Week 4 brings us the end of Tier I and the first T.S.R. If anything it proves how much of a handfull a 720bhp Ford GT is, even around a dedicated track!!

Back to production racing next week with all new specs. 👍

loved the TSR race:tup:,it made us tread a little easier on the loud pedal:nervous: .
now that is not a bad thing as it all goes into teaching us patience an throttle control.:sly:

hope the next TSR is at another world race track.

i'll be able to race next week. one question, hw many cars produced makes it a production car???

The way I see it, a racing series that is "production-based", the vehicles entered in the series are based on production vehicles for sale to the public.

So if a car had only 10 units, it wouldn't really qualify, nor would a car pre-tuned for the race track, unless it was built under homologation rules when the company created it, ie the M3 GTR

[EDIT] ...55 miles to Edinburgh :)

Look what I saw in Edinburgh on Saturday 👍

What a sexy bitch...... Look at the paint - it still looks wet! Unfortunate that you cut off the heads of the pedestrians - all of which are a pure cert to be looking straight at her ;)

Actually apart from the Japanese tourists taking photographs, the people on the path appeared oblivious to the car!!!

(If anyone knows Edinburgh, it was parked in the street that runs between RBS on one corner and the Deacon Brodie Tavern on the other corner)

Will we see anyone from your place?

Yes, you should do. Final assembly is where the front and rear body panels(clam shells), dash, interior and seat fit, wheels and underbody are done. At the time of filming I was working on the Tesla on the opposite side of the factory, but since Tesla finished I am now on Evora/Elise.

Bookmarked the prog on Sky+ for the Friday (1am  ) so it doesn't clash with the wife's endless series links!!!!

Well worth a look mate, watched it tonight. Great shots of the test track as well as the cars being made, as well as the new Lotus's that will be with us soon.

Looking forward to it! I'll get it watched on Saturday some time :) SEASON 3 UPDATE...

Just wanting to throw something out here in the group, behind the scenes, S3 has been evolving in my quest to keep it unique (and to avoid copying other tournaments) but obviously you get inspired...

To try and add more of a structure, so everyone knows what expect from each season, I'm looking at moving away from allowing a 'choice' of cars from just having bhp/kg or PP limitations to using a few pre selected cars/tuning restrictions.

One thing that seems to work with any online series is a fixed structure. So with this in mind, how would you all feel if each season used either 3 or 4 cars for the whole season? (all will become clear when you see the finalised layout)

So 3 or 4 cars gents??? ...oh as a heads-up, the Time Trials have been canned, it's not really suited to 'online' play from my research into running TT sessions, plus verification looks like a nightmare!

Cheers guys! 👍

sounds good to me mate 👍
1 car per tier ?

IMO if everyone is in the same car it makes for closer racing (eg sunday cup)

but i have been in some series that allowed hp/kg limits on the same kind of cars (eg GT300,GT500,GTP,GT1)

but what about ballast to make it even closer say 30kg for 1st 20kg for 2nd 10 kg for 3rd 5 kg for fastest lap.yhis works well with more races though.

would like to hear what others think aswell..

Not the Tiers, but having a fixed car/car class per race event, i.e. Championship, Club Races, T.S.R and possibly a Stock (I'm going to go either 3 and we'll use the Club Race car in the T.S.R. or 4 and keep the CR & T.S.R. Separate)

The 'extra' car will be the stock one. One thing I don't want to do is use too many cars and not race them 'enough' but then loose my overall theme of the series by feeling I'm limiting the car useage by fixing the seasons car requirements.

That's not to say I'm not enjoying the SC, it's this reason Season 3 is evolving prior to it starting! 👍 I want enough content without copying, while retaining it's own identity....sorry I'm rambling now

Basically in the interest to attract new racers, it needs to feel like a race tourney, rather than a track day race :)

Great racing tonight mate, really enjoyed it. It was so good it killed my PS3, Now updating my sons PS3 with gt5 updates. 15 in total. could be here all night.

Well what a race tonight threw up!!! 👍 It had everything! Fast clean racing, drama, accidents, smoke (lots of it eh RBL!) unwanted pitstops, mid-race battles (...ade ;) ) you name it, we had it

Credit goes out to our 'Tyre Immortals' who even when you throw a 40 lapper at them they STILL only pit once! So top marks to them 👍 The 'normal' pitstops also added a dimension to the race for us in the midfield, a special mentions must go out to trotterlover79 for using that to his advantage and holding onto 4th.

Good to see cobrius join us tonight  always a pleasure to have you join in!

As for the endgame of the race, I must say I was suprised to find myself finishing in 5th! I guess I wasn't the only one to get caught up in that 'cloud' that seemed to be floating around the track :sly:

Good race guys!

GT5 updates done and game installed on my sons PS3 now. only took most of the night.

One of these days I'll find a car that's "smokeless" and fast, also not a Holden or anything that looks like a Holden.... wonder if the red bull car can make the restrictions :P as it was the only car i drove today that didn't smoke :D

also i have next week off but not sure if i will have the internet to race next week i can only hope.

You had a good race, hope you will have the time to race in the series every Friday! :D

I think that trotter will become a regular now, and he will also be taking part in this weeks SC:tup:

Hey guys...

As we are into TII I'm thinking that rather than running TIII (when the time comes) I may cut the season short to roll out the S3 update sooner rather than later.

The reason being is as far as I have TIII sorted, I think having to wait another 7 weeks until S3 starts is stretching my 'excitement' too much :banghead:

I'm keen to get into it sooner rather than later, plus it gives me 3 weeks to drum up support for the new layout with new entrants 👍

But before I do, I'd want to know what you all think...shall we stick to this season or drop TIII in favour of S3? :)
