It would have been enough space if i had been playing Moto GP '15 , but on 4 wheels it was a bit marginal! Of course it's the racing line Kk, i was on the outside going into the chicane too......I didn't get a penalty, therefore all is fair!!!

Haha yes Kkj but when this happened people said that Alonso should have been penalised, and 1 year later when it was the other way round with Vettel pushing Alonso wide, Vettel got a penalty! The idea in racing is if a car behind gets alongside, he/she shouldn't be impeded and baulked in that they have to lift off and lose momentum.

Cutting the chicane (all four wheels off the track) on purpose is cheating. This is the kind of thing that caused big problems in the GT3 series.

@HammyMansell, Vettel's block on Alonso was a bit harder than Alonso's on Vettel. Vettel made it round as he was given just enough space

@Spooky Wooky, I didn't have an issue with the cut and wouldn't of mentioned it if my racecraft hadn't been brought into question.

Sure, but in both cases no contact was made, whereas in the race yesterday, there was contact.

OK if you want a discussion about it, what about the 2nd chicane on lap 1? All 4 wheels over the lines?
Also, whoever was behind you on lap 1 cup the 1st chicane.
I'll carry on analysing the replay and update as I go.

2nd lap, 2nd chicane - all 4 wheels over the line and whoever was behind you the same.
3rd lap, 1st chicane cut as well as whoever was behind. 2nd chicane cut by whoever was behind.
4th lap, 2nd chicane cut by you and whoever was in front.
5th lap, 1st chicane cut by whoever was behind. 2nd chicane cut by both.
6th lap, 1st chicane cut by you. 2nd chicane, you and whoever was in front.
7th lap, 1st chicane cut by whoever was in front, 2nd, the guy in front
8th lap, 1st chicane cut by both, however you could not have avoided it, 2nd cut by all 3 cars in shot.

So my question is, are we allowed to cut corners or not? Because during that race I was trying hard not to get all 4 wheels off the track, this is obviously slower than cutting across. Had I known it was allowed I would have been putting in faster laps.

No mate i don't want a discussion.....The first lap i made a mistake into the chicane, that's why i arrived there almost sideways, and if the game didn't punish me with a time penalty that's not my fault. If you see i lose momentum from the error and the car behind (acekiller15) gets closer to me. I lost time in reality, not won it.

Lol yes at the 11:40 mark, it doesn't look too bad from TV cam but in the moment, it was brown trousers time and i was on the green stuff!!! Kkj was playing hardball....Rubbings racing!!!

Well i never veer over to the right there, less so for wanting to be on the left for the tight right handed hairpin that follows.... And Kkj i never questioned your race craft, i was only saying that you can squeeze an opponent, but without making contact.

You were past me by that point. You were in front and I had let off as I was expecting you to make the corner. We both cut it that time round but the reason I highlighted that particular cut was because how far over you went and the fact it was part of an overtake. I had slowed enough to make the corner, just didn't bother because you didn't. If you had slowed enough to make the corner I would of had a chance to get you down to the next chicane.

I will need to look at the replay from my point of view as I felt I left enough space for you so any contact was because that room wasn't being fully utilised. If I'm wrong you will get an apology 👍

Anyway, as I've already said I'm not too fussed about it all as it was just a friendly race. Let's just move on and look forward to the next one. We're all still friends here aren't we?

Go ahead and do the race. We will do it again in a few weeks after the Endo race.

At the request that the race goes ahead, there will be a room opening at 5.45, however maybe we could do a short different race first to give football that extra chance?

No, but in a friendly race like the one last night I'm not overly fussed about the odd one.

( because i knew no different) that if penalties are on, then u can use the track THEY allow, on the chicanes the posts show where they will penalise, if u watch the btcc they use alot more. So in this instance i would say take as much as u can. If penalties are off then i think it shoul be blanket rule to stay in the lines.... just my 2 cent.

@HammyMansell got a penalty for cutting that corner a few laps before the overtake. It's how I ended up in front of him in the first place. The games penaltys aren't always exactly correct. At Monza you used to be able to cut the entire first chicane until it got patched. I would't call that OK even though the game allowed it.

Oh no of cause if there a mistake in the game the obviously thats not ok.

If im honest, in a touring car, no i think they got it spot on. But in my opinion its the same for everyone therefore its fair. If u take too much because you risk it, u get penalised like hammy did.
