The big fat man in the red suit is going to bring me one of them (The TH8A with the black gear knob) too @SpaceBreed :D Nice one!!!

This is my setup too, T500 + TH8.

I've had it since early days of GT6 (however far back that is) but due to the way that game handled the shifter input, I struggled for a long time to be consistent and competitive.

It's much better with AC & PCARs, also I've trained myself to shift correctly... No more banging into the gate dividers, or accidentally shifting into 1st... Well almost

Enjoy, happy birthday @SpaceBreed. Today/Yesterday?

I want that aluminium profile, how steady is it in that configuration?
What sort of a seat do you use?
Did you change your Rim?
Very nice kit you have there.

Thanks, It's pretty sturdy, I've refined the design many times over the years. But this arrangement works best, as I have to hide it away in a cupboard too.

All that holds the base and wheel frame together are 2 m8 bolts.

As for the chair.... You see that big comfy one in the background ;)

Again, I have to make do with limited space and make use of what I can. It's actually very comfortable. Given the room I would have had a proper seat. However I've also consider looking at a go-kart seat!

Like with the rig, the wheels have come and gone over the years. I started with the F1 rim, but some of the buttons started failing, I then got the Ferrari GTE wheel, then a real wheel and butchered my F1 rim.. , and now I have this one.
I have some plans in the pipeline for another wheel design, thanks to a friend who is just making his own 3D printer

This is for the T500 RS which is the wheel i have, works perfectly.
I just need to get a proper PS4 USB Hub, running out of USB ports :D

The TH8RS looks nicer with the red collar. Yeah, two ports on the PS4 is crappy!

Great wheel the Alcantara isn't it, hobbsy. Do you use gloves with it?

Yes it is, but I've not gone that far yet!

What would I gain...? :odd:

Ah yes Mr.Orayani, I know about the wheel getting grimey, that is why I keep it cleaned and brush it regularly!

But what do I gain from wearing gloves, and seperating my skin from the comfortable soft, suede touch of the wheel. If I was to wear gloves what we be the point in having and Alcantara wheel??? ;)

I may as wheel have alcantara lined gloves... But then would I need to have a pair of surgical gloves to keep my gloves clean... ! :boggled:

I guess it is the lazy mans way of keeping it clean rather than brushing it. :D

It is definitely there but sadly I'm making such stupid hesitant mistakes which is no doubt to do with being unfamiliar with the car.

Great lap mate!! Yeah i´ll give it another go at some point! We have until next Wednesday remember so there´s still time! ;)

@SpaceBreed thanks man, but i've just been beaten!! and to all of you too, Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year!!

That was hard. No lift in 6th for Hawthorns and 6th gear in Sheen Curves.

Yes mate, it's really difficult to get a "perfect lap", keep going!
