As an aside, I hate this phrase with a burning passion.
Even ignoring the fact that anyone who uses it sounds like Popeye, a colleague used to use it a lot, and it broadly translated to "I know it's broken, and I could do something about it, but I can't be bothered and I don't care, so deal with it". In most other contexts it's meaningless word soup - put an actual object in there, and it becomes "a cat is a cat". Well thanks, Socrates, for that genius insight...
Prof Susan Michie of UCL confirmed on BBC News tonight that Test, Isolate, Trace is not going to be enough without the crucial fourth aspect, Support. I fully agree... TIT is not enough, it's TITS or bust IMHO.
I hope you have a full recovery.Milouse 1-0 Covid-19

Covid-19 can kill you not only by your lungs. I learnt it the hard way. Hypokalemia (lack of potassium in blood) brought me for a day in the emergency "shok room" under severe arythmia, following by 5 days in cardiologic intensive care. I've been tested Covid+ the first day. Covid-19 can lead to a state of Hypokalemia, it seems. Note that it's not the only way to have Hypokalemia, but the link can't be ignored.
I'm 47.
I recovered and should leave hospital today, knowing my heart is ok and my coronaries are fine, but with still the threat to end on ICU later (I have no idea where I am on the infection timeline, as my other symptoms are mild and not very specific to Covid-19, only knowing that my very-very likely infector tested negative monday)
Please hold for the 2nd half and do not let this go into penalty kicks. Wishing you a full recovery.Milouse 1-0 Covid-19

This is true, but we don't want it to cause that much stress or (gulp) go to tiebreakers.I mean, if @Milouse could penalty kick COVID in the nadgers I think that would be acceptable.
Emphasis on "endured". It felt like I was stuck in a cage for a while there. Thank god we're through with it.After being in lockdown for months now, our Victorian neighbours have just had their sixth consecutive day of no new Covid-19 cases, and while most of our state borders are open to each other it is now looking like Victoria will soon be able to be included too.
Well done to all those Victorians that have endured through the lockdown for the greater good of Australia.

Also it appears that so far lockdowns haven't, in this case, caused an increase in suicides, which is great news too.

The government has been criticised by the official statistics watchdog for the way it presented data to justify England's second lockdown.
The UK Statistics Authority highlighted the use of modelling at Saturday's TV briefing showing the possible death toll from Covid this winter.
The projection was made weeks ago and had forecast there would be 1,000 deaths a day by the end of October when the average was actually four times less than that - a fact that was known at the time of Saturday's TV briefing.
What is more, the model had already been updated to predict a lower estimate, but this was not used in the briefing fronted by chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance and chief medical officer Prof Chris Whitty, alongside Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Bright side? Each week you'll know your brain is still positive or something. My wife has requested that I be the canary in the coal mine and get tested every week. Sorry, sinus cavity.
Between the kids in school, her in the hospital and the numbers in the state and on campus rising, I might as well get tested. They have it every Thursday on campus so stopping in is a breeze. First time it took 45 minutes, today I was in and out in 5.Bright side? Each week you'll know your brain is still positive or something.
Does she worry that much you are at risk?
This is fun...
Vehicle crashes into COVID-19 testing site at the U of U
As of right now, it sounds like it was a medical event that caused the drive to speed into the testing site, but Salt Lake PD is treating it like a criminal investigation. Four nurses were injured severely enough to be transported to the hospital, but a total of nine people were hurt including the driver. The site is also offline for the foreseeable future and accounts for about 400-500 tests per day.
I really hope this wasn't intentional because if it was, it should be absolutely treated as a domestic terrorist attack.

Soft necro to say I love this, and I need a love button for this.I have a glass, I had it made because 'Mike' used the expression...

... Mike used the expression to sign off in the final e-mail I/we received from him once his prognosis was death. I always felt that to be so accepting of your own demise, that to simply say, "it is what it is" was pretty brave. "I'm going to die" would have made it sound more like Mr. Orange. Hence, one of the ways I remember dear old Mike is to use the expression to signify my acceptance of that which I cannot change.
.. anyhow, sorry for the off-topic.

Amazing how Bannon calls himself a patriot yet cannot figure out how the revolution occurred. What the actual 🤬.
What stuck out to me was “That’s how you won the revolution,” Bannon replied. “No one wants to talk about it. The revolution wasn’t some sort of garden party, right? It was a civil war. It was a civil war.”
These tools are advocating for a civil war. Probably in part because they've never been within three Kevin Bacon degrees of an actual war, and probably because they know damn well that they can pay for other people to die to protect them and they'll probably come out of it richer.
