I can't believe the Ducks pulled it off last night. I'm pretty sure that was the biggest game at Autzen ever. Any time I think of attending a Duck game, the thought of traffic there and back kills that idea every time

Yeah, Omnis, there have been some banger games this season. Some unlikely results and some closer-than-expected games also. Last night's Ole Miss at LSU game was wild going down to Overtime. LSU won that one 29-26.

Hello, GTPlaneteers! May I interest you in another week of college football? Week 8 is here! Here is a preview of this week's games...

* The Troy Trojans head on down to Mobile, Alabama to meet the USA Jaguars. USA = University of South Alabama, mind you.

* The Bearkats of Sam Houston State University will welcome in some Hilltoppers from Western Kentucky in one of two "Hump Day" games on Wednesday.

* The Boston College Eagles will battle at the Virginia Tech Hokies. Birds of different feathers collide in Blacksburg, VA.

* Florida State heads up to Duke University to take on the Blue Devils. The Seminoles are stuck on one win so far this season.

* Can Dolph Drago's Purdue Boilermakers upset the No. 2 Oregon Ducks at Purdue in this Friday Night prime time match?

* The No. 6 Miami Hurricanes have yet to be defeated- 6-0. Can they improve to 7-0 when they head up to Louisville to face the Cardinals?

* The East Carolina Pirates will try to hand the Army Black Knights their first loss of the season. This game played in beautiful West Point, NY.

* How about a "Tiger Bowl?" We got the Auburn Tigers at the No. 19 Missouri Tigers coming up on Saturday.

* The greater Chicago area will see a Big Ten battle as the Northwestern Wildcats host the Wisconsin Badgers.

* After surviving a scare last week, the No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide head over to Rocky Top to meet the No. 11 Tennessee Volunteers.

* Let's see what Michigan is made of. The No. 24 Michigan Wolverines will hit the road to take on the pretty hot No. 22 Illinois Fighting Illini.

* Navy is ranked No. 25 in the nation. The Midshipmen will host the Charlotte 49ers.

* The Washington State Cougars will host the Hawaii/Hawai'i Warriors.

* My beloved Houston Cougars will play at the Kansas Jayhawks, in a game to be played at Arrowhead Stadium.

* The Buckeye State has this MAC in-state rivalry, as the Ohio Bobcats play at Ben Roethlisberger's alma mater- the Miami (of Ohio) Redhawks.

* Omnis' Florida Atlantic Owls will visit San Antonio to take on the UTSA Roadrunners. Birds of different feathers.

* Yard_Sale's Arizona Wildcats have a high-profile match coming up when the Colorado Buffaloes visit Tuscon, Arizona.

* Rival states collide in Arkansas as The Boot Trophy is on the line. The No. 8 LSU Tigers will play at the Arkansas Razorbacks.

* No. 1 Texas faces a HUGE test on Saturday. Yes- bigger than the Red River Rivalry. The Texas Longhorns host the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs.

* Jordan's Kentucky Wildcats will head down to The Swamp to take on the Florida Gators. Three teams in the SEC have 3-3 overall records, and two of those teams play in this game.

* A Colorado collision is in order when the Colorado State Rams play at the Air Force Falcons.

* Two Dakota States clash in a rivalry game. TB's North Dakota State Bison host the South Dakota State Jackrabbits.

Many more games across many more divisions for this week, but these are some of the ones I wanted to highlight on. Get jacked for a new week of college football! Enjoy this week's games!

Woot has NCAA socks on sale.

I'm slightly offended.

Wrong logo, not even the right letters. At least they got the colors right.

When's the last time Army and Navy were undefeated and ranked in the Top 25?

Would be sick if they were both undefeated for Army-Navy and wound up in the playoffs.

To my knowledge, Army hasn't been this good since about 1996. Army has been National Champions about three times, mostly around the late stages of World War 2. Navy is usually the better of the three Service Academies in NCAA Division 1 (Army, Navy, Air Force). It would honestly be very cool if Army and Navy ran the table until the Army-Navy Game (which is one of my favorite rivalries).

Most of these facts I'm sharing are off the top of my head. Don't take too much of this for gospel.

Great weekend of football and I was surprised that the Ducks knocked off OSU. I think Ryan Day may start to feel some heat and may lose his job if they lose to Michigan again (they shouldn't) and they don't make some noise in the playoffs

This isn't a college post, but it's an interesting High School post. Check this out...

