Demo is up!!

Game feels awesome! I've started on the stock version. I switched over to the tuned version just to try it. OMG :drool: It's so much fun! There's a huge difference in between the cars, it's almost like it's not the same one.
 
You lucky people, enjoy it ;).

Questions so far:
Does it have a setup page for wheels or recognizes them automatically?
You do the full lap or just a sector?
Please nitpick anything that would be a clue :sly:.
 
Wow, I really wish I had a wheel. The car reacts a lot more to bumps and mid corner forces. I'm shaking the stick all over just trying to stay on the road. If you're on the fence about getting a wheel for GT5, and this demo represents the final physics, I say go for the wheel.

BTW, I know why all the vids before used the tuned Z, no TC, much more fun.

I played it with a controller first and it's really twitchy, switch to the wheel and immediately took 2 second off my time.

Ah, me neither ploopsy, and I set my date ahead. I have a Japanese account but I've been up since early for my last day of exams so I figure at this point it'll be as good in the morning. Happy racing all.

You've got that right. N3 feels great with a lot of control yet some nice sliding along with it. Counter steering works better than ever. I just wish I had a damn steering wheel. It's time to get rid of racing with the stick.
 
This feels like absolute crap with the controller, you can go full left to right steering lock in the time it takes to snap your fingers.

I second this!

I'll have to play tomorrow with the wheel, but with the controller... it's awful.

If I waited all this time for it to be bad, I will want to sell my PS3 and get an Xbox and Forza...

I hope the "new Physics" will be great with the wheel...
 
Like people have been saying the physics feel great, much improvement from GT5P. If this is any indication of the final product in terms of physics I'm very pleased in how far it's come. Plus with the G25 equals awesome! The graphics look much better live then in some of the screen shots we've seen . Still it's hard to say if it's better then GT5P (I know PD is not show casing graphics in this demo). It still looks good the lighting looks slightly more natural through at times during the replay it looks real. I haven't noticed any screen tearing either I hope PD fixed that permanently.
