Considering getting Gran Turismo Sport. Now on sale at Playstations Days of Play for £16/$20.

You're not powerless. But if you don't react, then of course, you'll be ignored and certainly feel powerless.

You're in the same boat as all of us... just because you like to rant doesnt give you 'power'?

Do you think you have anyones' ear here? Maybe you email Kaz?

What am I? I'm a video gamer. Nothing more, but unlike you, I'm happy to accept that a franchise I love is bleeding and am not blind as to why, lol.

Better to say something and get nowhere rather than sit silent and wonder if. Many do the latter.

People like you certainly get wound up when your $20 doesnt get you far.

This GTS thing is just a game, I'm not wound up on being 'happy' or 'sad' how this thing ends up? I dont love this franchise any more than the big names and its just a small part of my life... in fact I got on just fine before this game popped up.

I'm surprised some people expect others to jump on their cry wagon as if its normal.... this is just a diversion to me... Sony could discontinue this game completely and I wouldnt be as upset as you. Get a grip.

Gt6 added new tracks and Content, aside Midfield I believe. And even with microtransactions there, they offers a great variety of ways to earn in game credits doing much as opposed to driving around a small NASCAR track, lol.

FTR, bought the game 2nd hand once I saw more content arrive. That part was very much worth it, for a short while. But their online/sport mode is so broken that that alone isn't sustaining when punishing victims as strongly.

Been a growing issue since launch too.

So let me understand more please. Basically what you're saying is that since you aren't powerless and you want to change things, you proceeded to do so by buying the game and then complain on a forum and going against people who actually like the game.
I'm sure you're really changing things in this way...
I love this game, I love the online racing, I love the fairplay even if sometimes I get penalties not deserved.
Without grinding I have a lot of cars to play with just by completing the daily workout. I believe I bought just 4 or 5 cars in total.
Oh one more thing, I love this game.
Peace

Not upset, like you said, too many good games to get as bothered as you seem to think.

Taking 2 minutes to write an opinion doesn't hurt though (Aside fanboys naturally that cannot fathom anyone opposing anything, lol). Grow up.

To each their own. Like the numpty above, have at it.

Again, doesn't hurt to express opinions here though. Or should everything be all roses, lol.

And to be fair, to know what I'm criticizing, surely, I'd need to have played to know what's what. Crikey.

I chose to not buy as it offered little initially. Saw much get added. And after 4 months now, it's not improving its on going component, hence, 13 quid!

Lol.

Let me tell you something.
You have the right to have an opinion and express it.
But you won't change the game, and moreover it's not really nice, to tell people "grow up" or use "millennial" as an offense. You probably are the one who have to grow up if you behave in this way.
Or you're probably a troll

No troll. But didn't realise I was talking among sensitive children that are happy to send a zinger themselves, lol.

But thank you for giving me this right.

Don't hate the game, learn to read.

Just wish it could live up to its potential, and promise of a new direction. But one that delivers.

(Apologies for double post).
Already down to a

Says an awful lot really that this game ain't retaining any value. Shame.

@ OP. Look into the penalty system first. It's poor, and the game is an awful grind if you want to buy the more expensive cars. Just constant laps around a small bowl. (Or AFK it with rubberband all night, lol).

If that appeals, can't go wrong as it's a bargain. But if looking for a challenge and not to be trolled. I'd stay well clear of this edition and await a proper GT to come.

At this rate, it'll be sooner than later. This game is very poor.

You know there's sod all there, basic and hardly challenging, lol.

2 days at best.

Hence they keep adding so much offline content. And why it's a complete mess at that. They tried with this 'new direction' and it failed.

Otherwise they'd be creating NEW content. Not back-tracking and slashing prices drastically as to re-appeal to their fans, well, many if them.

This version is shallow.

This one takes the piss, genuinely. Very poorly managed

If this game delivered, it would now be looking to move forward. But no, all they're doing is adding offline content and reducing prices. (Not the first sale, online or physical either). It's backtracking so much.

This is very shallow. The offline content is blatantly an afterthought and poorly organised too. Plus, the game is more of a grind than ever before for players with expensive tastes. I get we should work for and earn our successes, but driving around in endless circles or leaving the game AFK for credits as the actual racing simply doesn't pay is just not gaming.

Anyone that thinks so is genuinely deluded at that. Defend it all you want (Not you personally, more a general 'you').

But their online/sport mode is so broken that that alone isn't sustaining when punishing victims as strongly.

You are one 🤬 liar if you say ou don't hate this game.

P.s. seems like i found out how to read;).

Who's asking that?

All I ask is that we actually see this game grow. Not hold back content from the start. Content that has been key to previous GT's past successes.

This is to me, a typical millenials response, lol.

We should be seeing DLC with NEW content to bring to the franchise. (Not to mention that we shouldn't be relying on DLC to keep the game alive in the first place, lol).

To keep it simple, we should have the 90s game/gaming. And more. Far more for the time it takes to create and release this particular game too.

