke will do good is if Mason Plumlee gets more aggressive and goes to the basket more. Also if they would stop shooting so many unnecessary 3's! But i can definitely see upsets happening because Syracuse, Kentucky, UNC, Duke, all those big schools have had their share of bad games

Let's see what the Dance will be like for the ladies. Women's brackets for NCAA Division 1 are as follows:

Sorry to all who didn't make this year's tournament. So that's how the ladies will play 'ball this postseason.

To both men's and women's teams in all levels of competition, good luck to all of your team(s). Put on a great show and go as far as you can!

Notre Dame gets a home game for the first weekend and UConn is pretty much home til the Final 4 (if they get there). Meanwhile, Stanford plays a road game against a #16! How often does that happen?

The First Four matches begin tonight in the men's tournament! Here are tonight's matches:

* Western Kentucky vs. Mississippi Valley State (winner gets #1 Kentucky)
* Iona vs. BYU (winner gets #3 Marquette)

I can only imagine if WKU wins. That would be the FoolKiller special- former school vs. alma mater... but the game being played at UK's rivals in Louisville. That would be the Bluegrass Special.

Best wishes to all 68 teams in this year's tourney!

I just finished my school pool bracket. I always go game-by-game, so it can get a bit screwy. My Final Four has the 3 #2 seeds and Kentucky (staying true to my Duke promise), and my Sweet 16 includes Long Beach State, Murray State, Vanderbilt (reluctantly, they lose every freakin' year), and NC State, along with the other 1-4 seeds.

Fab Melo was declared academically ineligible. So if you think Syracuse is suspect heading into March Madness, they are now even more so with no Fab Melo.

Currently, it's 34-28 in favor of Mississippi Valley State ahead of Western Kentucky with 13:37 left in the game. 1337... doesn't that mean "leet" that the kids say? Anyhow, enjoy college ball!

No matter what the decision in this last 1:07, what a way to start March Madness! WKU comes back from a 15+ deficit to tie at 54!

WKU wins! 59-58! One of the biggest collapses in recent memory, a 16 point deficit erased by the Hilltoppers. Congrats Keef ;).

That's March for you, CAM and others. I just caught the tail end of that game. Iona/BYU on deck to cap off the night.

Iona and BYU off to a rip-roarin' pace so far, and I can watch pretty comfortably since I have Marquette (this winner's opponent) losing in the 3rd Round. If I had to pick this for my bracket, which I didn't, I would've picked BYU, but I'm liking what Lamont Jones and Iona are showing me.

Look at the Gaels go! Do we have VCU part 2 on our hands?

The scores to both games fail me, but here's the story so far- two big leads BLOWN. Western Kentucky came back to send Mississippi Valley State packing; and when I thought BYU could have used Jimmer F., the Cougars came from way back to take down the Iona Gaels.

Wednesday night: Lamar vs. Vermont and South Florida vs. California. I am sentimentally rooting for Lamar since I used to be a student of Lamar University.

BYU's comeback was the largest in Tournament history. That's pretty neat.
