It seems as though a detail, that was highly anticipated of being in the game, has since been confirmed by Polyphony, after letting attendees of the GamesCom forum play a demo of GT5. Tire walls can finally be crashed into, and subsequently lead to the wall becoming deformed, in the correct manner, and the car also becoming damaged, if it happens to have the capability - see the video at 1:15 and 2:17. The same is also true for other track-side objects that are not fixed, such as makeshift plastic barriers and boxes.

Personally I think that it's not only a great idea, that damage occurs to tracks and objects within its environment, seen as not all cars will have damage, as confirmed yesterday by Kaz, but also PD has implemented this damage modelling pretty well... though we got less of one thing, we've got more of the other!
What are your views on tire wall and track-side object deformation? and how well do you think that PD has modelled damage? Will we possibly see a little more in the released version of the game?