Imagine passing for 817 yards, and your team still LOSES the game. That is what happened to a player named Peyton Houston, a High School Sophomore QB playing for Evangel Christian Academy in Louisiana. His latest game: 53-68 pass attempts, 817 passing yards, 8 passing touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns. All that hard work. Yet... Evangel Christian Academy lost 77-76 in Overtime to Captain Shreve (another Louisiana High School). Either be happy as this guy was balling with that stat line, or be sad it all got spoiled as his team lost the game. High School football be weird.

You know some college games can be like "basketball on grass" with high scoring. This is still a strange story.

Hawaii/Hawai'i will join the Mountain West as a football-only member. They play in the non-football Big West conference for most of their other sports.

Tonight on ESPN2, it will be the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at the Sam Houston State Bearkats. If you'll be watching, enjoy tonight's game!

Florida State football has gone straight to Hell lately. Tonight, they fell at Duke 23-16. Florida State University was 22-0 all-time against Duke. The Blue Devils finally figured out how to beat the Seminoles on this night. Floundering Florida State is now 1-6 on the 2024 college football season.

Even if you tried, there would be no way you could see every college football game played nationwide. So be sure to enjoy whatever action you can get to see or want to see. Maybe the marquee match tonight is No. 5 Georgia at No. 1 Texas.

Enjoy today's/tonight's games!

A 13-9 slugfest win for the Bison to keep the Dakota Marker in Fargo!

So much goes on in college football. Let me muse on some of this awesomeness we call college football...

* No. 5 Georgia at No. 1 Texas was the Feature Presentation (so to speak) of today's games. It was a banger of a game, but Georgia was just too much for the Longhorns. Georgia Bulldogs win 30-15 at the top-ranked Texas Longhorns. On a somber note, my condolences go out to the University of Georgia on the passing of their live mascot, UGA X (nicknamed "Que").

* Alabama at Tennessee was one of the three great matches lined up for ABC this Saturday. Alabama had a chance to maybe come back, but a foolish Personal Foul penalty put Alabama in a 4th and 20+ yard hole that they couldn't escape. The Tennessee Volunteers upset Alabama 24-17.

* Hopefully the NFL side of this isn't a bad sign... Houston lost at Kansas 42-14 with this game played at Arrowhead Pond, home to the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs. Houston is 2-4 and made 1-5 Kansas look like CFP contenders.

* Did you see the game between Miami at Louisville? I saw the game from the 3rd Quarter onwards, and this game was nuts. The Miami Hurricanes had a great lead. Louisville, however, returned a kickoff for a coast-to-coast touchdown. Later, they'd turn over Miami and get a touchdown later to tie the game at 31-31. Miami, though, escaped Louisville with a wild 52-45 win. The 'Canes are still undefeated.

* No. 24 Michigan went out to the No. 22 Illinois Fighting Illini. The boys from Champaign won 21-7. This is Illinois' best start to the season in the past 20-seasons.

* Tucson, Arizona faced an invasion of Buffaloes from the University of Colorado. Yard_Sale's Arizona Wildcats got gored in this one- a 34-7 loss to Colorado.

* There were happy times in Atlanta as Georgia Tech scored an early touchdown on Notre Dame. However, the Fighting Irish pummeled the GT Yellow Jackets 31-13. Even though Georgia Tech is based in Atlanta, this game was played at the Atlanta Falcons' stadium.

* Indiana has been rather surprising this season. The Hoo-Hoo-Hoosiers whacked the Nebraska Cornhuskers 56-7 at home.

* Omnis' Florida Atlantic Owls fell 38-24 in San Antonio playing at the UTSA Roadrunners.

* Both Army and Navy remain undefeated. Both won at home. It was a 45-28 smashing the No. 23 Army Black Knights put on the East Carolina Pirates, and the Charlotte 49ers got treated to a 51-17 thrashing at the No. 25 Navy Midshipmen. Both teams now 7-0 on the season and ranked.

* The rough ride in 2024 continues for Dolph Drago's Purdue Boilermakers, as they got derailed 35-0 to the visiting No. 2 Oregon Ducks.

