Daily, weekly and monthly rivals

Yesterday’s hot lap featured the Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 in Ruapuna Park Club layout. Today’s hot lap takes place at Laguna Seca aboard the Ford GT. We are having a Ford themed week.

the Ford GT was horrible IMO, it just wouldn't turn.
Agreed, it was not the most responsive car, although I think it’s directionally accurate compared to dedicated race cars.

Still, I do like the track and having to adjust a bit how to handle corners in a different car is part of the fun.

Wednesday of pace setters: Mount Panorama with the Aston Martin Vantage GTE, and the weekly rivals event features the Jesko at Interlagos.

I did just managed to use all my available daily rivals runs without setting a valid time for the first time since I've started playing this game

Normally I don't have any problems with Bathurst (and I really like this track) but today I just couldn't get it right - either messing on the last lap having low 2:09 set already or just couldn't get through the T1 after the restart :indiff:

I managed a 2:06 something I think. I quite enjoyed it today, when you nail that middle sector it just flows so well and so satisfying. I did mess up a few times myself trying to see how late I could brake into some of the near flat out turns.

Having only just bought the game I've just discovered Rivals mode. I'm hooked. If the game didn't have anything else extra other than this, which it has, I'd be happy. I love that "just one more go" to try and shave off a little time. It gives a whole new incentive to fire the game up each day. The only problem is it's stopping me playing the other modes. :P

I enjoyed the the Porsche 935/80. Managed to get in platinum!
@jammy21 I see you up there, always near the top. ;)

Oh and Breakout, what a hoot. I didn't know I wanted that until I tried it!

Yeah, rivals is fun as there is that max count of tries so you have to make it all tries to count. Sadly I only have time run rivals on weekends

The Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 racing visits Knockhill at dusk for a pace setter.
I'm enjoying that combo. I had managed to scrape into the platinum but may not end up there. The Viper takes a bit of adjusting to the speed of the thing - and that it's a road car! There were a few duff laps before I slowed down and got a clean one in.

What's up with the times for the monthly event? the times are so spread out, are people not turning up with fully maxed out cars? or maybe not using kers? Anyway I managed a 1:47 then I decided to use the grip tune and i managed a 1:42.912 and got myself into sixth place so i'm pretty happy with that

The Lotus Type 40 Ford runs a hot lap around Hockenheim Classic GP layout. Warning: The track is somewhat buggy at the first chicane. It stutters quité a lot just before the braking marker, so it can throw you off!

The Pagani Huayra BC runs a pace setter at sunny Shanghai Wusong Chase circuit.
I've not tried it yet but I would think that's quite a handful around there. I notice the weekly and monthly events are now at the same circuit and in similar conditions!

I know it's been mentioned before but it's a shame you can't toggle the ghosts on and off while driving. When you get those that are at a similar pace to you their cars do obscure the view of the track somewhat.

And I wish the ghost files would auto delete themselves. I have to keep clearing up my drive because they tend to build up after only just a few events.

I didn't know that just found 330MB worth of replays lol so safe just to delete the whole folder?
