It is with great pleasure that the organisers of the CORE Australian V8 Supercar Championship have been able to secure a naming rights sponsor today for both the Bathurst 1000 and the V8 Supercar Endurance Cup.

Both events will now be known as the 'Green Motorsports Bathurst 1000' and the 'Green Motorsports V8 Supercar Endurance Cup', after an agreement was made between series competitor ItsLynxy and organiser ItzRacing. The agreement means that all drivers competing in the Endurance Cup will be competing for up to $400 worth of prizes.

"ItsLynxy came to me with the idea of sponsoring the Bathurst and after some short discussions we agreed to a sponsorship package for the entire Endurance Cup." said ItzRacing. "After that we just had to sort out some finer details of the sponsorship and ensure that it all fit inside the rules and regulations for prizes on GTPlanet before a deal could be confirmed. We welcome the opporunity for ItsLynxy to help give to series and we also look forward to helping promote Green Motorsports as well."

Prizes will take place in the for of PSN Gift Cards. The winning drivers in the High Speed Ring 500, Green Motorsports Bathurst 1000 and the Monaco 600 will all receive $50 Gift Cards, while the drivers on the winning team for the entire Green Motorsports Endurance cup will win a share of $100 of Gift Cards, whether that is split betweeen 2 or 3 drivers.

Entries for all races of the Green Motorsports Endurance Cup are still open, with a number of spaces still available for competitors to fill.

Looking forward to it even more now! Thanks for the offer of prizes, much appreciated. Can see tensions rising if there are any incidents though.

I'm sure if everyone remembers that the races a fairly long and time spent in the pits fixing damage or taking penalties could prove costly later in the race, then we shouldn't have too many problems. I know my role will be to just do clean consistent laps while I'm on track and avoid the pit lane as much as possible, so if I'm on the back of another driver, I'll be more likely to sit back and wait for a clean opportunity to pass instead of forcing the issue.

This is exactly how I try to approach every race, especially the ones where I'm off the pace.

I wish everyone the best of luck and I might even consider sticking my neck in for a one-off attempt at commentary. ;)

Hi guys, it's good to be back. I know i missed a tracks that i love, grand valley speed way is a favorite of mine, but deep forest is good too. It's very tricky in reverse but i put a few practice laps in. Atm i just want to get a clean incident free race away, and be as attentive to the series as possible.

As you may have heard i left because my brother in law had a motorbike accident, his loss of income hurt my sister so i moved in with her and only recently unpacked my games. PS3 became a netflix tool.

I'm keen to get racing again, so i bought a race bike. oh and i got GT6 out again :P

Great to have you back! I was going to ask you how your brother in law was going the other night in the practice room but then you decided to finish for the night :)

We will have to set you up with a another driver so you can race the endurance races :)

Thanks mate, he is doing as good as can be expected, high spirits considering he won't walk again.

Co-driver in the endurance races huh, does that mean we both use the same car? Or we take turns in knocking laps out in our own cars?

Sorry i have to back out of todays race, something came up that i need to deal with.

Good luck to all racers..

That's not too bad then, sucks to hear though.

You can race with your own setups in different locations, but both drivers will have to organise to run the same car, number and paint scheme.

Good luck to all racers.

That sucks to hear, all the best with what you have to deal with, hope all is well.

I've got a practice room up for the next hour and a bit for everyone to join, then I'll setup a race room around 6:30-7pm Adelaide Time.

I was overtaken by one of these on the way home from the football, I hope it's the last it happens today! :P

Was going into Round 9 with high hopes of taking out 1st place over all. But it all went down hill from the very first corner of race 1 where ITZ had the jump off the line. With ITZ having a car length lead decided to back off around the first corner, causing me to suddenly run wide around him and into the wall causing the biggest crash i have seen so far in V8's. Im so sorry to those that had car damage because of me. Could this have been avoided ? Who knows!

Yes, theres another car in that smoke to!
Deep Forest Raceway_11.jpg

Second race was just completely Lagged out which caused Damage to Evil and myself (Sorry Evil). Racing a stuffed car pretty much the whole race. Thanks to Lagg, Evil, Daggs and my self (others) didn't get a fair go (Race).
Sample of Lagg coming through the tunnel!
Deep Forest Raceway_5.jpg

For the 3rd race, i started 2nd on the grid. Thinking this is my chance to take a win and show the hard work and effort our team has put into this track. But after tapping ITZ and pulling out the win. Im not so sure i'll get off lightly.

This part of the track has a up hill which feels like a bump heading into the tunnel. If you brake on this bump, it will put you into the wall, or make your car out of control, most likely putting ITZ and myself out of the race.
Deep Forest Raceway.jpg
The best i could do was to brake after the bump and keep the brakes on with the wheel locked hard to the left. Im not sure if ITZ had a moment of his own, as i wasn't going full pace through that section, because if you go hard you slide well over to the right, on which i didn't. I tucked tightly into the inside. I felt ITZ was going a little under his usual speed/pace on which could have caused it. As ITZ couldn't see me and cut in, thats when small contact was made. No Damage to the cars. Again ITZ, im sorry we made contact mate, but i did everything i could to avoid you. I really don't want a penalty. Some times its really hard to judge a car going slower than usual. And that section of the track is BAD for it. I had the brakes locked hard through the entire tunnel and still manged to bump you.

Moment of contact.

Which does lead to ITZ losing a place.

Other than that, no hard feelings to ITZ, we all have our moments in racing. We move on.
Thanks for the turn out tonight, lots of drivers having fun, some not!
But great Racing by all drivers and my Team mate DZITEZ for a podium finish for his first drive in V8's, and good over all win by ITZRacing.

Cheers.

It's great to be back. Well done to killing heidi who ran super laps all day.

As for me i am happy with my results over all. My plan was to run easy and not hit the walls and for the most part i did that snagging 3rd place, and my first podium of the series, in race 2.

Massive apology to Evil when on the next to last lap of race 3 i slid into his path when trying to avoid the barrier, I was trying to give him room and as a result he lost second place.

Good to have you back and you did very well, keeping it clean and scoring so good results! Pity about the final race though! :/

Haha, there was some action and not much drama. But Dude, go easy on the amount of posts you make! :P

@Killing Heidi i'll respond to your post later. No hard feelings at all, but I think it's worth giving some friendly advice to help you out. Unfortunately my left front got damaged in that and I struggled to keep pace as a result... :(

I would like to say I had a great round last night apart from a few things. Coming from last to 3rd in the 1st & 3rd race was great.

The things that went wrong and didn't help me were, getting booted from Qualifying and starting last, starting the second race from 3rd and watching the first 2 jump all over the track coming into the first tunnel and getting taken out and couldn't continue. The lag was that bad lol.

Overall for my first V8 race i done pretty well. Thanks guys.

Ya done well Daggs, good job ;)

I started Qualifying from around the first corner on the grass facing the inside wall.
I also got a flash of a message saying exit the race. So i did. After i did exit, i got to see the full message. It said exit the race after Qualifying. ITZ and EVil were lagging flat out like jack rabbits race 2-3. Apart from the odd car sitting under the bridge each lap. There really was no fun in this at all tbh. Should of been re-run. :grumpy:

Side Note.
Next Track: High Speed Ring What please?
Forward, Reverse, Forward/Weather?
Thanks.