* Oklahoma was once a Big XII power. Now, the Sooners are Struggle Bus in the SEC. South Carolina came into Norman, OK and hammered the Sooners 35-9.

* Jordan's Kentucky Wildcats didn't have such a good time at the Swamp. The Florida Gators swamped the Wildcats in The Swamp 48-20.

Congratulations to all other winners from this week's games!

Another crazy Saturday. What will the rankings look like tomorrow?

The latest AP Top 25 Polls were released. I will only focus on the Top 12, since the College Football Playoff involves the teams ranked 1st through 12th:

(! = currently undefeated)

--- AP Poll Top 25 (Top 12 only; as of October 20, 2024) ---
01: Oregon!
02: Georgia
03: Penn State!
04: Ohio State
05: Texas
06: Miami (FL)!
07: Tennessee
08: LSU
09: Clemson
10: Iowa State!
11: BYU!
12: Notre Dame

So after the big upset in Austin, Georgia moves up to 2nd while Texas drops to 5th. Other teams that are undefeated and in the AP Top 25 in NCAA FBS: Indiana (13th), Pittsburgh (19th), Army (23th), and Navy (24th).

Speaking of the Georgia at Texas game, Texas was fined $250K USD for unruly fans on a controversial call by the referees. What looked like offensive pass interference was originally called as defensive pass interference. That play ended up being an interception by the Texas Longhorns returned to be 1st and Goal. The fans hated this call that they started throwing water bottles and other debris onto the football field. The game was delayed to try to clean up the trash.

I will preview the new week in a future post.

Welcome to Week 9! Let me make light of some of this week's games...

* The Sam Houston State Bearkats at Florida International Golden Panthers and UTEP Miners at Louisiana Tech Bulldogs kick off this week of college football starting this Tuesday.

* "Hump Day" college football includes an all-Southern night of college football. Matches with the Liberty Flames at the Kennesaw State Owls and the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders at Jacksonville State Gamecocks make up the Wednesday lineup this week.

* No. 19 Pittsburgh tries to remain unbeaten when the Panthers host the Syracuse Orange.

* The Louisville Cardinals played a banger of a game against Miami and lost. Now the Cardinals will play at another pack of birds on Friday night- the Boston College Eagles.

* The No. 17 Boise State Broncos will play at the tricky and surprising UNLV Rebels.

* After Illinois blew their doors off, the Nebraska Cornhuskers now have to deal with the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes on the road.

* Six teams tried to figure out how to defeat No. 24 Navy, and all six have failed. Can the visiting No. 12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish finally best the Midshipmen this season?

* Time to get Technical as the Golden Tech Yellow Jackets play at the Virginia Tech Hokies this Sunday afternoon.

* East Carolina recently fired their football coach. The Pirates will try to take down the Temple Owls at home.

* No. 1 went down last week. Will No. 1 Oregon fall this week? The Ducks host the No. 20 Illinois Fighting Illini.

* Penn State is undefeated. Will Happy Valley remain happy when the Nittany Lions play at the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday night?

* The UCF Golden Knights have a golden opportunity to hand the No. 11 BYU Cougars their first loss of the season when they host BYU. Will it happen? Find out Saturday afternoon!

* After their fall at Tennessee, the No. 15 Alabama Crimson Tide will host the No. 21 Missouri Tigers.

* North Dakota State, start your engines! The Bison will visit the Bluegrass State to play at the Murray State Racers.

* The No. 5 Texas Longhorns will head out to the Music City as the Vanderbilt Commodores hope to make Texas sing the upset blues.

* The West Virginia Mountaineers will travel out to the desert to meet Yard_sale's Arizona Wildcats.

* The Florida State Seminoles have been a colossal failure in 2024. They can somehow rise to relevance if they can hand the Miami Hurricanes their first loss of the season. Trouble is, they will have to do it in Miami against their War Canoe rivals.

* U. of U at the U. of H. It's the Utah Utes at the Houston Cougars.

* The Bayou Bengals pay a visit to Kyle Field when the No. 8 LSU Tigers meet the No. 14 Texas A&M Aggies.

* The Paul Bunyan Trophy is on the line when the Michigan State Spartans meet the Michigan Wolverines.

* State pride is also on the line in the Sunflower State, as the Kansas Jayhawks play at the No. 16 Kansas State Wildcats.

That's all from me. Whatever game(s) you are interested in this week, enjoy college football this week!

