Nice rig, seems like it is home made, I wish I had your talent, mine is home made but does not look as good.
One thing I did lately is manage for my (32 inch tv) screen to be right behind my wheel, I can touch it with my fingers with my hands holding the wheel, best thing I ever did for helping immersion.
I did try every single setting in AC(options like reflection set to low gives me much lower fps compared to ultra) and most settings in Nvidia inspector, I also went through almost every single thread related AC video settings on gtplanet, AC forum, steam and race department.
My monitors are 60hz. Through my research, all ppl say vsync gives you input lag which is vital when drifting.
I run with Vsync on and i don't notice serious any lag. In my experience Lag with Vsync depends a lot on the engine the game uses. Source games have to much lag (for competitive shooters) with Vsync same us UE3, while the new UE4 lag is very low to the point it really don't bothers me. In AC the Vsync lag is pretty low to.

Dubai is not an AC track and I don't know how optimized it is. I'd suggest sticking to AC cars and tracks to develop a baseline and that will reveal issues with modded content. Some settings in the Inspector does improve picture quality in AC while consuming much more GPU power thus lower FPS.
My experience is that the nvidia inspector tweak works(improving fps or quality) with most games on my current setup, but AC is not one of them.
And as for pCars, I don't really have any other options to try the video settings on that game apart from downloading at the moment, I would love to pay for it if I can. The only reason I'm downloading it is to compare the pic quality, I don't even have my wheels plugged in atm since I sent the base back to Fanatec to repair.
Anyways, I'm getting around 70-80 fps in pCars(cockpit view, Dubai and no AI) with no nvidia inspector tweak, post processing filter on, AF x8, MSAA, high and ultra on car, shadow, track and world environment.
I agree, I remember watching others video on youtube comparing Monza, but obviously, it's not in the build I installed. the car was z4 gt3 tho.Dubai is not an AC track and I don't know how optimized it is. Good news chaps, the PC will be delivered in the morning & it just so happens I am on holidays from work until 1st AprilGet it set up, create Steam account & get AC ASAP.
Don't forget to put it on 1080p. I was playing it for a while before i realized it was set to 720p by defaultGood news chaps, the PC will be delivered in the morning & it just so happens I am on holidays from work until 1st AprilGet it set up, create Steam account & get AC ASAP.
Don't know why Steam advised 6 hours... it was 1 hour max. Got to get with grips with wheel setup because clutch is not working & steering is very heavy. I use GT2 with G27 pedals.
Steam is one of the quickest sources of downloading for me, too. Normally I get download speeds of about 10mb/secHoly smokes that some slow internet!I recently had to re-download AC from Steam and I think it took about 10-15 minutes. Hope it all goes smoothly. 👍
Thanks buddyI have just read the link but what scares me is that I have very little computer knowledge & therefore would not have a clue how to unzip files
Download 7Zip, it's free. Right click on downloaded file in your download folder, then you will see 7Zip. The easy way then is to Click on Extract Files here. After that, you can cut and paste the folder into the Assetto Corsa root folder. The root folder is Easily found, will put up a link if needed. Took me a while as well mate but definitely worth doing.
Is the RS500 updated so that it works after the Dream Pack? I'd also suggest 7zip. Works for everything and it's free with no bogus add ons or scams. I'd also slow down on adding stuff because if you're adding things and they aren't working either they aren't coded right or you're putting them in the wrong place and you could end up with a jumbled mess and having to start all over.I found a good you tube tutorial & as such, downloaded 3 tracks by using WinRAR. I also downloaded the RS500 into the correct cars folder but cannot see it in game? I assume the natural graphics mod will need to be placed in the weather folder?
It goes into the Assetto Corsa root folder. Steam/Steam Apps/Common/Assetto Corsa if I remember correctly, once in there run the Natural Graphics set up. Go to RaceDepartment, all explained, no changes required to any folder. Any problems then run the Steam Integrity check via Steam. I don't think the RS500 has been altered yet for latest AC version.I found a good you tube tutorial & as such, downloaded 3 tracks by using WinRAR.
