Does not matter, people are still having problems getting it in on time, should be posted after every race. Period to help solve the problem. Glad its easy for you Glena :banghead:

Everyone did manage to get the incident reports submitted in time, but really there shouldn't be a need to remind everyone every single week. :)

Softs, back to hards.. We should try out softs since we must pit now.

The pit stop were only for the last race....

The only race that could be similar will be Rome at the end of the season. And because the race distance is another 25km longer all drivers will need to pit anyway.

Other than that we will either have endurance races which will require multiple pit stops or sprint races which will require none :)

Yep....but the endurance series aren't till the 30th of the Aug right.

Race Results & Stewards Report - Round 8

Tokyo Round 8 Stewards report
Stewards: Memto89, cobra75, ItzRacing, Glenalz81

Race 1

Lap 1 - Octimuscrime - Evildragon – Racing Incident
Verdict: NFA
Optimus tires to take the racing Apex of the corner while evil dragon is on his inside. If he knew he was there or not, positioning his car on the left hand side of the track and then trying to get the Apex of the corner on the first lap with all the field there is never going to work. All other cars manage to either go wide or take the apex depending on what side of the track they are on.

Lap 1 - Killing heidi - Cobra75 – Unsafe Rejoin
Verdict: 30 Second Penalty (Killing-Heidi)
While Killing-Heidi loses it all on his own and cobra was completely blinded by the smoke, it could be argued that heidi needed to wait until the field had passed before moving, especially through a blind high speed corner

Lap 4 - Evildragon - Santu – Avoidable Contact
Verdict: Warning (Evildragon)
While evil is a lot faster through the corner it is still his job to account for the car in front. After coming round the corner evil hits the back of santu which was completely unnecessary. On the other hand santu is breaking in a completely flat out corner, so both to blame for a silly incident.

Lap 4 – Santu – Evildragon – Avoidable Contact
Verdict: 90 Second Penalty (Santu)
Following the previous incident, Santu would’ve been aware of Evlidragon’s presence. Santu however chooses to move across and make contact with Evildragon, forcing him into the wall. On a street circuit, extra care should be taken.

Lap 5 - Memto89 - Itzracing – Racing Incident
Verdict: NFA
Memto gets a run on Itz and they both head into the fast chicane. Memto forces the issue and Itz tries to take the Apex, both cars bounce off each other and Itz gets damage from hitting the wall.

Lap 11 - Itzracing - Evildragon - Racing incident
Verdict: NFA
It is clear that evil has damage which is compromising his driving and on a street circuit it is very hard to keep it out of the way of other cars. There is no malicious intent and evil was not fully in control of his car.

Lap 12 - Itzracing - Glenalz - Avoidable Contact
Verdict: 90 Second Penalty (ItzRacing)
While the 2 cars are coming into turn one hot, itzracing is on the inside and both brake at the same time, but just after the apex which glen is clearly on the outside itzracing rolls off the brakes and rolls onto the curbs not giving the racing room glen still needs as he is still along side.

Lap 20 - Killing heidi - Cobra75 - NFA
Verdict: NFA
The race was finished at this point

Race 2

Lap 1 - Octimuscrime - Play117 - Racing incident
Verdict: NFA
While the field is coming into turn 1 on the first lap, Play tries to make a move on lynxy and then backs out of it. Octimus follows lynxy and makes contact with play, no damage was caused to either car but it is a very low percentage move that could have resulted in much worse outcome.

Lap 2 - Cobra75 - Itzlynxy - Racing incident
Verdict: NFA
Lynx goes wide and into the wall, cobra follows him and has no time to react. Lag may have also played a part.

Lap 2 - Octimuscrime - Evildragon - Blocking
Verdict: 10 Second Penalty (Octimuscrime)
Optimus moves completely over on evil, squeezing him into the wall. The move was in reaction to evils move and was not a defensive move.

Lap 2 - Octimuscrime - Evildragon - Avoidable contact / Driving standards (DQ)
Verdict: Octimus - DQ, evil - DQ
After the blocking evil stays to the left and octimus moves to the right to cover the apex, evil gets the good line into the corner while octopus gets the compromised line. Evil tries to performs the undercut and makes contact with octimus tipping him into a slide. Octimus then reacts to the contact by swerving and ramming evil dragon. With that, there is strong evidence that Evildragon used the handbrake to force the spin and crash damage. The actions from both drivers was unsportsmanlike. No driver should retaliate to a previous incident and should instead allow the CORE Stewards to deal with any incidents. Drivers also should never use the handbrake to ‘take a dive’ and try to implement a penalty on another driver. This act was very dangerous and nearly took out an innocent driver who had no involvement in the incident.

Lap 2 - Glenalz - Santu - Racing incident
Verdict: NFA
Both cars are along side each other, santu tries to take the Apex and glen is there.

Lap 4 - Itzracing - Glenalz - Avoidable contact
Verdict: 90 Second Penalty (ItzRacing)
This is a case of forcing the issue when not even alongside, it’s a short braking zone over a crest so the cars will always be unstable there, glen is clearly covering the line and Itz forces up the inside, understeering past the Apex after braking very late and hitting glen into the wall.

Lap 8 - Cobra75 - Pit in line
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 10 - memto89 - Pit in line
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 12 - Santu929 - Pit in line
Verdict: 30 secs

Octimuscrime – Textbox Use During Race
Verdict: 10 Point Penalty

CORE Australian V8 Supercar Series Update

I have a few announcements to make about some important updates to the series. These updates are being made to tidy up the series a bit more.

Team and Car Selection

  1. Before round 9 begins at Deep Forest, all teams and car selections will be locked in for the remainder of the series. We will not be allowing any more drivers to either chop and change teams or cars. The lock out will take place on the 30th of August. If there has been a change to driving lineups, teams or cars following the Tokyo round, these changes will also be permanent and no more changes can be made from then on.
  2. Any new teams or drivers will also be required to either select the Chevrolet Camaro or Ford Mustang as there is now a lack of competitors in both cars.
Endurance Cup

The Endurance Cup will be going ahead with all teams required to find a co-driver for the 2 races. We are in the process of finalising the full details of the Endurance Cup and we will be making a seperate annoucement shortly with all the details.

Date Changes

There have been a number of changes to the race calendar to bring all the CORE V8 Supercar events in line with the Global GT Series. The following calendar is the official dates for the remainder of the series:

Round 9: Deep Forest - August 30
Round 10: High Speed Ring 500 - September 13
Round 11: Bathurst 1000 - October 4
Round 12: Monaco 600 - October 25
Round 13: Tsukuba - November 8
Round 14: Spa - November 22
Round 15: Rome - December 6

Rear Wings

At the last round there were a number of custom wings which started popping up. I had been running a custom rear wing due to special circumstances and as a result the use of custom wings was overlooked. However at the next round we will begin to police the use of custom rear wings and anyone using them will not be included in the results. This is being done to help give the field a more uniform look in regards to aero packages. To help clear up any confusion, I have taken photos of the rear wings that need to be fitted for each car. Any rear wing other than those listed will not be permitted. These pictures will also be added to the OP, so there will be no excuse for any driver without the correct wing fitted.

Other Rule/Format Changes

In recent weeks there have been a number of other suggestions for changes to the series. We can confirm that we will not be changing anything for the remainder of the year, but these suggestions have been noted along with a couple more ideas and they will be discussed
