CRAP DiRT Rally Club [PS4] Racenet League Events live

All this talk about PSVR gets me hyped and makes me want one.
Then I watch some good youtubers videos and they trash or fault it as a very new technology that still needs a long time to mature.
I'm lost! It's not a cheap item so i dont wanna end up regretting it!

I'm not convinced by the first generation of PS reading. I haven't personally tried it yet but have heard the lower resolution is noticeable. Not convinced how comfortable they will be with glasses on which I need. I will be waiting for the second generation.

All I can say is I felt exactly the same as you until mine arrived a few weeks ago. I thought "wait until the next version or get a big PC and oculus rift as it won't be as good as that". I've tried the rift a few times and the psvr is the better overall package. There are plenty of experiences and games to amuse awaiting the killer app. For me Dirt Rally is it. It's such an improvement I'll probably never play it in non VR now.

I've played for a few hours at a time (with the occasional 30 second break). wear glasses to play and they fit no problem and it is very comfy (better than both PC options). Driveclub is fun too in spite of the less than stellar physics. It hasn't made me sick like some have reported. I'm playing everything on the PS4 Pro. I haven't tried the PS4 with the PSVR yet but could do if you wanted a comparison with the Pro.

Glad I made the decision to get the PSVR especially now Dirt Rally is on it.

Is driveclub vr physics different from the normal driveclub physics?

Holy CRAP 6:09.301 for Sweet Lamb in the Renault 5. @TRGTspecialist you are flying :eek:

Cheers! Looks like choosing the Renault might pay off - in Germany it was a tugboat but now on the loose stuff it comes into play. It's a little pocket rocket that car!

And hopefully that time makes up somewhat for stages 3 and 4 which I may or may not have ballsed up.

Where's the shortcut!?????

SHHHHHHHH!

I almost managed to match your time, almost. I see that time placed you at 8th in the world on the ps4, well done mate.

I must say at this point that I really like this RWD series so far! It's so much different to AWD racing and more fun in my opinion so far!
I have to agree with you, I was dreading the rear wheel drives but actually it's been mega fun! I'm not looking forward to Monaco though :nervous::nervous:

Not a great rally for me, I was pushing as hard as I could to try to catch Panzercorp's Fiat but he drove a great rally and just edged away on each stage, then I fell into a valley near the end of the powerstage and picked up a penalty. The car was really good fun though, I think I may have fallen in love.

Hey guys, I've been thinking new ways to play this absolutely great game and setting up new leagues (or thinking about existing ones).

Teams

- Every player would need to assign in one team for the full season.
- Handicap as best driver in the last season picks team last and the worst picks first. This would force people to drive more with different cars maybe?
- Team points, would not be too hard to pick which team picks up most points, still don't know what are the benefits in this...
- Of course it would need quite a small pool of drivers because if we have 130+ drivers it would take forever picking up teams and so on.

Maybe a stupid idea. I've also been thinking about building a brand new "full rally season" that we would have more stages at the same time that WRC actually is running. Problem is that many people would not have time to complete 12+ stages in one certain weekend.

Anyway this league @Eyeseeh50 is running is absolutely great and most fun and active league I've been so far! Thank you for this!

I had thought about the idea of teams but wasn't sure how many people would commit to doing a whole season. I do like the idea of teams though. What does everyone else think?
