They never mentioned games. They said we will get " free entertainment content " - Games, movies, dlc, music Whatever your interpretation is they never promised games, so don't get your hopes up.
Better to have no expectations and have them exceeded than be dissappointed when there is no chicken inside the egg.
PSN Blog
Also, look out for more information on the rest of our Welcome Back programme, including which free content you will be eligible for. We will be offering PSN users the opportunity to select two PS3 games from a list of five, as well as offering PSP users the opportunity to choose two games from a list of four. We will let you know exactly what games are available very soon
Stated fairly clearly by SCEE that there are games ;)

Brilliant idea. 👍

I must correct myself. I already have a green car, but there's allot of blue in that green :)

There should be a sticky for this thread linked to all the forums that people actually read. I can only find this thread by clicking on locked threads, and for chirstsakes, this is the only reason I'm currently looking in these forums. It is OK to have more than one thread, and it is ABSOLUTELY relevant to GT5. I only play GT5. Quit locking every single thread that has good, new, and relevant information.

Can we sign in yet or will it be a few days?

I just got the download and it still says it's undergoing maintenance when i try to sign in.

👍 these forums are very highly moderated compared to others I am involved in.

OH shut up. There are other forums besides GT5. This thread has been here since the outage started. If you bothered searching you would have found it immediately.

Ran the update. Signed in, said it required new password, but that I can only change password using "PC". Said they would send details to my email account. That was 20 minutes ago and nothing yet. Still being patient.

Im guessing their doing the updates by demand... IMO the Mountain states would be last (Excluding Alaska and Hawaii)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I live in Colorado. :grumpy:

Have you ever actually used the search function? It sucks. Search "PSN" and this thread doesn't even come up on the first page. GTP is moderated in a "users don't know what's good for them" mentality. Having multiple conversations on the same subject is a very natural state for most forums, and it adds value. I applaud the moderating on everything but this issue. Users on this forum reference the search function more often and obnoxiously than I have ever seen. Why not just tell everyone to go to google? I'm sure all the answers are out there on another forum. I'm done with GTP. I've only been logging back on to track down PSN info.

Could someone please describe the exact sequence of commands/dialogs the PS3 presents to ask you to change passwords? I've downloaded the patch and tried to sign on (from North Carolina), but the machine hasn't requested a new password, I haven't gotten an email from Sony and so far all log-in attempts this evening have been with the old password. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if the lack of a password request has to do with them not having flicked the switch here yet.

Oh, and separate from the above, my wireless went out briefly. Not a PS3 issue, none of my non-wired (Apple) gear was able to get on for 45 minutes or so. Firmware update from Netgear seems to have everything back in order now. Still, ack.

i agree, at least put this thread somewhere in the GT5 forums. based on post count, isnt that why most of us are here these days?

Bye! :dopey:

There is more to this site than just the GT5 section. This has specifically to do with PSN, so it's in the General Gaming section. Deal with it.

Wait, so you're logged in?

Can somebody comment on DL speeds for the update patch?

My buddy back at the house said it's going pretty slow - just wondering on different regions...

I'm in the New York area and it took me about 15 minutes to download the update to a flash drive. I was logged in, but I think my connection dropped after about a half hour.

You should check out the Overclockers Australia forums if you want to see more :P

Reply - "Use search!" or "Look at the sticky at the top of this forum you noob!"

At least that is what it used to be like, has been a long time since I used the site.
