Hey everyone,
So I was trying this week's time trial and I felt like my brakes were really messed up. Like, I was braking at 250m on one lap and stopping too early for turn 1 yet on the next, I was overshooting the corner and going straight into the gravel trap. Understandably, I was extremely confused but tried to push on only for the problem to get worse and worse. Every time I hit the brakes, the car was reacting differently: snap oversteer, front locking, no brakes whatsoever; it was horrible! Once I turned on the HUD (as I usually drive without it), I noticed that even though I was fully depressing the brakes, the red bar (is it called the brake indicator?) was just oscillating randomly making the car undriveable. The most confusing part was that the accelerator was working just fine, only the brakes weren't working properly.
I turned everything on and off, recalibrated the wheel and checked my firmware but nothing seemed to help. I looked online and couldn't find anyone else with the same problem and while I know this isn't really the forum for this sort of issue, I didn't know where else to ask.
FYI, I run a Thrustmaster TX base with a T3PA pedal set and I race on Xbox One. The setup is just over two years old and according to me atleast, this shouldn't be just some standard wear and tear issue. Also, the warranty expired last year.
I really love sim racing and spending some time in the rig just makes my week a lot better. Since lockdown started, it's been one of the few things that has been keeping me going. So, any help, advice ideas, anything honestly would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Aksy
