Daily roulette is rigged.

It would be pretty easy to check the distribution of cars if Kudos had access to the daily workout car stats.

Heck, we could even do it ourselves with a thread here that required daily input from a pool of say 100 players who played at least once daily...

You don't need a huge pool of results to spot anomalies in statistical distribution.

As I said earlier, my belief is that the table of potential prizes has duplicates at the lower levels. The selection from the total list may indeed be random, but if the low priced cars are duplicated several times, it will give apparently non-random results compared to being picked from a list that only had each car in it ONCE...

I'm not sure it matters at a certain point, and until the work is done, we won't really know..!

If all you really care about is a P440 or an XJ-13, you may not be really spotting trends in the sub-1M cr. range. But some hard figures are needed before any of us will know for sure (or to a higher degree of probability, LOL)

Be nice of that car list OP were updated with their prices...

Totally Agree, the algorythm seems to give more opportunity to some models. I have 1/4 of all the cars on the garage and still win the same. 20mil cars are almost impossible to win on the roulette....more possibility on VGT or Gt3/4 cars

Since this is the place to vent about perceived truths in respect to the DWG, here is mine:

on days where i just use a rubberband to go 45 Laps on northern Isle oval, i receive n-class cars like supra, modern Alpine110,1997 Skyline or an Abarth500.

When I actually play in Career gt league, circuit exp. or complete Sport Mode Quali laps I tend to get Gr.4 and Gr.3.

Must be a pattern there!

I don't think how you achieve the 26.2 miles has anything to do with what you get. I typically do a custom race to get my DWG. I vary this between Gr.4, 3,2 & Gr.1.

After an update when a new circuit experience and GT league events are added I then use these to complete my daily workout.

My gift car is always apparently random i.e. if I do a 10 lap Gr.1 race two days in a row I have seen 4 n class cars on the wheel one day and have had exotics the next. The same is true if i do my workout on consecutive days using GT league - even if its all beginner events. Pretty sure it was from a beginner event I won one of my many Cobras (Not the Daytona one though)!

Started a new game again. Same cars in the Circuit Experience and my Daily Reward was a C7 Gr.3 that I got before deleting my last file. Now, I've not deleted the game and re-installed nor uploaded my online saved file.

Maybe if I uninstall the game and re-install, the outcomes may change. If someone has done this, can you post your observations.

It's still gotta be random more or less. Throwing an F40 around a time trial for a bit and getting the GT F1 car, and racing GR1 cars and getting a GT86 doesn't mean what you drive = what you get.

Just go enjoy driving random cars on tracks and if you get something good, you do. They're still throwing free cars at you daily, stop bitching if you're not rewarded every day with the 20mil cars.

Somebody sent me this

Same exact car won 3 days in a row :boggled:

That's bad, although I've won the same car twice in three days and three times in a week recently (GR4 SLS) and at the start of the game I got one of those cheap S-FRs a lot too, would have quite a few by now if I didn't delete all dupes. :indiff:

I've been waiting a while now to post a video to prove you can still get a really expensive car, however I have not had anything better than a GR3 car and I'm doing the daily workout on two accounts.

Go into your garage, click sort, by date acquired.
Which sorts them by the date you acquired them, but those three cars could be months apart, or just three days. There's no actual way to tell from that image.

In other news, I got a McLaren 650S Gr.4 that I didn't previously own yesterday. And then an NSX that I do just now.

True enough , i guess the more accurate statement is his last three spins were the same.
Maybe ask the guy who sent the pic if it was 3 consecutive days.

In other news i just received an Audi R18 Le Mans '11 for the first time.
I guess i now own all the cars in the game.

Not necessarily. Extra cars could have been deleted.

Well you have to take people at their word or at least guard your statements by saying that this guy got three Novas after consequetive days if you beleive he sorted by date, and he didnt delete cars etc. etc.

I've got three Novas (at least). For me, those SEMA specials are just ordinary gift cars. I dont believe that guy lied about it because... for what reason?

Its like saying you got a venereal disease... three times... in a row.

I didn't say he lied but we have to take all possible scenarios into consideration.

Like your thinking.

Anyone ever got the same car, twice in a row, on the same day? Well I did. Completed one of the new circuit experiences lately, got a dark green Challenger. I had also completed the daily marathon while doing it so another lottery and wham, a bright green Challenger. I actually already had a lime green Challenger from some earlier daily marathon so my game seems to like green Challengers for some reason.

Not exactly like you asked, but I did get a BRZ on both my profiles on the same day. I also got 2 Audi R8 Gr.3's, one just before midnight, and one 20 minutes later when I'd driven enough to get the new day's workout gift.

It does say in the photo that the cars are sorted by date acquired.

And then i went looking thru the daily gift car thread and it didn't take long for me to find a similar post.
Oct 13th a guy posted he had won the same yellow Toyota on 3 consecutive days , so i tend to believe the guy got the Nova 3 straight days.
I'm sure you can probably find more in that thread about getting the same car 3 days in a row and like you said why would people lie about it.

Rather snarky to assume that anyone showing evidence of consecutive cars MUST (or might) be lying.

Might as well assume that anyone claiming otherwise might be lying too...

But would anybody like to come up with a reason why anyone actually might WANT to lie about it? Applying equal weight to all possibilities, so anyone telling the truth has the exact same likelihood of telling a lie is pretty cynical!

Maybe instead of taking potshots at people's anecdotal evidence, sort your OWN garage by date acquired, and take a look at them. I'm guessing most people tend to go on buying sprees as new cars are added, so it ought to be fairly easy to spot that spree and discount them as being chosen by YOU, and the remainder in between updates tend to be your Daily Prize...

Shouldn't be hard to spot trends...

Alright you want to know why we say it's rigged? Because sometimes the spins get slower than usual. On purpose.
Like it happened to me a few seconds ago after getting all golds for the Nurb driving experience.
There were two normal cars, one of which was the Mustang Mach 1, and the other two were a Mclaren racing car and the Peugeot 908. When you do spins regularly (for the daily rewards), you know the speed at which the cars, light and sound turn. And the cars, at least those I get, are always either duplicates of cars I already own, or low cr cars.
Well this time the spin turned slower. Listening to the sound and looking at the screen, I should have got the Mustang Mach 1 (50.000cr), but no...I couldn't possibly get a "normal" car for completing the Nurb event. So the light slowly moved to the following car, which was the 908 (1 mil cr).

I don't need any other proof. I know it's rigged. The car you're gonna get is chosen before the spin even start.

You believe what you want.

More than that, all four are chosen before you ever see the animation. We know this because you can exit without saving, restart and get the exact same carousel (albeit in a different order, usually) and get the exact same car (also, usually, after a different number of beeps).

Personally, I think it's preset, rather than "rigged", in exactly the same manner as the GT5 UCD - with a massive, massive predetermined list (made up of car IDs in excess of the available car IDs, rolling over, to account for DLC cars) and a start point seed generated by some kind of account/console identifier. I've heard evidence of users getting different cars on a different console (same account), and of users who have restarted the game (following a corrupt save) have received the same cars in the same order, suggesting that you progress through the list by completing the marathon and not on a day-by-day basis.

As our rejoining banned user couldn't be bothered to test it out, I will be doing so after the next update (if no major bugs are introduced requiring another update), just to ensure I've got the time with nothing changing in the game code in the process. I can see a couple of problems with the test that may generate odd results and won't confirm the hypothesis, but we'll cross that bridge if we come to it.
