Hey guys, just wondering who, if any, use a shifter (not paddles) to change gear when the car allows it?
I would do normally, as I feel loved like there is a better response using the clutch manually for up shifts... down shifts can be a different story sometimes
Cheers
I use my shifter (G27) with my G29 and the clutch where the cars allow it. I have autoclutch and auto blip OFF and have never had the bugginess some have experienced with cars not engaging or shifting as they should. All for the sake of realism and immersion, I don't care if I'm the slowest
Never got back to try again, after a busy long weekend, Tuesday I had to go to Jakarta (its very own kind of he!!) so Tuesday ended up being a 25 hour day
There's nothing like having it in your hands while racing, the shifter i'm talking about of course!
Hey @HammyMansell are you getting through "Curva Grande" flat out?
Also just noticed the track above shows anti-clockwise direction!
I'm still trying to find a happy line through the esse, and the approach to semaforo! Feeling like I could get to a 20.5ish time depends on how much taking the Curva Grande flat out will gain I guess!
I think the 19 is there for the aliens amongst us...
I can do 1:16.9... ))))I have a "confidence lift" before Curva Grande, and then accelerate through it, my ambition is to not lift lol!!
I reckon i can get another 5 tenths like you hobbsy, but it will be tough.......Gt adam will get a 1:17 i think!

Ahhhhh the old physiological "Flat out (lift) Flat out!!!"
Yeah I'm about there then too, I'm trying a few things next time i'm on.... not entirely sure from my experiences that I'll be successful keeping it buried though