Racing IRL might be seeing less interest, but gaming is on the rise. Bit daft to think Sony are excited by this title. Not when games that are far more simple or open can pull in literally billions these days because they BUILT on their 90s product, lol.

But alas, I'll glady go back for the music, lol.

No one specific but many many people have complained about.. well about everything? Comparisons to the Original game and every edition up and until GT-Sport has been done.

First of all, there is PLENTY of other car games out there with lots and lots of cars bought from cheap chinese suppliers, so many tracks that only few will be mastered. Those games can be bought by everyone that wants them, and there is lots and lots of DLC for those games as well, buy buy buy..

For some reason these things seem forgotten, and PD is simply not the studio today that it was years ago. Back then they were doing what everyone else is doing today. Why should they try and compete in a saturated market filled with clones of formers games, and franchises hell bent on repeating themselves? They have a game they will keep on updating, a game that will constantly be more and more value. And a perfect PS+ companion that brings in nice money for Sony.

90s music: I need Rage Against the Machine in 2018.. the concert i was at in the 90s was mental :)

Was a newbie to Gran Turismo when I bought the disc version of GT Sport so I could sell it if I didn't like it. Just purchased the digital version on the US Playstation store for $21.xx which included the sales tax. Will sell my hard copy on Ebay. Thanks for the heads up

@Crazy Taylor I highly recommend it at that price point. I also saw the ultimate edition (2 Million Credit Head Start & Some Cars) is also on sale. There’s enough single player content now alongside the challenge of moving up the ranks in Sport Mode that it’s worth it.

Its an absolute steal at the Ps Plus discount price (whether you come to like it or not) Day one I paid £50 for a physical copy.

Nope.

Just like my favourite sports team. Though I criticize bad form and poor management. Don't mean I stop supporting them.

By your logic, I must hate my team when they do struggle. Absolutely not. But to deny or ignore the troubles that plague them, that's just daft.

I pre-ordered the Digital Ultimate Version. I’ll admit I felt worried at the time (November 2017) about the content moving forward but happy to see PD making it a long term investment.

13.49 for GT Sport on the PSN store? To say that's a bargain is an understatement. If I didn't have GT Sport I would've jumped on that immediately.

Very nice price, but some of us will have to buy PS4 only for this game so still a big no from me.This may change if they add the new tires physics and it is good enough to satisfy my need for realism.

The chances of GT getting more realistic are slim in my opinion, the two developers that have attempted to bring sim racing to consoles are Slightly Mad Studios and Kunos and both don't have a publisher heavily backing them financially and can pretty much do what they like. PD have Sony to answer to and I doubt Sony will be willing to let the GT series get even more niche than it already is by turning it into a sim, especially when they throw tens of millions of pounds into the franchise, Sony will want their flagship driving series to be accessible as possible to as many people as possible. Had Sony stuck with Evolution Studios and Driveclub then we may have seen GT become more sim like while DC would have catered to the more casual racing game fan but they (unfairly) dumped them even after they managed to turn DC into one of the best console racing games out there through their willingness to stick with it and support it until the end.

I think he's not talking about GTS' physics in general, but about the new tire physics that was confirmed by the people who were at the World Tour. I agree with what you say though, and I can see it being the case in many games. But the new tire physics model has already been confirmed, so it's a matter of when rather than if :)

GTS at £15 is a bargain. Even if you only play it for a day it’s still good value. How many days out do you get for £15 these days. I paid full price for this on day one, I’ve put over 400 hours into it and can honestly say I’m not slightly bored yet. I’ve barely touched gt league either, no interest but I reckon I could easily play for another 400 hours!.

If I knew I would enjoy this game so much, I would of happily paid double. I understand it’s not for everyone, but for me this has been the best value entertainment I’ve had in a long time. If I had got it for £15 I would of been over the moon.

With Playstation Days of Play now live (for the next 11 days). Now is a a good time to buy Gran Turismo Sport.

GT Sport UK is at £16 on PS Store and US is at $20.
VR starter pack (with GTS) UK £199 and US $199

Playstation Blog US / EU

Also stores have deals (such as GAME) in the UK)

For some strange reason my PS4 keeps ejecting my GT Sport disc. I did the fix that Sony published at least 10 times in the last 2 months.

I think I am just going to treat myself to a digital GT Sport version and never worry about that stupid disc again. Thanks for sharing!

1st gen PS4 you can permanent fix it by this way , you can try

I was holding off buying this game because I didnt like the price originally but just snagged it for $20 dollars yesterday on the PSN store. Was worth every penny. Played it all day yesterday and playing it as soon as I get off work in another 2 hours haha.

So, just to verify, if I buy this digital version, delete my disk install, I'll still be able to play this game without starting over?

I won't lose any data, profile, cars, money etc?

Would think so. Saved data is saved elsewhere on PS4 and should be in cloud if you have ps plus.
