CRAP a'Corsa ClubPS4

A slight improvement, will attempt again with shorter gears, thanks @HammyMansell for that tip.

Hey Guys, so first thoughts on A/C, played for an hr last night, granted, most spent in menus etc rather than out on the track, first impressions(bear in mind i haven't changed any car setups or FFB settings), gees it seems a lot harder coming from GT6(not as hardcore I know), but is it just me or is the AI in career mode like ridiculously hard?? I am not complaining and I know its going to be a whole new learning curve, which I will enjoy and embrace, any g29 FFB settings would be appreciated as well as where to go for good tunes/setups, Coming from GT6 straight away the car sounds suck you more into the experience, scenery is a bit rubbish but the cars look gorgeous, as Im so focused on the road ahead I don't mind this, I will sacrifice overall graphics for better game play any day. and to the slower guys, I am sorry I lied when I said I will give more competition at the back, going to take a while to catch up to you guys never mind the middle and front of the pack, but as I said FFB for G29 and direction for car setups would be greatly appreciated as well as any other tips for a newb to the game, thanks in advance.

Also guys, I couldn't get my clutch to work properly with my h-Shifter, again any settings I should use would be great thanks, P.s there is no chance I am even attempting the latest TT lol, tried the P1 round the ring last night, oooft, felt great but I wasn't up to a decent standard, brakes felt strangely weak, could be partly down to the G29 requiring 500 pounds of damn pressure to fully activate the brakes.

Once you get to know the game, the physics the handling of each car and know every bump and camber in their tracks the AI becomes a lot easier.

Since you're at this stage I wouldn't touch any tuning options until you're familiar with the cars handling on these laser scanned tracks. As they'll become void once you become better.

By all means adjust the gear ratio if you hit the rev limiter on some cars or lower top gear on some cars as they can be set too long. Tyre pressures have a big impact you can play with as well. Just don't mess with the suspension, dampers, toe and camber until you get to know it.

I struggled with the clutch too. Before loading the track look at your settings and switch off auto clutch 👍 and when starting the game make sure your H shifter is in 1St gear and not neutral

@alainsenna also check the game menu settings, as there is an option for turning on/off the H-shifter. "From memory" Having it on will restrict you to using the H-shifter for all cars that have manual gears,it will then default back to paddle shifters for cars that use sequential or paddle shifts. (which you may have already encountered as the reason the H-shifter is not working!) secondly, and as i'm not a G29 user i do not know if this has any effect, but there is a dedicated G29 wheel setup in the controller "Wheel - Options" menu. I think its the third option.

Enjoy. Laters

P.S anyone on tonight? I'll be on around 9pm GMT. If you fancy some racing, drop me a msg.

Here's my first good lap boys. Very difficult car to keep in shape, really doesn't like being accelerated in slow corners! But satisfying once you can deal with it. Changed a few things. Soft tyres of course, shortened the gear ratios so I topped out at the end of the straight, increased rear tyre pressure slightly.

Use quarter throttle mid turn and gradually build it towards the corner exit or else you'll spin, really hard to get the hang of. Also watch your tyre temps as they tend to sweat like a group of nuns at a cucumber farm

I finally had a chance to have a go at this combo. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the track on the PS4

I have the car, just not the right track...

You guys are on your own @Moloko and @HammyMansell those 1:44. are just not within my reach, great though to see such talent and i am glad to be associated with greats like you, well done.

Thanks man, but i'm not even an alien, just a Hamster!!

Welcome @pretend racer as nosoks said, it's the Barcelona Moto layout, on the first page or 2 on the track select screen, good luck! :)

Thanks Kunkk, I did have H shifter switched on and the car i was using was the abarth 500, Im sure I had auto clutch off as it seems a self explanatory option, i had no problem when i switched h shifter off and ran the Mclaren P1, looking forward to getting into this tonight.

I'm not usually a fan of race cars because I prefer older cars without traction control that are slippy and slow. This Porsche is slippy and frustratingly fun. It's just quite a bit quicker than the cars I'm used to.
I have never run on this track before either so it took quite a few restarts to learn the gearing and braking points for the corners.

I have only used the stock setup so far, PS4, t500.

My first two successful laps were in the 1:49 bracket.
But it took me about 25 restarts to get around 6 successfully completed laps. Mostly because I had to learn where the cars tires were on the track in relation to the curbs. CURBS + GAS = DEATH
Normally I like to run over curbs when they're flat but with this car it just spins you.

In the end I got my time down to

For my next session I'll use the tuning tips posted here - soft tires, shorter gearing, up the tire pressures, and we'll see how that goes.

Great car on a really fun fun track. I don't think I'll get another go at this, but managed to better my time.

Great job upfront there fellas. No way I can knock another second of my time. You guys are freaks.

The Hamster likes, he likes!!!Lol :D

Tyre pressures 23 all round for me, ride height 7 front 8 rear, and that's about it. Keep it as smooth as possible too, especially on the gas with short-shifting, it makes a big difference. :)

I tried to include my screenshot of my time when I posted to the ac leaderboards but it wouldn't let me because it's the pic on my phone is "over 2mb"
Is there a way to be able post pics from my phone?

There should be a setting when your camarro on your phone is up that can adjust the resolution/megapixels. Lower it and you should be good. I had the same probkem at first.
