On another pre-haps we ought to do some testing on the cars before banning any cars.
Is that the spirit of R RX7 or just the RX7s in general as the others appear to be slower

I would never forbid the FD, if other drivers are to slow it's not the problem of the FD driver.
There's also no need for a HP limit, more does not cause any better drifting

Yes theres a need of hp limit and car restrictions otherwise I see how this will end up. V8 and V10 all the way and hairpins drifted in 5th (wow). Not to note I smell people going drag race if there's no rolling start.

I drifted Fujis hairpin in 5th because I have a very short gearing and the turn is fast... Why V8 vs V10 only? FD is rotary and ALOT of people don't use these super cars as we have seen in vDc

Any way or the other 600hp is enough and I can take your argument backwards and say that if you're unable to drift with less than your so so 750hp ZR1, then it's not the problem of the person that organize (I'm not saying that it's the fact).
Those rules are here to even the competition.

Ok I get what you mean. The HP rule could make sense but the FD should be allowed, wouldn't be fair for the FD freaks.
I personally have no problem with 600HP but I can imagine how some people will get a shock because the are used to their 1000HP Vipers harhar

Well I never tried the FD other than in stock form so I don't know why its banned. But FD freaks can take the cheaper FD (not the Spirit R).

btw. I read the topic at speedhunters about kumakubo and his laurel and I'm surprised why he doesn't just try to get more out of the Evo...

1000hp out of the 4B11T, I doubt its possible to achieve that without having to overhaul the engine after each run lol. And he'd still lack of torque. And since he switched to Evo's he "sucked" anyway, he had far better results with the subbies (the period when he was at its top level).
I don't know how people like Kawabata or Hibino will do for that season and the next one because theres some tracks where they'll be in struggle to stay in the pack (Fuji for example).
Kumakubo took the Laurel and put an RB26 in it because it has the potential to make big power "easily". Turbocharged straight 6 are the V8 of D1GP.

As for the reason behind the ban of the RX7 Spirit R which it is, they are very fast with the bends and even with a stock suspension setup will pull a huge gap from anyone!!
On the note of the horsepower limit, this will restrict people using cars such as A 1000Bhp Viper ACR and so on and so forth which in my opinion just ruin the competition. I'm going for the ability of tandem drifting from you guys not who can get A bigger gap.
Also I was looking to restrict the cars at the higher end of the power bracket with Aerodynamic parts such as big Spoilers. the Chevrolet corvette Z06/ZR1 are pretty even when it comes down to drifting speeds until you add a ridiculous spoiler on the the back of it. This ofcourse guys is easilly policed in such a competition. POWER ISN'T EVERYTHING!!
Now refering to the D-max Driver/Judge run, there will be more than just d-max judges! HMSmotorsport I hope will be a judge if he isn't up to competing and as some of you know, he has real life experience of this and in no-way is biased!. The organisation is not complete and when the final list of drivers is up, the judges will be announced at the same time

I limited the nascar to 450bhp and spent weeks tuning for a comp. sob sob i think im gonna cry now i cant use my two favourite cars
