CRAP DiRT Rally Club [PS4] Racenet League Events live

I use manual w/ clutch on most things, but I can't get the hang of it on dirt rally. It'll be manual sequential for me for a while as well.

I only use sequential in DiRT because I've rigged my shifter to act as a handbrake. I only use the clutch in Project CARS and Assetto Corsa (in the older cars).

I use clutch as handbrake with thump and it can be use "progressive",manual F1 gear.Red button is clutch.PikesPike have to use both.

What do you use as a handbrake?

Dirt Rally allows you to use the dualshock controller as well as your wheel to control the game. I assigned the handbrake to the right hand joystick down direction and used an old handbrake out of a scrap car to come up with a custom handbrake you can see in this video.

BTW as I have the dualshock beside me I play the navigator audio through its speaker and the engine audio through the main speaker system. It feels a little more authentic that way and also makes his calls a little clearer I think.

I'm actually working on a mk2 version as WRC 6 isn't as refined as Dirt and doesn't allow the use of the dualshock in conjunction with the wheel. I'm developing a mechanism that will press the r3 button on the steering wheel base and use that as a handbrake.

I didn't know you could do that. That's really cool!! Thanks, Iain. In regards to the co-driver calls, that's just brilliant!!

Here's flugzeigring or something. My favourite stage :) I don't wanna speak of the rest of the stages... :P what's the penalty for hitting spectators? And there are way too many stones in Germany!! Not sure how many I hit

Hi all!

Probably I will compete the German Rally, but maybe it will be my last rally for this season because my downshift paddle is broken this week so I only can drive with an automatically gearbox, which I definetely not prefere. I want to drive with a manual gearbox.
So I`ve to send my wheel (T 150) back for fixing the problem.

Sorry to hear that, hope you manage to get it fixed soon

I`m happy with my driving on my home soil.

With no practice before the competition and automatically gearbox I`ve had to change my driving and its setup in the shakedown.
Then I started the rally. I`m pleased with the result although I had to change all my driving style (like braking and going on throttle) because for me it`s a big difference between an automatically and manual gearbox.

The video below shows my best drive during this rally. On this stage I was just 1 sec off the fastest time. I had small mistakes but at all this was a good stage.

Oh man! Driving hard and mostly clean and losing to ELmarcotuff by 0,8 s. :boggled: After 6th stage I was 10 s ahead, after 7th it was even so I was really giving it all in the last stage - just not enough.
Yee yeeeeeee

Decided to try the 037 this time instead of the Manta. First 4 stages were going pretty well, just a handfull of seconds in front of ICH-Motorsport in his Manta. Made a spin on SS5 and one BIG moment after the famous jump. Overshot a junction on SS7, went onto the grass and recieved a 10s(?) penalty.

Powerstage:

SS5 Moment :embarrassed:

Well done mate, had a feeling you would beat me on this one.
I did some testing for Greece and it didn't go well so I may struggle with the final 3 rallies.

For anyone interested I have set up a new hillclimb event starting tomorrow morning. The event uses the modern course with the 208 T16.
Have fun.

I thoroughly enjoyed Rally Germany in the Manta but the rest of the season I think is going to be a bit more difficult as I still cant get the hang of the Scandinavian flick with the car. Practice, practice and more practice I guess!

Hope everyone has a good Rally Greece.

I'm currently testing for Greece (for once), and it's weird. The 037 seems tame in Greece. It's like it doesn't want to be on the hard stuff even though it's practically a sports car (yes I know what it was made for). It handled so much better in Sweden than it did in Germany as well. I can't wrap my head around this one.

Finished the Rally Greece.

Puh.. This was a tricky one. Really narrow and bumpy stages.
And from this there were 5 long stages. But it`s good to have more longer stages, because this isn`t already a sprint rally. Now you`ve to be really focussed on all its stages.
I think my run was good. I had 2 mistakes in the beginning of the rally, where I think I lost around 15 seconds at all. From there I drove very safe and I think it was the absolutely right decision. Hope that it will pay off.

Let`s see what the other drivers will reach in Greece.
