finishing 10s ahead of Mad Max in the RX7 (Max mate... Initial D is a different game title I believe ;)),
I'm sure I was ahead of you until you showed me the sand pit
Of course it was planned. From the little I've seen of your driving from my usual lowly position on the grid, that's how you always drive. :sly:  :P
I usually hit at least one of them :sly:

I think it’s overheating. It gives me the red light and shuts down within less than a minute I turn it on.

I moved it to a “safer” spot on the shelf and all, but it didn’t improve. I think the fan might be malfunctioning.
Have you tried opening it up and cleaning out the dust? Might help if it's overheating.

Started taking some pictures then realized I should probably practice for Nations at least a little bit.

Hey Fellas, I’ve been wanting to put together a weekly race night for a while now. It seems like there are a lot of regulars in the Daily Race thread who race often but don’t necessarily get the chance to race with each other or other regulars/members as often as they’d like to. So I’m proposing a once a week get together to run through the Daily Races, just for fun, no scores or week to week standings or anything like that, all skill levels welcomed. My initial thoughts were to use everyone’s Daily Q times to remove the time needed for qualifying on race night in order to get to the racing faster, I was thinking 6 races per night, 2 of each combo with the first race using everyones Daily Q time to set the grid and the second races being a Reverse grid based on the finishing order from the first race to mix things up and give everyone a better chance to have fun.

I’m still in the initial phase of getting things organized and most things are still up for debate and improvement, so if anyone has any ideas on how to make the format or experience better, I’d love to hear your ideas. Thanks for stopping in, I hope to see many of you out on the track once I get things going. I’m hoping to get it up and running in the next week or two. Have a great day everyone. :)

Edit: We are now up and running! The first few Saturdays have seen some close, clean racing and it’s been a lot of fun. Great Job Everyone!!

Now that the details/format of the races are basically finalized and working it’s time to edit this post so all new racers don’t have to search through the thread to find them.

The format for our Saturday Night Daily Races is as follows, the lobby will be posted in this thread and the Daily thread on Saturday nights. The Lobby is set to friends only so we don’t get random drop ins, so if you want to participate simply send me a friend request so you’ll be able to see the lobby when it opens. All participants are welcome and all assists are allowed. Our Race C’s are not full races as in the Dailies, the Laps are Halved and Fuel/Tire wear are not used to keep things simple and cut down on overall time.

- Race Lobby Opens @ 8:30pm EST to give everyone a chance to arrive and settle in.

- Action Starts @ 9:00pm EST

- Qualifying for Race 1/A Starts, 1 Out Lap + 2 Hot Laps

- Race 1/A, Fastest First Grid.

- Race 2/A, Reverse Grid Based on Previous Results

- Qualifying for Race 3/B Starts, 1 Out Lap + 2 Hot Laps

- Race 3/B, Fastest First Grid.

- Race 4/B, Reverse Grid Based on Precious Results.

- Qualifying for Race 5/C Starts, 1 Out Lap + 2 Hot Laps

- Race 5/C, Fastest First Grid.

- Race 6/C, Reverse Grid Based on Previous Results.

- Race 7, Bonus Race 1, Reverse Grid Based on Previous Results.

- Race 8, Bonus Race 2, Reverse Grid Based on Previous Results.

- Race 9, Bonus Race 3, Reverse Grid Based on Previous Results.

Fellas, I just realized that Friday was our one year anniversary of doing these races. I just want to say a big thank you everyone who’s been coming out and making these races great for so long! We had another awesome night of racing on Friday, and we’ve still got many more to come yet! You guys are awesome!

Oh realy? Let's see how that *realy* played out :P.

Lap 4, T1/2 ... Yes I did make contact....this was as close to the sand pit as you got from that:

I was ahead the rest of that lap till the final corner, with *me* playing in the sand as you pass me:

With that move you were 2 places in front of me starting lap 5. When I passed you for the final time, you were doing this:

Mate, as far as I could tell, you didn't need my help to find the parts of the track that *weren't* tarmac .

The dirt racing took me back 14 years or so with gt4. My Friend and I used to race big old muscle cars on the ice arena. :)
They would slide around and if you knew you had overcooked it sometimes there was nothing you could do knowing that you were going to hit the other car :P

Thanks again for the host, Mr. Pigems. I apologise to anyone I hit in the Porsche race, I can't drive that thing and it wants to kill you at every corner.

I consider Porsche's to be a bit like on the dirt or snow. If the steering is adjusted even slightly, anyone either side of you should consider themselves swiped :P
Seriously, they are like trying to drive a race car with the CoG altered by a superball triggered by any movement of the steering wheel!