The way I process the latest AP Top 25, I do not have any real complaints. Oregon tops the table since they are that good. Georgia is gritty and basically outclassed the Texas Longhorns on the road. As for the aforementioned Longhorns, Texas dropped all the way down to 5th after their fail. Penn State (3rd) and Miami (FL, 6th) are undefeated and are quite capable.

Also getting Top 25 votes: Washington State, Syracuse, UNLV, Duke, South Carolina, Liberty, and Nebraska.

In case you're wondering, our TB's North Dakota State Bison are atop the NCAA FCS Coaches Poll. The top five is: North Dakota State, Montana State, South Dakota State, South Dakota, and UC-Davis. Dang! The Dakotas got something going on in NCAA FCS football. North Dakota, though, is ranked 7th. Every North Dakota and South Dakota school are in the Top 10 in NCAA FCS right now.

At the top of the hour, Sam Houston State at FIU is coming up on ESPNU, and UTEP at Louisiana Tech is coming up on CBS Sports Network. Enjoy this week of college football!

We got an upset! The Kennesaw State Owls upset the previously undefeated Liberty Flames 27-24 tonight. This is their first win against an NCAA FBS team. I remembered Kennesaw State didn't have a football team for a long while or ever. Now, they finally knock down their first win over an NCAA FBS team. Congratulations to the Owls!

Enjoy this final weekend of October 2024! Hopefully your beloved team(s) win today. Be sure to enjoy any other games that interest you today or tonight.

Let's college football, mates! None of these games are in any particular order.

* After Texas suffered their first loss of the season, what did they do in their next game? Well, the Longhorns rocked 27-24 in the Music City at the Vanderbilt Commodores.

* Tough go for GTPlanet's Jordan, as his Kentucky Wildcats got dropped 24-10 hosting the Auburn Tigers.

* 17-14 was the final in Houston as the Houston Cougars upset the No. 18 Utah Utes. Houston won on a "walk-off" field goal with time expiring. This is UH's 3rd win of the season to improve to 3-5 and 2-3 in the Big XII.

* It was 24-17 in favor of the Texas Southern Tigers at home against the Grambling State Tigers. This is the third win of the season for Texas Southern, improving to 3-4. These two Tiger teams traded a tie, but Texas Southern never trailed in this one.

* Texas A&M tamed the Bayou Bengals in College Station, Texas. The No. 14 TAMU Aggies won 38-23 hosting the No. 8 LSU Tigers. Texas A&M now has won seven straight games.

* "You sunk my battleship!" It was a neutral site game at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ; as the No. 12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish met the No. 24 Navy Midshipmen. Navy not only lost but lost in flames- a 51-14 thrashing. So much for Army and Navy being undefeated heading into the Army-Navy Game...

* Ohio State survived a scare from hosting Nebraska today. THE Ohio State University won 21-17 against the unranked Nebraska Cornhuskers.

* What about Ohio State's primary rivals? You know, the school they call "that school up north?" Well, the Michigan Wolverines (that school) picked up a 24-17 victory at home against the Michigan State Spartans.

* Indiana is 8-0. NO- this is not a drill. The Hoosiers have their most baller season in football in a long while. Indiana Hoosiers beat Washington Huskies at home 31-17. 8-0 for Indiana is commonplace in basketball, but not usually in football. So for you Hoosier fans, ride the wave and enjoy this ride!

* The Wisconsin Badgers wanted to upset CommanderBond's No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions. Didn't happen. The cats from Happy Valley couldn't be any happier to leave UW-Madison with a 28-13 victory.

* The War Canoe was on the line between Florida State and Miami. Can the Seminoles upset the Miami Hurricanes? Nope. Florida State goes to 1-7 while Miami goes to 8-0 with a 36-14 win.

You know who else remained undefeated? Brigham Young University. The No. 11 BYU Cougars won at the UCF Golden Knights 37-24.

* Sunflower State pride was on the line in the Little Apple. The No. 16 Kansas State Wildcats were facing defeat from the Kansas Jayhawks, but the Wildcats took care of business with a 29-27 victory in Manhattan, Kansas.

* TB's North Dakota State Bison revved their engines at the Murray State Racers. To use drag racing speak, Murray State broke on the line as NDSU motored away with a 59-6 victory. North Dakota State scored three touchdowns in the 1st and 2nd Quarters.

