This thread could always just be locked instead of removing off-topic posts. Which would you prefer?

Perhaps if you'd treated this thread like it should be treated, ie arranging drift meets, instead of discussing anything and everything off-topic then we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place.

Oh and, D-max, this is in the drifting forum. 💡

In all seriousness, have you guys looked around other threads in this section? There is so much off topic chat that it's annoying when we get crap for a few off-topic. Seanwelland's crap was totally deserved and I'm not disputing that, but sometimes when the chat gets off topic slightly we get slammed for it though the likes of SlideFX get no appearance of a moderator there but they talk about the most off topic stuff ever!.

Also, Frags post may have been about drifting, but it's not about arranging a meet or anything to do with the team :s. I say that because I've had things like pictures of cars etc removed or complained about.

It's a team thread so it should be a place for us to come chat amongst each other. I follow the AUP as much as possible, but sometimes I feel particular people are targeted!.

I'm not busting out and complaining or trying to be a pain in the ass, but if you treat one thread a particular way, why don't the others get the same?. If you would rather I just chat in PM I'd be happy. like I said, not trying to rebel, just chatting :).
 
I'm sorry right but we aren't causing anyone any harm are we , we're a group of like minded people who enjoy gt5 and chat about other stuff . I don't see what the issue is , yes it might not be 100% pure gt5 talk but come on its a forum , lighten up ..

In all serious though, seems like one rule for us and no rules for the rest? Your having a laugh. Don't target us like that!

My point is that if posts are kept roughly on topic, then the posts that get people warned/infracted & banned, and therefore the posts that get your thread onto our radar, do not happen.

The main issue that I saw wasn't really that "the videos" got posted in the first place, as that was just a case of removing them and dealing with the poster. It was the fact that most of you laughed at it and quoted it and changed the thread title because of it, yet it was clearly against the AUP. You need to take a bit more responsibility for what folk post here. It may be your thread, but it's still Jordan's site and, even though most folk visiting here are in your team, the AUP and Jordan's wishes as to how the site is run still applies.

The bottom line is that if the thread goes along nicely, with everyone playing nicely and obeying the AUP, and without posts getting reported, then we won't bother you.

Now, lets just leave it at that and see how it goes, or feel free to continue via PM with me, or an admin if you feel you're being targeted, if you wish.

Yeah they have, but personally I feel it worked well. It's not to the point where it looses image quality, and some look much more solid than the originals, but hey that's just an opinion! :)

I seen on eBay a computer maker than selling a gaming computers at like £270 odd quid. With 3GHz Dual core, 8 GB ram , 2tb memory , ati radeon hd 6450 1gb graphics card and 4 free games. One thing not included though is the Operating system. But i say get xp or something pretty cheap.

Or get 4Ghz quad core , 8 gb ram , 1 tb memory only you have to upgrade the graphics card as it's only a integrated. And you still get 2 free games with that but again have to buy Operating system. And that's selling for like £280

I could get it right now but it would leave me absolutely skint, which isn't good considering I have digs to pay each month and my phone bill etc.
Selling the PS3 will clear up some space for where the desktop would go (at my desk funnily enough!) and it would give me that little bit of money that I need to keep me going.
I'm only selling it locally though. I'm not firing it all in a box and sending it across the UK.

Also Chris, it's not JUST for Diablo 3. But Diablo 3 has spurred on my actions to actually sell it. If you check my Steam games list, you'll see I have around 140-ish games? I can honestly only play around 20 of them, and that's at the lowest spec possible. With a new computer, it'll open up a whole new branch of gaming for me.

To stay on topic:
I might drift later. Got some stuff to do for my dad but not feeling for it just now!

Mcglone, it's not actually what you think it is lol.. It's just more sheesh crammed into a smaller space. I personally had to take my tower apart to make ends meet on my computer lol.. funny times. I sure sean can do the same!.
 
Nononono. Because the internal units smaller to which they won't perform to the standard of a normal pc. Trust. The graphics cards are smaller and are soooooo bad. Even though you pay out for a 1gb or 2gb. I have a slim computer i know man! I don't want someone else thinking they going to have a gaming computer out of a slim one.
