One of the reasons why I love college sports more than I do pro sports is because of weeks like this. Sports rivalries are nothing new. Rivalries are just more fun in the collegiate ranks than in pro ranks to me. Rivalries such as Ohio State vs. Michigan and Duke vs. North Carolina surpass or meet the intensity of pro rivalries like the New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox. If ever there is a time to care about college football in the regular season, this is the week.

Teams like North Dakota State, Fordham, Sam Houston State, Coastal Carolina, and countless others will be competing for the 2013 National Championship in NCAA FCS. No- Georgia Southern (who beat Florida this past weekend) is not in this season's FCS championship.
Good luck to all of your teams this Thanksgiving weekend. Yes- even your rivals; I'm all about being a good sport.
