Ran a 1:45.540 (Cannot remember the last numbers but I know it was in the .500 range) in the TS040 today in a STOCK setup. I tried tuning it but I EPIC failed at it. I ran so low it was in the 1:50 range due to the wonky handling this car is when even adjusting just a MM off of it.

Does anyone got a stable tune that they can share with me so i can try to "Improve" my laptime by a large margin?? I don't want it to be to stable but it needs to be neutral handling and just a touch of oversteer to make it useful for pushing. I've always driven cars this way in GT5 and GT6 but this thing is a wild animal when it comes to pushing, I just don't understand the Suspension system in this game. It's far to complex for me to understand it in numbers, the basics I understand and know it's just they throw WAAAAAAAAAY to much info for me to get a good "Grasp" out of it. Also compared to the ease of GT, I knew exactly what was causing my issues in those games in this there is just to many options and parameters that mess with the car, so it's VERY confusing as to what to mess around with.

Anyways, if anyone wants to lend me it just to make me go the extra 10 miles be my guest, that was a good as I was going to get out of it till a tune-up is needed for the lack of grip it offers.

Go to the tuning section on the pcars section here on GTPlanet. In there is a thread by Zakspeed. There's a tune in there for Sakitto that I used.

I got a suggestion. Can we please start doing rolling starts instead of standing starts? Its just a mess every time a race starts. Somehow some people get these jumps even before the green start and don't get penalized and then people just get run over even if they get a decent start and etc.... Rolling starts would be great because everyone would have a gap at least. Plus everyone is going the same speed. I haven't notice any problems with rolling starts as of late. I know it was a problem when the game first came out though.

Dove right in yesterday for my first race in a month, Evos at Laguna Seca, 17 laps, ran a 0 Pit session, had like 3 gallons of fuel left, no tyres at all, got 1st. It was nice to start racing again, started to get the feel for the game/the car/ the track 3-4 laps in.

Rolling start won't work on certain tracks with hairpins just b4 start finish other than them ones it's worth a go

Bigger tracks it is then for rolling starts. I'm just getting sick of the messy starts we be having. Maybe if we race today we can start using them.

I think it needs testing. The last time I did a rolling start (at Zhuhai) it was a disaster for half the participants. Try it tonight Elite. It's probably better to leave it up to each host to decide rather than making a rule that we use it every time. Personally I really like standing starts but that's only my preference.

Yeah a good standing start can improve my (crap) qualifying :).

If nobody else has plans to host anything tonight I will open a lobby at 1930 BST

15min qualifying
5 min warmup

BMW M1 Stanceworks
30laps
Brands Hatch Indy

I will try and make it. My wife has "said" she's going to bed straight after putting the children to bed. I may not be there for the start of Qually but send me an invite anyway please.

If there aren't many around I don't mind if you want to race with some AI. Up to you though.

Thanks.
