Is there anyone at this? Going in at :18.

Wow! Fantastic race mr_VOLCANO! :)👍 Sorry for my little early braking at the t1.

I'm working on getting a car tuned for this event as I type...the 430 feels solid so far. This is likely one of the best events to date, especially with the large selection of cars and lack of RBE. I'm just glad the RBE is gone...it really makes driving some of the RWD cars on S2's a handful in a race when using the 6-axis...at least for me personally. Knowing where the cars consistant limit is helps SO much for me when using the controller. With the 6-axis it is so much easier to predict the cars limit, rather than trying to react to it.

I'm looking foward to some great battles with you guys...

Well I think haven't even played any other event since the update. And since I created this thread, I stopped doing the standard also. But then again I don't play that much these days.

Trying to get a good tune out of the 430 too. But I'm stuck between easy drive but slowish tune (1.15 lap time), or a faster but not so much and throwing me off the track at the slightest mistake tune...

Think I'm gonna consult a specialist! Hey Paulie, where are you? ;)

Nice racing mr_VOLCANO and burnout, too bad there wasn't many others with us. Thanks for waiting me all those times, just made too much mistakes all the time. :)

Brilliant stuff mates

If you're using a controller you may want to give my 430 tune a quick spin for the heck of it. I just started tuning about an hour ago and have already gotten into the mid 2:12's, which I believe is pretty competitive. It's fairly easy to drive other than power oversteer which is typical in any quick 600pp RWD car on S2's. Then again, driving styles have a large affect in finding the perfect set-up, so my tune may not work for you and your driving style. I'd be willing to help though 👍

Yeah, it's just too bad this isn't a world event. :grumpy:

I forgot it isn't a world event...:yuck: Racing with you guys is half the fun to. Bummer :indiff:

I'm coming on for just a couple races before watching Supernatural and going to bed. I'll be in the M3, see anyone interested at xx:48.:)

nsx for me.. still a bit squirrelly tho !!

was just me and a badly driven 650 gtr who quit when i passed him on turn two !

did a 30 sec tune on the m3.... looks like its got potential.. trying at 03

thanks for waiting for my badly driven m3..lol !.. i need another second out of this one.

Thanks for the race ripping_silk.
I got a failed to connect at xx:48, really sorry about that. It happened to me earlier too, that was my only race tonight.
Yeah, I botched every single lap too, not one below 2'15. Considering my average time in it is mid 2'14s and my best 2'14.0.

don't apologise.. happens all the time ! all mine were mid 15's.. but the handling caught me out first few turns. first time I've driven the m3. I couldn't keep up anyway.. you were inching away.. .. in fact flying away on the uphill right toward spoon...
The NSX still slightly quicker for me, but harder to tame. i spent a little time trying to get it behaving... didn't really get there

I might have a tune just for you through the week then on that pesky NSX.;) It doesn't give much in a way of forgiveness does it, I'm trying to make the thing user friendly.

Good luck trying to find an NSX tune that's forgiving! I have one that I'm sure will run 2'11's (best currently a 2'12.2)... suspension settings from memory (Minimum weight, power set to give 600PP)...

Ride -20 -25
Spring 2 9
Damper 2 8
Toe -0.37 +0.50 (thanks to Timo for these as they are from an old tune of his)
Camber 1.5 2.5

IMO, the NSX is only really suitable for wheel/pedal users as requires some throttle to be on almost all the time to balance the lift off oversteer... oh, and it's very oversteery on the throttle too... in other words, it pretty much oversteers everywhere. But get it right and it's incredibly rewarding to drive :)

Looks good... I was going all wrong with this one, but now it kinda makes sense :)

I'll try it later, though I'll never be under 2.14/2.15 in this track without a wheel.

Stotty very nice time in the NSX! My best is 2'12.4.

Suprisingly stiff you have the rear springs and dampers. I was under the impression that it may be easier to put the power down with a little softer springs. My front toe is also on + side. I was thinking of increasing the rear to and camber a little, seems it should be a little better that way.

I only spent half an hour or so on this last night and I did start with softer rear springs than that but each time I increased them I found the car easier to control - the subsequent reduction in roll induced oversteer made the car more responsive. The trade off for the increased stability through the corners is a reduction in outright traction... this is also true of the rear camber settings, where a lower number would give better traction... of course this means your part throttle control needs to be good ;)

I found the hard springs/shocks worked really well with the GT06 in the recent 750pp event (my rear settings for that one were 10/10).

Negative front toe quietens down the front end and this helps with the lift-off oversteer.

last night was the first time I've driven the NSX since I got my wheel - couldn't manage it at all when all I had was the pad. And as I said, I didn't spend an age on it so it's a fairly rough & ready set-up - but it seemed to work :)

Just seeing this event, sounds great. I'd much rather be racing 600PP if we're on S2's. Will be trying this schedule out tonight with the ol M3, hopefully some NTSC players out there tonight. :(

Be sure to vote then (if you haven't already) 👍

And I don't mean the presidentials :)

I'm slowing people down in this race at the moment with my blue F430 if anyone wants to join in?

Great racing with you PrudentBear, extremely clean! Looks like that M3 was giving you grief :)

All the best
Maz

Awesome times in the NSX's there guys. But how consistent can you be with it?

Can't come on tonight Synwraith, best event I've played with yet though, without a doubt.

And to think I was so negative about it in the beginning...

No worries RPM, hope to catch you around soon. Yeah those NSX times are unbelievably good, I'm doing 2'14s in the F430 but all I did was reduce the power from DC's 650PP tune. Not sure if that's the best way forward.

Atho, I'm at xx:18/33/48/03 etc in a 600PP RWD car, not on the main schedule :)

All the best
Maz

Im coming to race now in my NSX. Getting xx:12's at the minute. Anyone racing?

Edit: Now more like 13's /14's in a race.

Likewise, always a pleasure. M3 needs more work but now I've got in the NSX you might have to prise me out of it - such a good car.

Hahaha nooooooo!! I HATE that car! I still have nightmares of Timo, Zabeu, Honeycar, Tameturtle and Truth123 shadowing up to my bumper and stealing wins off me...that annoying car is faster EVERYWHERE! As soon as I saw you and Jack in the NSX in my last race I knew it was game over.

Argh where's my WRX when I need it :ill:

I tell you, this event brings back a lot of memories....

Aye, them wor t'days and no mistake.

Don't worry, I'll be mixing it up a bit. I've got decent set ups now for the Z06, M3 and NSX. I've overdosed on Ferraris recently so I'm going to try the Tuscan next. Back on again at some point after 10pm.
