Datamined car list

It is damaging, but not in that way. PD aren't going to scrap a circuit because its release was leaked. But they do start to change how the game is packed and encrypted which makes it much harder for modders and data miners to do their thing. And before you say "so what", these guys are able to keep GT Sport playable after the servers go down should PD not do that. They have breathed new life into past GT titles and poking PD in the eye hampers that, potentially in a huge way.
In fact it's already happened in more than one way so far across GT7 including one that is rather recent - it just so happens that said person remains unaffected - not only because it's a misleading data source that's easy to access (mem viewing) but not really meaningful either (no proper access to game assets). They are just good at downloading the latest piracy copy available to them, and merely copy-pasting onto GTP and other places once the occasion becomes possible.

Honestly all of this has already been argued a few dozen pages before, both this site and user are ignoring.

I believe in information that provides more good than harm, that sure doesn't fall within that.

Yes, provoke the guy who is openly trying to cause damage to PD to make PD's life harder, and thus make them waste man-hours patching leak holes instead of working on the game.

That is a stellar idea. I'm sure there is no possible negative repercussions from this.
PD damaging GT franchise themselves by adding ****** MTX while also pumping out worst career mode known to date. As if they actually put effort into the game by adding so much nonsense and dull ideas, I'll be tired of describing them all. They deserve the downfall for wasted potential. 25 years down the drain

It's just a law of the internet/digital world that anything that is there to find, will be found if someone wants to find it. There's no point gatekeeping/policing/trying to make rules for what can and can't be done, cause people will do what they want to anyway. The whole concept of defining which leaks provides good and which ones provides harm is just a complete waste of time, and is at a bare minimum purely subjective.

Mods as a whole are based on people sharing tools and ways to view and manipulate code, and it just comes with the territory that information about the games becomes available too. Besides, a lot of publishers will actively share what they're working on and will be releasing...

PD could just not put the info in the publicly available builds and they wouldn't be there to be mined.

Whenever the time comes that these games can be emulated, I'm sure people will have figured out how to access the files, no matter the encryption or how it is packed, just as they have for the past 30+years no matter how hard it was at the time of release

Yahoo! I can't wait! The Snow Oval update will be fire!

Here, I leaked the trailer shot for you. It must be real, because I said it on the Internet (and it was in the Datamine!).

No one is saying it's definite though, quite the opposite.

But given the history of success of these lists, it's the best we've got to speculate on future updates. Occam's razor and all that. Quite funny looking back at all the posts denouncing the lists as gibberish, before being proven wrong update after update. Again, everyone knows what's on the lists isn't definite, but it's more likely than guesses taken out of thin air, even though we have hundreds of pages of comments making update predictions on the forum too.

everything real and i respect that. datamine still real too, and i respek that.

there won't be a patch without at least one datamine car, im calling it now

Mtx is just optional and if it allows free cars and tracks it could still be a good thing, the only bad things about gt7 is roulette tickets and career mode, everything else except for more cars and tracks is big improvment campared to previous games, a better career mode would be enough for gt7 to be easily the best in the series

MTX's inform many of the decisions around the game design. Car prices, race winnings, car scarcity etc. So it isn't really optional.

Go back to the older GT titles and they weren't nearly as grindy as GT7 is.

GT7 is massively hampered by its poor economy and career mode IMO. So I don't disagree with your final point, it's frustratingly close to being outright the best in the series, the issues aren't hard to fix, but they're pretty big issues for the way I play the game personally.

Its a bit of shame with the career mode, becouse we know the pontential for this game is big, the best paying events is decent, but the main issue is that they are only 4 of them and none has been added since april last year, but the issue we have with engine swaps and s parts, might be resolved soon witch is good, becouse the ods in roulette tickets is really bad, i dont know if pd is waiting for sophy before doing a proper career mode again, and that would be really great but that could take years before we are even there, it might be fully implented in gt8 hopefully

I thought about that Sophy thing too, but if that’s the case, they would’ve forgot their responsibility. The game is out now and people paid for it and got promised something, so you have to act now. But I don’t see any significant action regarding single-Player after Kaz‘s personal words in April last year, just some events and menu books here and there, but no new missions, championships, music rally’s etc..
And that while they actually have a really cool thing on their hands imo with the menu books, they could do so much more with it.

I understand it's a new entry, but it's the same car. It's at least a little related.. I hope both the 8 and 9 Evos are coming. Can't wait to see their models for the current engine..

Beautiful car and the last time GT represented it was on GT6 - ugly looking game...

So, it’s not the ‘95 GSR?
It’s probably the GSR and not the RS since they’re pretty much the same bUt RS is lighter, only came in white and had steel wheels(purpose was for people to ditch them when converting to a rally car)

The entry from the datamine leak is left over from the old game, Nenkai is saying the GT7 version of the Evo III is a new separate entry in the game files.

Still doesn’t prove the theory mentioned above.

I completely missed post #1246. All good.

Stopped by for some hopium.

Reviewed the list and I’ve whittled it down to my current top 5 hopes.

1- 190E

2- ‘96 911 Turbo S

3- ‘87 CTR

4- 812 Superfast

5- 500 E

We shall see…
Would love to see them too, but in case of the 911 Turbo, it says 93 in the list, which makes it a 964 Turbo instead of my beloved 993 Turbo :(

As expected. The Evo III is a lowercase, it never fails.
The legacy list of cars and bikes is present in both lower and upper case. It doesn't mean anything.

The steering list is the only one that matters, it has 100% accuracy so far. I haven't downloaded the 1.34 update to check for new additions, but that Aston Martin Valkyrie is more than likely featured.

Edit - checked 1.34 and the AMV is indeed there.

gilles_villeneuve course layout was also added.

i will not download that, i'm pretty sure it's gonna make the c5 situation i talked about worse...

Some of these will probably be getting model upgrades and will end up in the game.
