Another new member :gtpflag:👍, add @HammyMansell we'll test out your driving chops ;) lol. My relentless plugging of CRAP on streams is not going to waste, otherwise I'd just be a rambling moron for nothing :yuck:.

Roll on GTEs tonight :). #whosaidgoingbackwardswasntfun....................

Also below is another solution to the restricted race end timer from a bloke on the official site

We had the same idea yesterday but encountered some possible issues from an organizer point of view (e.g. two cars crossing the finish line very close to each other before the down lap) which makes checking the replay necessary. One can do that, but there is an other way to overcome the 75% timeout issue. Basically you put the additional lap at the beginning of the race....a classic out lap.

Pre-condition:
Your league racers are willing to start races using a self-imposed flying start (we do this anyway as we have qualifying sessions during the week to determine which racer is participating in which lobby and taking which place in the grid; so we have to sort ourselves into the correct starting position somehow anyway; as pCars does not offer any option to do that, we needed to find a solution for that)

Solution:
- Start the online race session with all cars in the grid
- Do an out lap and do it fairly slow (we run 80-120 kmh but will reduce that if needed)
- Define a suitable starting procedure (we use the moment when the pole car accelerates; it can do so shortly before crossing the start/finish line at the end of the out lap)
- Race until all cars get the checkered flag; the final standings page shows all necessary infos as expected

What you get is a slowest time of ca. 3 minutes in Brno for example. 75% of that is ca 135 seconds, which is enough for every one to finish the race before the timer runs out.

You can manipulate the race end timer by altering the out lap speed/time.

That's a better idea!

Gutted to miss out tonight looks like a full lobby anyway!
Hope to get on sometime this week.

Welcome guys. Adding all the active users you see here and getting on our psn message group will add to the enjoyment. Let us know if you want adding to that (if you haven't already been. Cheers JSB

Anyone finding the cockpit view in the the gte too bright? I've had to turn the exposure compensation down to .30

Do you use the static cockpit or helmet cam (I use helmet). I did drive the same car yesterday and didn't notice a problem but I'll check it again. Version 6.0 included some changes to internal view exposures. There is an issue where some helmet overlays have gone missing in this patch so it may be related to that.

Or 2 if need be. If we have enough (even after a mini series has started) then we should all feel free to start another version of the same event and post in the message group and on here looking for others locked out. In the end we could always run 2 rooms of 8 or 9 maybe with new/improved AI making up the numbers.

Done. Wish I could join as this will be fun. When you "Vintage touring cars" for the cars did you mean "Historic Touring 2"

@Paul newell welcome as I raced you earlier yesterday so glad to see you join in last night. Welcome to the group mate. You'll find the racing here is a little better than in that public room. At least on here we all try to drive cleanly and respect everyone. Cheers.

How's the VOIP now?

I have only been in 2 public rooms online since the update. 1 only had one person speaking (who I could hear) and the other just had one who had a filthy cough so it's not a good test.

@HammyMansell did you notice improvements in the clarity of the in game chat compared to pre v6.0?

Edit.... It seems louder now which is good, not sure about any improvement to clarity.

I use helmet cam but it's the same with cockpit cam. Most cars are fine but the gte and a couple of others ( can't recall which ) are completely washed out.
Strange how some are noticing this and some aren't.

It's not down to tv brightness/contrast settings combined with the game?