* North Dakota State won... did North Dakota win too? No. The Penguins of Youngstown State University took down the visiting North Dakota Fighting Hawks in Overtime 41-40.

* South Dakota pride was on the line between South Dakota at South Dakota State. Just like the previous entry, this one needed Overtime to be solved. It was the South Dakota State Jackrabbits winning 20-17 in Overtime at home against the South Dakota Coyotes.

Congratulations to all other winners from this week!

We hit the double digit weeks now. Welcome to Week 10 of college football! Let me try to introduce some of the many (and I mean MANY) games to be played this week...

* There are a trio of games for Tuesday night. We got New Mexico State at Florida International, Louisiana[-Lafayatte] at Texas State, and Louisiana Tech at Sam Houston State.

* After Liberty got stunned by Kennesaw State last week, both Liberty and Kennesaw State play on the same night. The Liberty Flames host the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, and the Kennesaw State Owls are at the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

* Happy Halloween! Who will be tricked and who will be treated when the Tulane Green Wave play at the Charlotte 49ers?

* Of the three games on Friday, Omnis' Florida Atlantic Owls will host the Bulls of South Florida in a Florida showdown.

* San Diego State seeks to upset No. 15 Boise State on the "Smurf Turf." Can the Aztecs upset the Broncos on the road?

* Go B1G or go home. A heart-pounding matchup is coming up as the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes play at CommanderBond's No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions.

* No. 5 Miami looks to remain undefeated when the Hurricanes host the Duke Blue Devils. Remember- Duke knocked off Florida State last week. They could possibly spoil the 'Canes as well.

* Navy suffered their first loss of the season last week; will the No. 21 Army Black Knights remain undefeated when the Air Force Falcons visit West Point, New York in this battle of Service Academies?

* Dolph Drago's Purdue Boilermakers host the Northwestern Wildcats.

* I still shudder calling a West Coast school as part of an Atlantic conference. Anyhow, Stanford is apparently an Atlantic Coast Conference school when Stanford is way out near the Pacific Ocean. The Cardinal will try to entertain the North Carolina State Wolfpack this Saturday.

* The Big House will be rocking when the defending Champion Michigan Wolverines host the No. 1 Oregon Ducks. This would be the biggest win for Michigan should they pull this one off.

* Florida-Georgia Line. Apparently, some no longer call this the "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party." Whatever YOU call it, it's still a big rivalry game as the Florida Gators take on the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs at the stadium of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars.

* After "walking off" the Utah Utes last week, the Houston Cougars look to upset a rather powerful No. 17 Kansas State Wildcats at home.

* The Golden Knights of the University of Central Florida will host Yard_Sale's Arizona Wildcats.

* The No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers are going to get a taste of Bluegrass when Jordan's Kentucky Wildcats visit Rocky Top.

* No. 18 Pittsburgh has passed every challenge put before them. Will that continue when they visit Dallas to meet the No. 20 SMU Mustangs?

* TB's North Dakota State Bison got through throttling the Murray State Racers on the road. Now NDSU returns home to host the Panthers of the University of Northern Iowa.

Enjoy any college football that interests you this week!

November is a big month for college football. Are you ready for it? Tough contests, big rivalries, and even picking contenders from pretenders all happen this month. Don't forget about that College Football Playoff thing also.

Whatever college football intrigues you today, enjoy today's games!

Ducks are 9-0. I don't recall how long we were #1 for back in 2011 or whenever it was. Nice to see them rolling again and Washington not

Jerome

Collij fütbal. Let's get it! Musings time from yours truly...

* To begin these musings, go B1G or go home. No. 1 Oregon had no problems silencing the Michigan Wolverines in The Big House. 38-17 was the final as the Ducks have yet to be bested. Tenth-straight win for the boys in green and gold.

* The Indiana Hoosiers won at the Michigan State Spartans 47-10. So both of Michigan's best college football programs fell today, both badly. Indiana is now 9-0 on the season. It is one of their best seasons to date.

* Dolph Drago's Purdue Boilermakers hosted the Northwestern Wildcats. It took overtime, but the Wildcats won 26-20.

