Hey guys

There is still space for the test race tonight, I know it's later than normal but it is the best time for everyone. Formula C and Indycar at Zolder. It will last around 1 hour, hopefully see you there!

@JohnScoonsBeard sounds good to me, I'll head up a fixed setup team, does anyone want to volunteer to organise the tuned team?

I'm in for the CRAP Fixed 1 if there's space. Otherwise I'll organise CRAP Fixed 2

So I think that fills up team 1 on the fixed side.

@knukken it doesn't matter if you can't make every event (they are open for around 4 days at a time)

Anyone want to organise or take part in CRAP Fixed 2?

I'll also organise CRAP Tuned 1. I believe/expect they're seperate weekends to the fixed setup time trials.

We can share tunes between us in that series so non tuners don't need to have any worries.

As @Spooky Wooky said it's just for fun anyway.

Had fun racing formula c at zolder today. Also having forced default setups on as well.:) I was gaining on weisda for the lead with like 5minutes to go and was less then a second off the lead, but i spun going into one of the corners. I pushed too hard. That was still a blast though.

I'm an ace in that Formula C car but the time wasn't good for me or I would of participated in it. :(

Otherwise yeah, she can be a handful if you go TOO fast and hard but otherwise it's smooth a silk compared to the higher ups.

After our Le Mans enduro I've become a fan of this car too :) just a shame I haven't gotten close to my PB in TT

Ok CRAPpers, April's combo has already been announced:


RACE 4 OF THE TEAM vs TEAM EVENT BETWEEN CRAP AND NXTGEN IS:​

Mercedes CLK DTM at Hockenheim National on Saturday the 30th of April 2016!

Tuning: Stock

In game time: 10am

Weather: Heavy Cloud

Aids: ABS only

Damage: Full

Fuel and tyre wear : Off

Qualifying 30 minutes

Race laps: 30

A new thing for qualifying this time round everyone, ALL 8 places are up for grabs, so feel free, and welcome to try and qualify for this event. As ever, use TT mode to do your times, and you can try as much as you like! Times from the in game timing screen will be used to register the times, (but you can mention your times here so i know to look at the screen and make a note of your time here) so no need to look for those memory sticks to upload screenshots anymore! ;)

Qualifying to start from today, and will be open until Saturday the 23rd of April, one week before the race takes place the following Saturday the 30th.

Just type your time there, no need for a screenshot, and i'll just check the TT screen when i'm on and make a note of it. The same to all CRAPpers too please, thanks! ;)

A few car updates/fixes. I'm guessing well get this soon. Would be interesting to see how big the XB1 update is to see if there's any DLC there for this release. Maybe we won't get anything until the Game Of The Year edition is out.

• Aston Martin - DBR1-2, Vantage GTE, Vantage GT12: Tweaked cockpit exposure to better balance the world brightness when driving in cockpit view.
• Ford Falcon FG - Made the in-cockpit steering wheel static when disabled so that the digital display is still visible.
• Ford Fusion Stockcar - Fixed a damage issue, tweaks to setups so car is less likely to go on two wheels.
• Dallara DW12 Indycar - Tweaks to setups so car is less likely to go on two wheels.

Pitstops
• Fixed an issue where, if the player pits on the final lap and only closes the pit board after crossing the place in the pitlane where the finish line is (but before the post-race screen comes up), the race would fail to end.

Appearently this patch is 2.2gb, but that can't be these few tweaks, 3 cars and the Nurb 24h layout???? Me thinks more is to come in terms of DLC.............

Cheers @admoo, but i cant take full credit for my lap, after alot of discussion last noght we figured out that most of us already had a tune on the car, im about 1 second off that pace now with the defualt tune!
.. so heads up guys, go to ur garage, put a default tune on. Then save it to the hock national track. Then go and do the time trial


I was gutted when i found out, mess up all my gearing and even the lines im taking. :(
 
@ty2, remember, we did a time trial a while ago @ oulton park? That's when we were messing about with the tune.

I made sure I reset mine before competing, so how do we judge the times now?
 
@Spooky Wooky yea i member, but i just thought that was saved for that track but its obvs wasnt, just stupidly assumed because i hadnt done the new car track combo it would be default. I still think a 1.20 is possible but gotta work at learning the new setup now!

Think we need to have a discussion on rukes for time trail,

I can think of 2 options,

1) we allow tuning in time trial,

Or

2) we post a photo from a locked defual lobby garage, ( we can see the time and also the tuning menu would be locked so we know its default )

@ty2, shall we ignore that time now of 1:20:2 that you did? And now go by your best time with stock tune? If you can ace start again and each time you do your best lap, send me an image here or on facebook and i'll update your time accordingly.

Is it the same thing with you @weisda3? Did you do your lap with a tune on the car? Please check man and if you had a tune on it, please reset the setup on the car and redo the lap please, and show me an image of your time as obviously it won't register in game now. 👍


I can do no better than a 1:21:154 on stock tune and no assists, i've updated the times as they are atm on the TT screen.

Yes, i just trust people on what they say, we know the pace of people in CRAP, and a 1:21 lap is fast, so if anyone does a lap much quicker than that, i would question it.
