Ok, I just played it and I think it's boring.

it's just one of those games that you just walk around and kill a few zombies now and than and do some missions and kill a few more zombies. I played it for.........around a hour I think. Maybe it gets better down the road, but as of right now I do not like it. I will play it some more to see if it gets better.

Don't play it alone. The weapons start getting much more interesting once your character gets to around level 10.

In any case... find a friend or friends who have the game and do co-op.

For the love of god all I want right now is some ammo. I've got a revolver but 90% of the time its more effective to throw it at them.

I'm at level 6 right now, sadly most of my friends have a xbox 360.

HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHA, I did the mission to get the revolver but I can not pick the thing up :grumpy:

I'm at a point where I'm running into a lot of "thug" enemies. Without a gun I've had to resort to throwing everything I've got at them. Literally.

I'm currently on chapter 5 act 2 and have found I believe 3 traders. Some pretty nice melee weapons but no guns/ammo.

I have only found 2 traders so far (life guard tower, light house).

My buddy was right when he said you can get side tracked really easy in this game. I keep forgetting about the main missions lol

There are a ton of side quests and you don't really have to go looking to hard for them.

The hotel mission is pretty dang scary. I don't want to give to much away but it was a pretty good one.

hotel mission???? I'm guessing you go back into the hotel?:dunce: :scared:

Get hold of a lot of alcohol for molotov's and deo bombs for thugs and other bigger than walker. Deobombs are so effective and molotovs too, but need some time to kill thugs

As for the weapons : in the act 2 you find plenty of firearms and ammo from the punks. But as it seems you can't stock a lot of ammo :( . maybe with the firearms expert caracter?).

I bothered a friend the whole weekend, so i can play a bit. Can't wait for my copy to arrive tomorrow.

Get in close, avoid their swings and chop their arms off. They become useless without their arms and you can then dispatch them with anything you like!

I can't seem to get anywhere near them without getting knocked on my ass.

So far I've either been kicking them around corners or door ways or running away until they turn around then run up and kick them in the ass.

I do have a Torch made from a mace that does some damage but it doesn't always light them on fire. Molotovs are pretty good for that but I haven't bothered to take the time collecting enough bottles to make them.

So....my game just loaded up and I've lost all of my equipped weapons plus my fists. Which means I'm left with an empty slot that can't be filled because my fists are meant to be there.

Nice QA work there. Someone needs sacking. I've sent off to Dead Island support at Deepsilver to see what they say, it's pretty much a class A bug that shouldn't have even made it into the released game!

Im currently stuck and have no idea what to do.

I was sent to look for an airplane crash but it's not appearing on my GPS. Am I doing something wrong?

It doesn't appear on your GPS because the plane is lost! That's the point, you have to search for it in the jungle.

Ooh I remember something now. I was on a beach (Diamond something?) and There was a plane above me that looked like it was going down. Was that it?

I'm not sure, I'm on that mission myself! There is a beach near the Diamond Cottages that contains some flares, it might be near there.

EDIT: Emailed customer support about the bug, already got a reply:

We are working day and night to fix glitches like this. Hopefully the first
XBOX patch which will be released very soon resolves this problem.

We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences caused.

Copy arrived today. Yeaaaahhh

I am playing on PC.

Just posted my steam name in the releated thread. Add me for double zombie mayhem

Added the shock mod to a few of my blades last night. Finally got to the second act and started getting some ammo as well.

So i was playing for about 4 to 5 hours last night and i turn on my game this morning and im back at the first mission where i have to go to the safe gurd building. WTF?!? is there not a auto save feature?

AM I missing something? This is the secound time this has happened. Last time i was not far into the game so i figured i just did not get to another check point but now it booted my save game from exactly the same spot.

The game auto saves as standard, there is no option for manual saving as far as I know.

I searched around and there seems to be a bug with the save system. It will save and then stop at early stages of the game.
this seems to affect mostly PS3, Xbox360 and rare cases of PC.

Aparently disconnecting from the PSN seems to help but is not a sure fix.

This entire game is bugged to hell  Hopefully the first patch will fix a few of the problems.
