Great work guys. I'm unable to attend any sessions due to work ( 🤬 ) but I will see you all on track soon 👍

I hadn't read Knukken's post - apparently Australia will be opening the rooms shortly. Great that we'll also have rooms open later.

HP - we know you've also got dealings with a rather unsavoury pirate too :scared: Have fun at work mate and see you some time soon.

A Little Bit Of History

C.R.A.P was started in 2011 by Heathenpride, as a result of his frustration at the treatment he often received in public lobbies, just because he was a 'noob' and used driving aids. He wanted a group where people wouldn't be judged for being a new driver; where people would treat each other with respect, help each other out, and just generally have a good time.

A lot of the group actually don't use any Driving Aids but they are allowed (except for Skid Recovery Force) in most of our organised races. We do also do some races without any Driver Aids which is testament to how some of the members have improved and how some of the group are up there in alien territory.

We have around 70 members from across the globe, 5 dedicated lounges and our own forum.

I joined the group in February 2012. I'd been playing the game since getting a PS3 in April 2011 specifically for the game (I'd dabbled in GT3 and GT4)

At the time I was using Traction Control to cope with a heavy right foot. With the advice I got from fellow CRAP-pers and racing in the clean and friendly rooms I learned to turn it off and be quicker without it (most of the time). Now I just use ABS=1 and will probably turn that off for all cars sometime soon.

Microphones are encouraged for cheeky banter but not obligatory. It isn't all just serious racing. We have a really good variety of some serious and some casual racing - see our first post from Lissa and my list on the previous page from this one (some of this is taken from that)

If you are a new driver looking to improve, or an accomplished driver looking for some fun races with no pressure to have to take part each week, then C.R.A.P. may be the answer you are looking for.

So How Do I Join?

If you think C.R.A.P. offers something you'd like to be a part of, just show your interest in this thread. Someone will be in touch!

How many members are in North America? I'm all registered at the forums, etc. Just wondering if the lounges are usually open and with people in them during the 7pm-midnight hours on the east coast of the US.

There are some members. Not sure how many. Probably between 5-10. There are a few from australia on at that time too if I'm not mistaken.
Some of our races starts around midnight gmt saturdays

We will often have a race 23:30 gmt for an hour or 2 on a Saturday. Also there are people on during the week most nights. Friend requesting everyone helps a lot of the impromptu racing is organise by personal message on the PlayStation Network.

There are a fair few Americans and Canadians in out midst. East and west.

If one hasn't been opened before I should be on around 23:00gmt to open another. That's about 4 hours 45 minutes from now. Open to all.

We'll do a mix of some short and medium length single make races and a bit of shuffling.

Clean racing please.

Well we had a full room all night and most of the races were clean. Well done to Mightypickle for hosting it all. Hope the ribs get better soon!

looking to find earlier races, but I can't figure out GMT to EST conversions. How much difference is it? The other group I'm in doesn't start racing till 10:30-11:00 EST and thats too late for me, I know pathetic.

I would like to say i am very interested in this group! :D let me know if i could possibly take part in races... and yes i am CRAP :D

Is that Australian EST or North American EST? WHY are they both EST, dammit!! How confusing!

OK, Australian EST is generally around 10 hours ahead of GMT, so 12.30 pm GMT is around 10.30 PM

American EST is generally around 5 hours behind GMT, so 12.30 PM GMT is around 7.30 AM

Hope that helps!

Now MY brain hurts!

For the races this weekend you need access to the CRAP lounges as they aren't available in the public lobbies. We sometimes do open lobbies available to all on GTPlanet but most of our races take place in our 5 private GT5 CRAP lounges. You'll also get joining instructions for our own forum.

If you want to join then post on here and Lissa will fix you up

Today 12:30 GMT (just over 3 hours from now) and at our regular weekend slots shown below, we have an 8 track Go Karting mini series (takes about 2 hours)

We generally run organised weekly races at

12:30 GMT on a Friday - 07:30 EST (US), 23:30 EST (Aus)
12:30 GMT on a Saturday - 07:30 EST (US), 23:30 EST (Aus)
23:30 GMT on a Saturday - 18:30 EST (US), 10:30 EST (Aus)

However there will be 3 practices/casual sessions during the week (Mon-Fri) in the evenings to try and give suitable times for the people scattered across the globe.

They may be around the following times ....(very rough estimates currently to allow the whole continent a convenient time. To be confirmed)

22:00 EST (Aus)
20:00 GMT (UK)
22:00 EST (US)

Reply to this thread asking to join.

Sure I'm interested :D I go out Saturday nights if I do, so late Friday night after work, sounds good.

Just wanted to throw my piece here.

I saw Pluxtheduck's event on GTP and joined a test run. Plux suggested I look at the crap forums for more events so I did.

Having a free weekend I decided to join the Saturday 12.30 GMT GT Race with these guys. Very friendly, very welcoming.

Shaved a personal best by over two seconds within two races, ended up doing 4 with them I enjoyed it so much.

I'm not fast enough for more serious race series. If you feel the same or as said before just want a more 'casual' approach. These guys seem legit :D

Some of CRAP are up there in the top echelons of racers and some of us are a bit more human! Kolin you did fine. Well done on the improvement.
