Not good, way too much Camaro on the rear, and 350Z/Viper on the front :yuck:

The Corvette should stand out without being a cross of these other cars.

That is the ugliest rendition of C7. My gawd, slap the dude that came up with that. Viper front, C6 hood, GTR roofline, Camaro tail lights... AAAAAaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!

When put next to the 2013 SRT Viper GTS.. It looks comically alike..

Corvette is a little pointier, but the Viper is far better looking.

Looks like a GT-R roof. (as stated above)
Mixed with a viper. (as stated above)
Mixed with a small amount of 458.

I guess we should see what it really looks like before judging it though.

It's as if GM paid these "graphic designers" to do these hideous things and generate very very bad hype about the C7, so when it's finally released and it's completely diferent to that, we all will go "phew!" and cheer for Chevolet.

I wish.

This is just a concept with no real plans and made by randoms so I wouldn't worry too much about the real thing looking identical. All concepts are way to straight line with hard edges etc. If they made it flow a swoop a little better I think it could look nice. I really hope they don't do the Camero rear lights tho.

One can only hope.

To me it looks like a Viper(frontend & headlight styling), GTR(front side fender, behind the front wheel well thingy) & Camaro(taillight styling)blend. Combining those 3 could've turned out much worse, but it still doesn't look right to me.

Is it just me or does this and the Viper seem a bit European now. Last ones where very American but these..... Not so much. And word on RHD this gen (with manual or paddle shift?)

This should have been posted in the Corvette C7 thread.

It just looks like the old renderings posted on Jalopnik earlier this year but made it just look more odd and more ugly.

But surely you mean "CAD modelers/animators" instead of "gd's".

I think Chevy's got a tough job on their hands, if they're trying to live up to the good looks of the C6.

The things i don't like about the C7 (if the renders/models are anything to go by), is that rear flank and rear wheel-arch... the wheel-arch so needs a bit of blister or pronounced lip (like the C6 has), i feel the area behind the rear wheel needs a bit of a taper as well, strictly speaking, it's not a flat area but still manages to look slab-sided like a GTR at the rear... i think people will maybe get used to the rear quarter windows though, they kind of have that upwards kick to them like the old 70's Vette (forget which exact yr), where the door used to meet the rear buttresses (maybe it's just me that's seeing it *shrugs*), and i agree with pretty much everyone else with regards the rear lights.

If it comes out like those renders/models it's going to be pretty awful imo.

Making a car as well rounded as the Z06 won't be easy (besides giving it a better interior - because a 6 year old could do that). Making a car as competitive with its rivals as the C6 for a good price won't be easy.

They could try a retro look, though I'm not certain how long this modern muscle car era is going to last. Ford is done with the retro 'Stang in 2014 and I believe Dodge and Chevrolet will probably follow suit.

It's one of the ugliest cars i've ever seen I really do hope it doesn't look like this when released.

The rendered car has poorly made proportions, these drawings from Jalopnik depict the very same design, albeit from the fact that they are done in a more harmonious way.

Honestly? I believe it will take cues from the Camaro which is, love or loathe it, a design success and the front end surely will probably be faithful to the C6 lines although in a more mature and sleeker design, much like the renders are showing. Liking it so far.

GM is keen on modernizing their product portfolio but I'm pretty sure they won't kill the personality of their most marketing-appealing product.

I'd love a retro throwback to the C1, any year.

They're also doing a model called the z08, the prototype shop my dad works for is doing the front fenders for the first 6 prototype models
