Those brakes are tricky. they've changed on this car since the update.

Hey Guys, I'm also back from hols. Bit of a late finish tonight so hopefully find time tomorrow night to get some laps in.

Just a comment on the track surface randomness, I found recently that as you spend time running laps, the time of day changes (as per the settings) and this is not reset by "restarting" within the game mode.
I would guess the same thing is happening with the track surface, as it is supposed to "rubber in" the more it is driven on, and the rate at which this happens is set by the surface type.

I came across a post somewhere where one of the PC guys shared these details about each surface condition, I'm assuming of course that the console is set the same way as the PC. But I guess it would make sense.

From this I would suggest we always run with optimum, as this should be the fastest track condition from the start, and never changes

Just a thought.

thx for info @hobbsy .... lately i have NOT been hitting restart, but just pitting, then you start a warmup lap with any damage fixed, fresh warm tyres and hopefully a rubbered track?

Great time Moloko, yes the last double chicane is a killer, really tricky to get it right......A Hamster's pube between perfect and losing time lol!

I'll try and have another go later, remember we finish tonight, Saturday.

Track: Optimum

Stock setup and factory settings people, but tyres and fuel can be adjusted. We finish this TT on Wednesday night, good luck!

Great car. Love that big v8 grunt! Tricky chicane near the end of the lap, lots of time to be gained there if done right! Done this with soft tyres and minimum fuel of course!

Very possibly, I cannot make practice & would struggle to get in for the Qualifying, but could just about make it for the race.

Quite a few times I've been 0.3 of a second up on this time for the first half of the lap, but my exit out of Vodafonebocht is so good i beat myself down the straight and loose the ground gained.
When i see that ghost car inching away from me down the straight, I cannot help over trying and loose more again at the Audi S.

I probably set the 1.39 at 11pm last night, then spent the next hour chasing my ghost 🤬

maybe a fresh start tonight will help.

No mx5 for me as I hate this car! It's really stable and grippy that's why I hate it! People get more than 5sec faster than me in this car in any circuit! I just fail miserably at driving it!
