Daily Workout Gift Bug

I've had this happen every once in a while, would complete the required distance and then nothing happens when I go to menu. Would go somewhere else (Campaign mode or Brand Central) and still nothing would happen. I would usually exit the game and come back in and then it would work. There was this one strange time where this happened about a few minutes before 12:00 CST and after I did that day's distance, I for some reason got both a car from the day before AND the one from that day consecutively.

A fix that has always worked for me is going into the main menu after you complete the workout, then going to your garage and exiting to the main menu again, it has worked every time the regular workout doesn't come up. Hope it helps!

That is a different thing, simply caused by a non-communication with the server. Going into something else and back out re-establishes the connection, and the reward pings. Even if it doesn't the next time you start the game up it will ping and you'll get the reward car - even if it was days before.

This is a situation where players are never getting cars under any circumstances - and new, alternate accounts are unaffected.

This bug is not the "Oh I didn't get a car, I'd best go and do something else and poke the game into giving it to me" glitch. It's a full-blown literally not awarding any cars at all under any circumstances bug that no end user can do anything about.


Affected users are not getting any cars at all. Not by going in and out of something else, not by booting the game up the next day, not by anything. We're talking about literally weeks and weeks of meeting the conditions and zero cars awarded.

This is why there is an article about it.
 
Hope in a hot fix update they will add option to turn off this feature manually. Not like there never worth car, there no more cars needed from what I bought.

That states as me not having this trouble and I'm usual player, few times per week.

I just came across the thread itself after already parusing the forum so didn't see the article at first.
 
I've been lucky for now i guess, knock on wood..im one who just returned to gtsport after a many months pause. I even had deinstalled and reinstalled it recently.
Got daily gifts as normal. And my progression too.
 
I'm happy to report that this bug has not yet made it's way into my account. Seeing as I've encountered some major issues & bugs in the past with GTS doesn't make me confident that it won't show up at some point.

They should do it diffrent. That daily reward should be a mixed chance of cash, colors, xp and very very rare cars(that you cant buy or get it other way). I more like to getting some money or something fancy instead of the 10th time a damn random gt3 car ^^

Same for me. Have just started playing it again at the end of December and haven't had any issues with it since then. Although, unlike you, I haven't uninstalled the game in between.

Ya, this feature was poorly thought through. In the first week, it was cool. After that, It a little strange.

I'm pretty sure 99% of my garage is from gifts. For instance, if I sold all the Gr3 cars that I purchased, I would still have multiples of each car.
 
No problems here with getting gifted cars every day. However, there were a couple of times when I got the same car for two days in a row. What are the odds of that happening? Not that it matters much as I'm nearly at the 1,000 car mark. I know I have been gifted with one-million credit cars but I don't think I have ever received a fifteen- or twenty-million credit car, but that's OK because I have more than enough of those high-credit cars. Unfortunately, there aren't enough of a variety of twenty-million credit cars, so I'm stuck collecting high multiples of the same cars. Anyway, I'm lucky to not have any glitches with my GT-Sport install. Thank heavens.

What's even worse is the bi-monthly Mileage Exchange. In the last few months, I think I was only able to purchase a wheel rim set that I didn't already have. There simply isn't anything more for me to get. So sad.

After renting for a week right around release and not playing again until recently, I'm not getting any daily rewards at all. This past weekend I upgraded to a brand new PS4 Pro and re-downloaded the game using my old saved data. Unfortunately this didn't change anything for me.

The only thing I haven't tried is deleting my old saved game, which I really don't want to do. It's just frustrating how the game shoves my face in it by showing the full Daily Workout bar constantly!

Well same problem here, game sharing the game also, had this game couple of years ago, but Haven't played it since, just got it 2 days ago and it asked me if I want to import my old account so I did, was like what's the worse that can happen, only played it for an hour or two before so tought I would have some extra ars to sell lol, well after completing first Sunday cup and doing 50% gold driving school, so is starting fresh the only way to fix it or even if I delete my account and start again this will still keep happening ?
 
I have the same issue. I've started to play one week ago after one year and a half. Does anyone have resolved the issue after all this time? I've tried to find some email or contact to let Polyphony Digital know the issue but i didn't find nothing.
 
I gave in and deleted my saved data and started over. Really gonna suck, I had all license tests gold, 95% of circuit experience gold, and half the missions gold. This company is never getting another dime from me after I've bought every GT ever.

Did you solve the problem? Personally I think I won't restart all again and hope for a solution in the future. I'm a occasionally player and restart all again will be the dead of the game for me. Really frustrating
 
It did work thankfully. I deleted the saved data from both my console and the online backup. Started the game and it asked me if I wanted to start a new game, I said yes and it did fix the problem.

It is frustrating though, but every time I would play it would bug the heck out of me!

They've answered me with the issue page link of Sony, but that's not the point. So I answered to that mail explaining one more time that is a problem regarding several players, so that's not a console problem or data problem. I've also invited them to let polyphony digital know the issue. Now I'm waiting for another response.
 
Hello, I have the same problem.. Can't get any car after reach daily workout goal. This is very Annoying. I wrote Playstation support and they answered me this:

Hi Mattia,

Thanks for your email. We’re sorry to hear you’re having issues with Gran Turismo Sport.

From what you've told us, I think that you'll be able to fix the issue by the following the steps below:

1. Firstly please restart your console and try launching the game(s) again.

2. Please check that the game(s) is/are updated to the latest version. You can do this by highlighting each game on the Content Launcher and pressing Options > Check for Update.

3. Make sure you are using the latest version of system software. You can check this by selecting Settings > System Software Update.

4. If you continue to have issues then you will need to rebuild your database. Rebuilding your database is useful for cleaning up the data on your PS4 as it reorganises everything on the hard drive. To rebuild your database please go into Safe Mode ( information on how to access Safe Mode can be found here http://bit.ly/PS4_SafeMode) and select option 5.

5. If you’re still having issues, you will need to initialise your console. Initialising your PS4 will delete all data so before you do this please back up your data by using a USB or PS Plus Online Storage.
To initialise your console please select Settings > Initialisation > Initialise PS4.

6. After initialisation, please:

a) Reinstall the game(s). Please ensure you re-download using a wired connection.
b) Launch the game(s) again before reinstalling any game saves. It may be that the saved data has become corrupted which is why the game(s) crashed.

7. If you have replaced the hard disc drive (HDD), please reinstall the original (if you still have it) and try again.

8. If the issue is ongoing and multiple games are crashing then your console may need to be serviced. Just grab the serial number from console and click on the PlayStation Fix & Replace link below to get started.

If this is only happening with Gran Turismo Sport and the troubleshooting has not resolved your issue, let us know and we’ll escalate this to our specialist team for further investigation.

I received two steps to try - renew authorisations in PS menu and rebuild database. As I expected, nothing helped
Today was released patch 1.57, will try it. Fingers crossed :) (release notes unfortunately does not mention Daily bug)

P.S. requiring to reinstall whole PS4 is a joke, when there is problem with one game and there are many players affected.

not gonna happen :) Daily cars are not as important for me as my progress...

Maybe time to contact Kazunori on Twitter? if there are enough tweets, maybe he will pass it to the bugfix team

Also having the same issue.
Played the game for 3 months when first released.
Coming back to the game now and haven't recieved any daily workout rewards.
One thing I can confirm is that there is no point initializing the PS4. I had to do this about 6 months ago (between playing). It seems it is an issue relating to importing an old saved data.
Looks like I will have to delete old saved data and reinstall which is really frustrating as I had extra download content when purchasing the game which I won't get back either.
As an old GT fan this reaffirms how disappointing the GT Sport release is for me
