Custom Bonnets, Body Kits, Rear Diffuser, Roll Cage, Wider Tire Width and more.

I think It would be possible for the engine swap to happen but due to manufactures not wanting crossed over engines most of the time, I think they should do it like this...

For an Inline 6 = I6 or I6 TT (TT is Twin turbo or T for single turbo or S for supercharger ect)

But there could be a system where it is an engine from a certain car but instead of the name again, they have a codename - Like a 2JZ would be T-2JZI6 (T - Toyota, 2JZ - engine, I6 - type) But not showing the manufactures name just the T, but many people would figure it out anyway I would bet. :P

The first thing I'd do is make the Devil Z...

Nissan 240ZG (Or 280zx) : N-L28TT :D

Mazda Cosmo sport: M-R4 (Yeah I know it's insane but I had one on GT5 and It was one of my favourite cars to drive.

Finally a Toyota MR2 SW20: T-2JZTT

yeah i don't see why we can't have custom Grafix & wraps on the cars. like they do it in Froza on Xbox.. Why cant GT6 have it?

I don't either. There is that '99 NISMO R34. Would be cool to put those stripes on the side with a paint chip. Or the vinyls from the Nismo R32 on the Premium R32. Notice some paint chips for the MX5 standards, have stripes. That's pretty much graphics coded in to the chips.

Actually those stripes are on the car in whatever whatever color you get the car, so they appear when a different color is applied.

So if the code is already there, why not unleash it on the premium MX5? In GT5, the Stratus White from the Aston Martin Vantage '10, blended white stripes on any car. That can't be done in GT6. I can paint over the Mach I '71 and the stripes can still be seen a bit. I'm saying, if the codes are there, it can't be hard to apply/implement.

If we did get more custom options also I'd create something like this -
VIP.fw.png

Mod list; CF Hood + boot lid, Recoloured outer trim on rims, coloured rear lights (A brighter red with white indicators), custom Japanese licence plate, and a custom larger rear exhaust.

We need to be able to put hydraulics on our cars! Especially for old muscle ones! :D

Examples:

I love hydraulics! I want Lowriders.
All we need is underglow neon and we'd have Gran Turismo 7: Underground.
I want neon too.
Imagine if we could have the ability to modify our cars like this:

Your aforementioned Nissan GT-R would look a lot more like a professional racing machine, wouldn't you agree?
Looks like a Race Mod and it makes it Street-Illegal.
Body kits, yes!

I want Wide Body Kits too.

Can't help but jump in here; personally I think it be a exceptionally novel idea to offer parts from various tuning agencies.

The likes of AP, Spoon, Weapon-R, APEXi.
My reasoning being that different firms have different R&D process'; different turbines have various spool rates regarding bearing type (I.e. ceramic v.s. steel).

Suspension conversions, drive train conversions, and engine swaps would also be nice things to see.

Might be being hyper technical here; but why not offer different cams, higher compression cranks, stroker kits, different piston types.

I think PD decide to not add more customisation as they like cars the way they were created I think I heard somewhere.
I think that PD does not add more customization not only because of PS3's hardware limitation, but also, then do not want cars to lose their historic appearence.

That's a logical assessment to a degree, vintage tin be it Japanese, European or American seems to have a mojo which is best left untainted.

They could always just void body kits and aero options for the vintage whips (pre-'89 would be my summation for "vintage").

Cars like the '72 Skyline's, Yota AE86's (marketed as the Celica GT-S stateside), were overlooked in their time (well maybe not the '72 Skyline); but have since gone on to become legends in their own rights.

On the other hand; some vintage American Muscle cars have actually had some really cool aftermarket body panels and fascias done for them at one point or another.

There were some muscle cars that were missing that I was kinda dismayed at the fact they weren't present in GT5 or GT6.

namely; the DZ302 Z/28 Camaro (1967-69 the DZ302 was actually the base power plant for the Z/28 Camaro being a Camaro fanatic I was more than a little agitated that PD decided a 350ci Z/28 would better suit the game which is a travesty because the 350 small block wasn't offered as an option u ntill the first 1970 Z/28's were produced not to mention that though the DZ302 had a smaller 5.0L displacement it produced morr useable horsepower than the 350ci 5.7L small block did. A bone stocker '69 DZ302 dyno'd out at 325hp)

Also not withstanding the '67 427 435 Corvette Stingray

Don't string me up by my heels for this one; but, maybe different types of functional spoilers that don't look über ricey.

I've seen spoilers (more geared for vintage "fantasy racers" (SCCA classics series)) that are akin to what the Plymouth Superbid (ah-ha I got it we'll take the Roadrunner give it a legit fiberglass "beak" and a big 'ol wing and a fender-shaking big block) only slightly more low-profile and not quite so loony toon-ish looking

C1 racing gran prix made by genki is one of the racing game where the customization is good. You can even put new tachometer, oil gauge and stuff like that on your hud.

Every suggestion thread needs to refer to automodellista. One of the best customisation games ever. I had the PS2 and GameCube versions
auto_modellista_4.jpg

There were a few default bodykits you could choose. Then, you could mitch match e.g. Do-Luck skirts with RE Amemiya headlights. Way ahead for a video game. I won't even get into how you could customize your garage. Literally customize the actual garage space!.

ok i know it wont get many likes. But i think Need for Speed ProStreet had a cool customizing. Players have a wide variety of decals, vinyls, and paint colors, all very similar to the previous games in the series. Additional extras have been added as well. Players have a huge variety of body modifications, such as rims, hoods, body kits, exhaust tips, spoilers and roof scoops. The Autosculpt feature, which was first introduced in Need for Speed: Carbon, is featured in ProStreet and plays a significant role in terms of car performance. Although there are more parts to autosculpt in the car, the autosculpting method is for the most part the same. The hood, roof scoop, front bumper and spoiler can all change how a car performs in a race. Autosculpt can affect everything, from a car's handling to its downforce. ProStreet now allows you to modify stock and wide body kits as well as hoods, roof scoops, wheels, spoilers etc. A new feature called the Windtunnel is introduced on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. It is not available on Wii and PlayStation 2 versions. The Windtunnel, along with Autosculpt, can affect a car's performance.
