No the guy took the wheel off and checked both discs said they were ok then he fixed the tracking , it drives much better now .

What a douchebag. You don't look at discs and go, oh yeah your brakes are fine. he would actually have been better off kicking the tyre!. How is he gonna know if they are seized or what? you could have a nackered caliper for all heknows. What a douchebag!.

Anyway, I'm not gonna make tonight, gotta get back to this gearbox replacement. Turns out 1 of the linkages snapped and the flywheel is total jaked aswell :(. The whole back end is missing. Needed to take a little break, it's driving me close to insanity!

Haa i agree with jimmyyy. Looking isn't enough you actually have to test them proper. ;)

Good luck with the gearbox.

I have the strangest feeling that wouldn't work! But I might be wrong.

I'm home at last, how did the racing go? I completed the stupid thing. All I need to do now is fit the exhaust, and the Rear bumper assembly then the wheels and It's a brand new car lol.

On a side note, had to give my little apprentice a bonus, he helped out with it and done the S8 with a remarkable time and level of care! Was pretty impressed! There was me thinking I would be pulled between 2 jobs!

Its nice when you come across people like that, makes you feel relieved!

Hey jimmy, I remembered you saying that you had cheap insurance if you worked in a garage, along those lines. How exactly does it work?

Alex, that sounds like the engine is running dry with the crank totally mangled and no water in it either! LOL Turns out i was right haha.. Blew a hole in the casing and only a couple drips of oil haha.. NICE!

Well, I'll run you through what I currently have.

I have a policy which covers everything in the garage. This policy also extends to vehicle insurance. There are many ways you can set this kinda thing up but what I have is this.

I have work/pleasure insurance 24/7 365 days a year. I can limit that to other people I chose to put on the policy. The mechanic David, he can drive any car any time any where aslong as the owner has given the permission and the car is insured by a driver other than him. We can't drive cars without an insurance policy.

That's where the actual garage insurance comes into it from a pleasure point of view. I can insure up to 25 vehicles on my policy that cost nothing extra unless the value is over £500,000 (Any higher and I need to pay more yearly). I can insure up to 100 employees aswell. I can set up groups within the policy. David is the same as me, anytime anywhere. The apprentice can only drive up to a 3litre naturally aspirated within the hours of 6/6(Not long passed his test). If he was pulled in a mates car and said he was insured by me, the police would see that infact, its not between 6/6 so he would get done.

It's a simple concept, and if your boss is willing to have you risk his insurance then that's how you get it.

I get you, and that seems a very good deal! So you just pay a fixed price yearly, and can insure 25 vehicles for nothing extra unless it's £<500k.

Yeah, can be a car, bus, truck, tractor or motorbike. Depending on it's use, I need to define if it's business or pleasure.
