Craziest angles

Exhibition is different from speed drifting, but speed is still a factor in judging exhibition drifts, so it's your choice, if you increase angle but lose just as much speed, then it isn't any better than just making a normal drift.

Again, that turn is nowhere near the length of the turn I mentioned.

Ah, my bad. Did not realize you were mentioning turn 6 of apricot hill. Maintaining speed is important there, so not likely to pull off a super angle drift in an AWD machine.

My response was mostly targeted at your initial comment of hairpin only types of turns that are extremely tight.

And yes, that is a good call BL/Tank (Still use to seeing that as your name, been a while) My stint with the 22B was more over to test recovery with the 22B, but I managed to keep my speed up a far amount, so it looks decent :P

My biggest angle drift was when I was entering the last turn in Trial Mt. (the S shape turn). I was driving a Skyline GTR and before turning, I did a feint and the car went sideways, shredding speed fast (I was going about 180km on the straight), when i was near the turn the speed was around 80-100km, and i countersteered, and went into a chained drift and drifted the other way, I successful completed the turn. I even saved a replay of it. :)

This is a little bit off-topic because I did this in GT3 but nevertheless, I was goofing around Super Speedway with an Escudo rally car and I managed twice to pull off something like an 170 angle drift at the smaller corner, at speeds like 120-140mph
and of course I was still able to recover, thanks to the four wheel drive :)

Does anyone think this could be done in GT4 too?
I'll post some pics/videos of the drifts if i still find the replay files..

It's possible in GT3. I've done it numerous times. But drifts that exceed 90 degrees are useless... they look hideous in my opinion.

True they're useless as drifts, but if you want to show your friends some extreme and unusual stunts, that's what they're good for :)

This is my "craziest angle" Its not much, and I did kind of slow down at the apex of the turn, but it overall was okay. Or at least I thought so.

So what is a useful drift? :dunce: Just saying in general drifting is about style.