* No. 4 Ohio State knocked No. 3 Penn State from the unbeaten ranks. The Nittany Lions of Happy Valley were not too happy on this sunny blue sky day. The Buckeyes are the only happy team in Happy Valley after this 20-13 victory.

* Penn State is no longer unbeaten, but you know who remained unbeaten? "The U." The Miami Hurricanes blew away the Duke Blue Devils 53-31 in Miami to improve to 9-0.

* No. 21 Army also remains undefeated, as they grounded the Air Force Falcons 20-3 in West Point, NY. Army is now 8-0 on the season. Did you know that Army has not trailed in any game so far this season?

* The Houston Cougars upset the No. 17 Kansas State Wildcats today! It was a 24-19 victory as the Coogs wore their all-black uniforms for this game. Lovely TDECU Stadium was rocking seeing Houston improve to 4-5 on the season and 3-3 in the Big XII.

* There was another Big XII upset. This time, in Ames, Iowa. The No. 11 Iowa State Cyclones lost at home 23-22 to the visiting Texas Tech Red Raiders.

* The Florida Gators were tamed by the Georgia Bulldogs 34-20. This game took place at the stadium of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars. (NON-RELATED) next year's game between FLA-UGA will be held in Atlanta next year, and then in Tampa Bay the following year. Jacksonville's stadium will undergo renovations, so that is why the venue will change the next couple of years for this rivalry.

* Let's stay in Florida and talk about Florida State. The Seminoles led 3-0 after one quarter, but the North Carolina Tar Heels smacked Florida State 35-11 in Tallahassee.

* Another school calls Tallahassee home- Florida A&M University. This HBCU (historically-Black colleges and universities) had their Homecoming celebration today, hosting Texas Southern. The Rattlers never trailed in this one, though Texas Southern put up quite a fight trying to keep it close. It ended up being a 52-28 victory for Florida A&M. I think I heard the last time Texas Southern defeated FAMU was back in 1965. Ouch.

* On Friday night, Omnis' Florida Atlantic Owls took a hard defeat to the South Florida Bulls. The Bulls won 44-21 at the FAU Owls.

* Also on Friday night, the No. 15 Boise State Broncos easily handled the San Diego State Aztecs on the "Smurf Turf." 56-24 was the final in Boise, Idaho.

* It was basketball on grass in Fayetteville, AR. The No. 19 Ole Miss Rebels won 63-31 at the Arkansas Razorbacks.

* Staying in the SEC, Vanderbilt recorded its first win over Auburn in their football history. The Commodores won 17-7 at the Auburn Tigers.

* Northern Iowa stood no chance on the road at North Dakota State. TB's Bison wrecks another team, 42-19 over UNI this time.

* Texas A&M has been balling after starting the season off with a loss. South Carolina was never scared of the Aggies, as the Gamecocks convincingly won 42-21 over Texas A&M. There are no no more unbeaten teams in the SEC conference ranks.

* Jordan's Kentucky Wildcats went to Rocky Top and got rocked. The Tennessee Volunteers get an easy money win with a 28-18 victory at home over the Kentucky Wildcats.

* Those Cats from the Steel City, the Pittsburgh Panthers, saw their unbeaten record go down in flames when they visited SMU. The Panthers left Dallas with a rought 48-25 loss.

* No. 11 Clemson fell at home to the Louisville Cardinals 33-21.

* Seattle was happy as the Washington Huskies took down the USCal Trojans 26-21.

* After losing bad to Notre Dame last week, the Rice Owls gave the Midshipmen back-to-back losses. Navy gets defeated in Houston 24-10.

* It took late game magic and a "walk-off" field goal for the Baylor Bears to win 37-34 at home against the TCU Horned Frogs.

I aknost forgot to post this before I turned off my main computer. Anyhow, congratulations to all other winners from this week's games!

I want to make a quick omission from my previous post. Zeon Chriss, the quarterback for the University of Houston, accomplished a rare feat- a perfect game! He was 11 for 11 on pass attempts the entire game in their upset of No. 17 Kansas State. It's the first-ever time [at least for the U. of Houston] where a player completed every pass attempt (minimum of 10 attempts).

In any level of gridiron football, Jared Goff of the NFL's Detroit Lions completed 18 of his 18 pass attempts cruising to a 42-29 victory at home over the Seattle Seahawks earlier this 2024 NFL season. It is a great thing when a QB can complete every single pass in a game.
