Because of the Stingray, Chevrolet are now 7-time champions.

Consider changing your profile to be less fan boy and people might start to take what you say seriously.

Actually even then they won't. You're declaring a car champion winning (of what?) before it's gotten a chance to be tested and owned. What other cars are supposedly winners isn't even worth arguing.

We get it dude, you like Corvettes.

You guys are talking to a brick wall at this point. Just pay no attention to the noise he makes.

Well, that didn't take long..

Looks nice in blue. But it looks very sad when crashed. It's too bad it happened, but someone was going to do it sometime.

Likely not the first, just the first photographed. It was almost certainly a GM test driver though and I'm guessing it was probably near the Mesa Proving Grounds.

Mesa Proving Grounds?

Edit: To clarify, I'm curious because the old Mesa GM Proving Grounds has been closed for many years and the county is currently building a freeway right through the middle of it. Their new proving grounds are in Yuma I think?

I just laugh since it's not a rare car and many other C7s are going to be crashed but, it did suprise me that it's happened in a very short space of time since the car got released.

I was at the Chicago Auto Show and saw the C7 in the flesh today. From some angles the car looks good, others it looks really bad. I was far more interested in the LT1.

I also saw the new Viper. SO much better looking.

Doesn't look too bad of a crash, maybe GM can give it to me :sly: I'd be willing to fix it (not much apparently).

Depending on the way the car got that way the frame might be bent and suspension might be shot.

I saw it in Toronto on Friday, you pretty much summed it up.. I'm a life long Corvette fan and it does nothing for me..

Info on the C7's ZO6 and ZR1
Word is, the next Z06 will keep its monster naturally aspirated 7.0-liter engine, but with even more power. In fact, we hear it could jump from today’s 505 hp to as high as 600. The decision won’t be made, though, until they get the final number for the next ZR1’s supercharged V-8. That engine, we’re told, will be an evolution of the new LT1 V-8 in the base C7. We can only hope it will revive the LT5 moniker of the original ZR-1’s engine.

The Z06/ZR1 output logic basically works like this: If the ZR1 makes 675 hp or so, the Z06 will get 550. If the ZR1 cracks 700 hp, the Z06 will crack 600. Anyone who knows GM knows how this works: The top-dog Corvette will always be protected, even from its own variants.

As badass as that is, it makes me wonder where our horsepower numbers will be in another 15-20 years.
Considering aftermarket tuners are making perfectly driveable 1500 hp cars...who the hell knows.

It's insane because an aftermarket company building kits capable of 3-400Hp in a car was considered fast back in the 90's. Now, you're not even "quick" with 6-700Hp in a modified car if you stop by TX2K or a shoot out invitational.

I want to laugh because I would have loved to be a deer in the area and see that unfold, cause that person has to be a nobel prize winner to do that. However, I want to cry because I would have taken better care of it.

Yeah R1600 that is where I lived for the past 8 years, till recently since I moved back to the PHX area. I got to see alot of test cars in swirl black white paint, before I moved I actually saw two C7 stingrays in action. But yes they are at the Yuma Proving Grounds (YPG) now.

That looks like something Nissan would have replaced the 300ZX with.

+1

I barely see any Corvette in that. Not to say there isn't any. Because that would be a lie. But it's very hard. Really had to look at that one.
