Alright so if there's rooms open by the CRAP accounts I can join yeah?

The casual racing rooom is open 24/7 and guys drop in (via the coffee cup in community section) whenever. I recommend to folks to drop in even if room empty and hang around for maybe half an hour if possible. I find that doing that will almost always get others in the room.

You will be fine mate, we have a thread in group page where members can put in their regular online times do you can always drop in there & also the "CRAP members online now" thread is a win, a lot of guys get an email to their phone whenever that gets posted in so it's a really good way to let guys know you're on. An example post would be "I'm in C1 (Casual room 1) Now running Kubelwagens at Nürbürgring in the rain at night if anyone is keen"

Dammit has it?

We have quite a few inactive members that need to start using the rooms or they're risking removal.

We have begun the process of developing a members list (props to BNGTracer for this) and we now have a list of:

All CRAP GTP group members
All Casual races 1 (CR1) PSN friends
All CR2 PSN friends
All Enduro 1 (E1) PSN friends
All CRAP Free Run (CFR) PSN friends

We have one more to go being E2 and then we start sending out messages to those who joined, and promptly disappeared, confirming that they risk being removed from the group.

I don't want to remove anyone but new members keen to race deserve a chance and those who we never see will be removed to make space.

The list of GTP group members is 120 odd which is clearly more than we can have in any one friends list so, when the cull is complete, a waiting list will be created when the number of members exceeds 100. At that point we will be doing periodic reviews of members and removing inactive members who warrant removal.

Racing seldom with us is fine, as one of our founding principles is to attract folks who can't race much, but not contributing at all is cause for removal.

I will put this in our CRAP Admin thread too.

I did a brief removal of 8 members last month so that is probably what happened.

The idea was to remove a few as the rooms were full and if any of the removed members said anything I was going to put them back on but I heard from no one.

If you are keen I can put you as first on the waiting list then once we do the next lot of removals you can be added to the rooms again?

Hi. I sent a friend request and have been added to the list of members. Can anyone give a newbie a step by step guide to getting into a race? I expected to see something in Community to click onto in order to get onto the track.

I'm obviously doing, or expecting, the wrong thing.

Once your friend request has been accepted by the 5 CRAP accounts, you will see them in your in game friend list right down the bottom. You're almost there with the community tab. Click the account of the room you want to join (casual races, enduro etc). Then move across to the right to the coffee cup icon (lounge) click on that and the lounge list will open. This shows you who else is in the room. Click join. It might take a minute, but eventually the lounge will load. Say hello to whomever is in the room and start racing! If there is no one in the room when you join, pick your own regulations and track. Someone else will generally be along shortly.

I'm on way to work so I'll check tonight. There is a freeze on membership at moment due to number of members but I'll see what I can do... there's a couple of guys I can think of that need prompt removal so I might be able to make room for you tonight.

If I do can you make sure you use the rooms at least a little? The idea is to admit members who will use the rooms so it would be great to see you in there from time to time

Currently I'm a weekend warrior in an alfa series which is due to finish in 2weeks, (final race is SPA 👍 ), so hopefully I get to catch up with you guys over the weekend for some interesting races/jokes.

p.s. anyone into some holden fun, would love to see a track full of monaro's and SS's (lol not the pulsar) hooning through the 'ring.

But for now... bring on 2.04 patch and all its hidden goodies

Training is going well! Daily Nurb runs on Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri and Sat's mean we get plenty of laps in and it's good fun too! I was in tears of laughter tonight after some track hijinx Amongst the hilarity though some good runs, a couple of one lap races saw me post 8:52 from a standing start which I was happy with then followed that with an 8:56 which saw me win by 00:017 from Ben, that one was close

Sounds like you're getting quietly confident (practice makes perfect).

Thats alot of practice there, phew, tuckered out just reading those days lol.
