CRAP DiRT Rally Club [PS4] Racenet League Events live

Can I join this league? You guys are in Ps4, right?
Do I need to be invited? Never joined a league before.
PSN: Pat_RoyUsedRoids
You are more than welcome to join in. If you follow the link that GOTMAXPOWER posted it will take you to our league page and it is open to anyone. We look forward to seeing your stage times although we are currently almost finished a season a new one will follow straight after.

So how's that going to work exactly?
Kind of wish we'd just get a dirt Rally 2, or even expansion pack.
Random stages, and a northern Michigan (snowdrift?) Stage have me interested though.

We'll be able to choose between the two, they both have been updated to be better as well

"situation report" from Finland.

After 8 long stages my Co driver quit after I gave him concussion, a broken arm and a serious flu after losing his door... After the stage you can see below I pretty much gave up trying to win. As you can see I tried to run over two cameramen and got stuck on a pile of rocks and had to call the recovery truck. Not sure how much penalty I got but it was too much :( I am now looking forward to next season with hopefully another car class and a good navigator!! My Audi is probably never getting back on road after wrecking it that bad!

As we are approaching the end of the current season I need to arrange the next one. I intend to run the 80's class of car and may include Gp B rwd as they are very similar in spec. This would mean an all rear wheel drive season. I know some people struggle with these cars as I have but I hope most of you will rise to the challenge.

How does everyone feel about this choice?

I'll drive any class when I have the opportunity to do the events. Would be fun with 80s but I prefer 4wd. Is it possible to do a one make, no tuning season and get everyone in the same car?

Sounds good.

But hopefully we will return to modern cars like the R4 or Group A car`s after that? To be smart we could include the R4 class for the last Dirt Rally league, before Dirt 4 comes out and there we can continue with R5 cars? :)

I had always wondered about doing a one make series, it would have to be a car we are all happy with.

I like that idea, doing R4 for our last Dirt Rally event and then running R5 in Dirt 4.

Welp that was a disaster - broke the radiator immediately on stage 1, lost 2 minutes on stage 2 with a puncture (2 minutes instead of 1.5 because I was dumb enough to think I could be quicker by NOT changing the tyre.... :dunce: :dopey:), and a smattering of minor incidents elsewhere. Semi-recovered back to 8th at least. @GOTMAXPOWER will be several moons clear in the championship now, and I think me and @lskill909 will be roughly neck-and-neck for 2nd. 👍

Sounds like Peugeot problems, the radiator was popping after landing all of the jumps whether it landed on the nose or not, even breaking before the top of the crest wouldn't help. I had a puncture too - about 1 checkpoint before the end on the powerstage - but managed to get to the end at 40mph without changing it. The championship isn't over yet, its a nice lead but a lot can still go wrong.

Struggle? Me? Never

The results are in and it looks like the season is totally sewn up by @GOTMAXPOWER with his commanding lead. All he has to do is finish in wales!
The 4WD Class is still wide open with anyone in the top 7 being able to win. As for the 2WD Class, it's still between me and @Manuelos although I'm at a disadvantage.

I am busy setting up the next season at the moment.

We will be using the 70's, 80's and GpB RWD cars for the next season.

The events will be short, just 5 stages each. Four short and one long stage with servicing before every stage. The power stage will always be in daylight.

I'm going to try a little change to the points system. Maximum points will be determined by the number of competitors that START the event, which I hope will give some bigger scores for the bottom of the standings table. i.e. If 30 people start and 20 finish then 1st place gets 30 points, 2nd will get 29 points etc down to the last place getting 10 points. I hope this works!

I 'think' I need 16th place to be sure of the title but its Wales, just getting through safely is challenging enough!

I like the sound of those points changes, some rallies just surviving to the finish is challenging enough (Monaco this season), those who made it to the end at the bottom order deserve more of an advantage on those who didn't make it.

btw I'm glad to here the multi-class format is back for next season, it's added an interesting extra dimension to this season. The Stratos sounds tempting!

After the rwd season, I intend to run a one make season. Probably everyone in the 2001 Impreza.
