Well even though it didn't do much good I still had a pretty strong run. I found some speed in the car just before the race started and probably could have done a little bit more if there was time to test, but at least I can leave nurburg feeling proud.

To any media personnel: If you want to shove a microphone in my face I promise I won't run away.

Also, I would like to thank all of the GTE drivers and @ZovoVanBasten for their consideration while being overtaken. I'll be sure to treat you all with the same respect when the roles are reversed. 👍

Thanks to CORE for a great weekend of sportscar racing, now it's on to Madrid!

Felt so sorry for RS, 2 corners to go! Was tempted to stop and push him across the line, as I wasn't racing for overall victory and he had led pretty much start to finish, but thought better of it.. didn't wanna get in trouble with the boss!

Good and bad race for me, amazing 1st lap -- 12th to 4th!! Then outbraked myself into the chicane on lap 3, picked up damage and forced to pit after having to sit there and pretty much let the entire field past. I then had to extend my stints from 25, to 30 minutes to try and stay in contention as I knew a 5 stopper would have been curtains, so drove at about 90% for the next hour and a half, leaving one final push at the end on low fuel to at least try and grab fastest lap point, try and salvage something from the weekend.

I had one little scare about 35 minutes in, my ps3 + pc share a screen, and when my pc fires up, my screen goes black for a few seconds and then goes back to ps3 input... well my missus started up her laptop, which then connected to my home network, and brought my pc out of sleep mode... I quickly hit start, and unfortunately, Zovo hit the back of me as I was coasting, sorry about that mate! I don't think it gave you damage luckily, but still, my apologies.

I knew I was about 25 seconds down, with 1 pitstop still to make, whereas RS was going to the end, so that would put me about 50 seconds behind with 20 minutes to go. But I also knew I could go absolutely hell for leather for those 20 minutes, whereas RS would be coaxing the car home on worn tyres, I said in my head, I can gain 3 seconds a lap, 12 laps left, that's 35 seconds, so a decent size mistake from RS and I could still win.

A couple laps to go, I spotted RS coming out of the hairpin as I was entering, so I knew I was close, I then saw the gap come down considerably by the time I reached the chicane, and as I came around the final corner to start the last lap, there he was. I could see he was struggling for grip, so I bided my time, he put up a good defence, but I managed to get a decent run down the back straight, just pulled out in time before he ran out of fuel, and that was that really.

Really enjoyed the race, just a shame the win means nothing!

Also, what the hell happened to all the LMP field (except Glen) on the opening lap??
Nice summary mate, congrats on the win :) i was a bit gutted to run out of fuel, i thought i could end the race by going super slow through the last lap but all of a sudden i saw you coming down the straight in my rear mirror, so i tried everything to keep my position but there wasnt enough fuel left.. the good thing about it is that your win wont affect the team standings so there is still a little chance of getting that win there :)

Let's just hope Matt gets it to YouTube as quickly as he can. :) I for one would love to see how crazy the race was from a third-person POV.

Pardon the bad artwork, but within the red circle is where it all happened.

I'm amazed i got no damage, i thought maybe it was turn 6 when Zovo spun in front of me and i swerved to avoid him....God damn lag!
The laggy one rarely get damage since it doesn't actually come in contact with other cars. Only danger is If someone loses control and actually crash in to you :P

Which would have been brilliant, because the GTE field would have ended up ahead! :D

I need to test some more this weekend. Need to solve the instability in the slow corners, which will be crucial at Madrid. Should be a simple ride height change though.
