Apparently time trial mode uses a tune if you have saved one for the car for a particular track. This includes changes made to the car's individual force feedback settings.

The leader of the CRAP time trial I posted yesterday (PC player) has changed the boost settings for the turbo. I'm 4 seconds off his alien pace in last place.

That would explain a lot. (Mr D just knocked off 4 secs from first entry :eek:) I thought everything was even for everyone. Nice to see that track condition, tire wear, and fuel are constant. Seems to be a missing component (no tuning allowed) unless SMS planned it that way. Difficult to compare pure driving skills. It's your TT/leaderboard, JSB. You can set the rules.
 
Im a 50/50 for this sunday as its also race day on sunday but the race for me is at 1 pm cst (the GT3 race) then my real life racing starts at 6:00 but need to leave to the track by 4pm. Just depends how much I get done with the car tonight

I was thinking to myself if it was possible to tune for TT. That answers my question.

In a random lobby it works like this - Nobody brakes in the first corner (they just use you to slow down), nobody can overtake without being smashed off the track, nobody likes qualifying, nobody likes racing for longer than 4 laps, nobody turns on full damage because that would stop them ramming you off the track for trying to overtake them.

Take John's advice, try and race with people off here, it's far more enjoyable.
 
Anyone know why sometimes i get alerts for watched threads on gtp and other times i do not? It is just a random glitch in the board? I've noticed it in the past on other threads on my watch list too.

I think if you don't view the thread after getting an alert it stops sending alerts until you view the thread again. I could be wrong though.

I'm not sure but it seems to be something like that. If I check a thread when I get an alert I do seem to get another alert after that even if it's just a few minutes after.

CONGRATULATIONS to @copes24 and all the other racers in our first Enduro organised by @Mr_D (big thanks) on Sunday. In spite of a strike by the AI controlled cars it sounds like everyone enjoyed themselves. We may well be running something similar next weekend (not I "unfortunately" as I'm in Germany at a heavy metal/drinking festival)

Hello Johnscoonsbeard, I had a race with you before leaving for work. WEAL77 I have a New profile name for GTP and will be using this for entering races when i get back. My wheel has arrived at the house. Im due home a week Friday. Hope to catch you and some of the other Crappers too sompoint on my time off.

Thanks Eyeseeh50. I have a question for you guys. I have my G27 shifter and peddals at home and the new wheel T300. My G27 died.

I am aware there is a cable i can buy to use the G27 peddals with the T300 but do i have to have another for the shifter?

Also, where do i get this cable from how much is it and what is the name of the cable? I have looked online but was not getting the correct item.

Would love to get this sorted for when i get home a week Friday so i can get set up quickly and online for some online races ASAP.

There doesn't seem to be any shifter adapters compatible with consoles.

Copes24, thanks, looks like im up #### creek and using my paddels. lol At least the pedals will be ok to use. Have not seen my new wheel yet as im working away I might hold off until i see it out the box. Do you or anyone else on the forum have this set up already.

I'm a T300rs user and find it a great wheel, definitely a step up from my old DFGT.
The pedal set is a little bit of a disappointment though and I am thinking of ordering the new T3PA pro pedals.

Yeah I have heard that the pedal set is not too good. I have a set from my g27 though. Was wondering iif there was anyone had the G27pedal and T300set up. I was kindly posted a link. However looking at pic there does not seem like much cable. By this i mean it is kinda short. I have a wheel stand and there a fair distance to reach from wheel to pedal.

It is just an adapter. You plug your existing G27 pedal cable into it so it will reach.

Seeing as though you're not going to be able to use you're shifter and clutch you could just do a brake mod for the t300 pedals instead.

I'm back from Rock festival excess although not fully recovered to fire up Project Cars for more than a quick photo this evening.

I'll be racing this Tuesday and Thursday evenings/nights and possibly Wednesday too. I'll probably be around from around 8pm or once I've got both children to bed. If anyone wants to try a practice for @Mr_D's race on Sunday I'm happy to do that too.
