If you dupe me your focus rs I could have a play and see if I can get it any faster...

I'll send it to you for you to have a play with but if you did manage to improve it I wouldnt want your settings, thats just cheating!

I know my limitations as a driver but Monaco and My current set up is just a epic fail! :yuck:

Speed isnt the issue ;)

Priesty, I was the exact same as you last night with my Focus mate!

Bugger all traction into the corners, it honestly felt like I was driving on ice!

A very very reliable source of mine (HMSMotorsport) tells me that Knight Spirit is a legend when it comes to front wheel drive cars :) Besides, he has a Civic, you//me/Bradders still won't have a chance of catching him haha

Well i been doing many laps and i done a few tweaks here and there.
Then some how im finding tons of grip. Now im getting multiple of lap times in the 1:40's

Just out a room with nate and a d-max member warren. was doing bad times (1:41) but then made a little sneaky tweak and instantly reduced my time by a second. (Easilly have a race pace of 1:39.9 and no tyre wear madness)

I do think i can get into the 1:39s, it's just the whole lap has to be soo clean.

come on priesty you can go faster!

Ha , i found an reply of us racing on Monaco. i lost count how many HMSMotorsport hit ;)
Also looked at the times, and dam we was slow then.
Mostly the fact everyone wasn't playing nicely.

Best back then was a 1:39.5xx by Moleman and Joshua1994 was in the 1:40's. Everyone else was between 1:41's - 1:45's. Hopefully we won't see that type of race again because it was chaos.

Am I the only one not looking forward to tonight?!

Should be a good close race upfront, should be fun for you guys :)

I'm not that confident. My setup doesn't feel very good here. and I only did 2 short practice sessions, so didn't improve much.

Just gonna try and avoid the confusion and hope you guys take each other out. ;)

been away for the weekend, so i've only just caught up with all of this. looks like it's going to be quite competitive after all, I'm still not sure what I can get out of the civic as I've done probably 4 laps testing in total, hopefully I'll be able to get into the qualifying room nice and early and put some decent laps in! one quick question, how strict are we being with the chicane? I'm honestly not sure whether you gain a huge amount by cutting it as from my experience you tend to lose a lot of exit speed by cutting the entry. just wonder what other people's thoughts are?
cheers
Nick

I went a little over it when I did my fastest lap time.
From the OLR:
Two wheels (except when airborne, where the vertical projection of the car onto the track counts) must be in contact with the track/circuit which includes the rumble strips and footpaths, but not grassed areas.
According do this you can cut quite a big chunk of the chicane, but it doesn't feel good to me. Doesn't seem real.
I try to do it with only 2 wheels on the curb, and not go over the curb to the asphalt area behind it.

2 wheels on the kerb is the limit guys, otherwise you're corner cutting which will result in a penalty

No we won't see that kind of racing again. Damage will be set to light for this race simply because of how tight the track is.

As far as the chicane goes i can't see any advantage in cutting it because of the angle of exit

Not the best race tonight, looking forward to GT2 over Grand Valley XD. I think we need to consider running shorter series. Maybe we should consider cutting some of the weather repeats and the nurb variant -_-, or atleast shorten the rain laps.
